I went to check the patch notes and was surprised that particular quirk went unmentioned.
I've always known Brute taunt to only have a single-target debuff myself. -
It changes nothing. MA missions are infinitely repeatable, so it would just be a matter of reselecting the farm and beginning anew once you get the mission complete bonus. AFAIK, this is how farming already operates, since there's no easy way to reset MA missions in the first place.

Choose your CoH development schedule:
Fast - Cheap - Bug-Free
Pick 2. -

Let's get a direct statement from a dev, please: is this the direction of the future? Everything useful/cool/desirable/asked for will be paid for, and for free we'll get....MA nerfs and...um....Vines?
[/ QUOTE ]
I know I nearly punched a hole through my monitor when I found out that Power Customization was going to a part of a paid expansion, Issue 16.</sarcasm> -
Seems like this would be a bit of an unfair bonus to those who exclusively PVP in Siren's Call.
I'd rather they fix the limitations of and/or expand the bounty system first. -

1) Able to set various "flags" for critters. You know, stuff like robotic, ghost, fae, clockwork, etc. All the various flags in the game that causes some powers to have additional/different behavior with the critter. This way, we can have our custom robots actually take damage from EM Pulse like the normal robots do, for example.
[/ QUOTE ]
While it would be nice to have, I'm not sure if it'll happen. On one hand, it's essentially picking weaknesses, and could be abused. On the other hand, you can already do that anyway with normal NPCs in the MA...
[ QUOTE ]
4) Let us choose what ranged attack melee sets get, or skip it if their other powerset is a ranged one. It's very annoying that my Assault Rifle/Martial Arts military soldiers are running around tossing shuriken when they have a gun. Or another example, if I decided to be egotistical and made one of my toons, let's say a Katana/Invuln/Darkness Scrapper, into an AV to beat around players, I'd like to be able to give him a dark blast to match his APP instead of a shuriken (assuming we don't get APP/PPPs down the road to begin with).
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes plz. I've got what amount to secret agents (MA/SR) that should be using Throwing Daggers by design.
[ QUOTE ]
5) Can we get Mending Mitos back please? I know people farmed them like mad, but that's not why I want them. I don't care if they come back with zero rewards, I was using them, along with the other Mitos for a particular mission to create a Hami-esque battle with an AV. That's no longer possible and I can't finish that arc, at least not in the way I envisioned. I'm sure I'm not the only one who was using them in a legitimate fashion either.
[/ QUOTE ]
While there is no assured timeline, once the Devs can rework them to either give no XP or make their powers work correctly, they'll be put back in, AFAIK. -
[ QUOTE ]
Plus I think this is the first time it's actually been confirmed that they are allowing Side Switching.
[/ QUOTE ]
And here I thought it was confirmed with the title of the big, paid, boxed expansion being Going Rogue... -
It comes up in an interview with Positron in one of the Top Cow comics, I know that for sure.
-
I might just agree if Lusca was altered to reflect being affected by the magical energies in Nerva versus the polluted water of Independence Port.

I don't know what primary you're using with Devices, but I have no problem stunning bosses with my Taser and Screech, or Taser and Beanbag, or Taser and Stunning Shot.
Like someone else said, my only complaint is cast times.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's great if you're playing archery, AR, or sonic. If you aren't, you've got nothing to stack it with (unless you count psychic's nuke).
[/ QUOTE ]
It's like they designed the set around synergizing with AR or something. -
[ QUOTE ]
Thats not whats happening in this scenario. Like, I'll set a Defeat Boss objective, and even on a full team, my AV spawns as an EB, or the EB as a regular boss, and my regular boss as a Lt. So the fights that are supposed to be challenging are pushovers.
[/ QUOTE ]
Gotcha. I wasn't sure which it was. Like I said, it's a bug, though I'm still not clear if it's a known issue or not. -
It's a bug. I reported it back in I15 beta, but it hasn't been fixed yet unfortunately. It's been around since I14 came out, annoyingly.
If you want your EBs/AVs to not spawn with your regular enemies, make sure to right click on them on the Custom Group editor and select "Don't Auto-Spawn". -
Starting at level 25. Though that's at the low-end, 32%, around the same gain as a -1 SO. 30s and 35s get you closer to a +3 SO, but permanently.
-
Actually, I'm pretty sure most of those have been stripped out.
Scrapper powers that get a bonus chance to crit (mostly their Tier 9s, ouch), might still crit, I think. And Blaster sets used to have Defiance (or at least the shoot-while-mezzed part), but I'm fairly certain it was removed (though they might have missed a few sets/powers).
Custom critters definitely don't get Fury though. All of its functions are tied to the inherent, AFAIK. -
[ QUOTE ]
So basically, fighting bosses in the AE is like PvP.
Ouch.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, I might be off on that. More precisely, I think it's that AE critters use player base stats, since they use player powersets, which are then modified by the rank, um, modifiers. -
[ QUOTE ]
Was this a custom boss in an Architect mission? Those have vastly different powers than bosses outside MA -- it's completely night and day. Not only do they have big attacks like Total Focus, and special things like Build-Up, they also can be set to higher difficulty, meaning they do way more base damage than regular bosses.
[/ QUOTE ]
Enemy difficulty doesn't affect their damage, it's purely a mechanic for selecting how many powers they get.
All MA critters do more damage than normal NPCs, as they use player scalars, AFAIK.
Edit again: Okay, now that I've done the math (properly), I was right. The OP had to have been in the low 20s (or even lower, if Willpower or Shield), and therefore fighting something in the MA, as the only NPC Boss I can think of with Total Focus are Crey Power Tanks. -

What's this matrix that some mentioned?
[/ QUOTE ]
The Matrix Room is at the core of the Arenas. Apparently at one point it was meant as a ready room for fights or something.
Basically it's a room constantly emanating the blue Arena teleport particle effect. It's locked off, though, and getting to it is generally frowned upon by the GMs since if you can get there, you can also get under the zone map. -
[ QUOTE ]
Like someone else said, my only complaint is cast times.
[/ QUOTE ]
Pretty much this. Though my complaints also include the fact that Gun Drone needs work, and I dislike the redundancy of Trip Mine and Time Bomb. -
/signed as well, though you can already get both of those from a vet reward.
-
[ QUOTE ]
I always like the freezers and dissection room in the RWZ. Though I think I15 broke the...ah...animation in there.
[/ QUOTE ]
I seem to recall that I14 broke it, then I15 double broke it. -
[ QUOTE ]
Oh, no, not text errors. I'm sure there have never been any noticed in the history of the game.
[/ QUOTE ]
And here people thought it was the AE that was destroying the foundation of our game. Hardly! -
I'm pretty sure it's directly related to just resizing the chat window; I get this a lot on characters with larger chat windows. I've gotten decent results shrinking the window back to near-default size, which seems to fix it at the cost of fewer lines displayed.
-
[ QUOTE ]
I could be wrong about this, but I believe as of I15, all AVs and GMs (Might be just GMs, not sure) have a small chance to drop recipes from pool C/D, which is the taskforce/trial recipes.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's actually bosses and anything higher than Bosses, IIRC.
I'm also concerned that AV XP is somehow considered lacking. I recall it being quite good, actually. -
[ QUOTE ]
In the AE they have rikti with red and black armor whose description states that "they are disguising themselves as Arachnos soldiers". Do those guys ever appear in game?
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't think so. I remember catching them in the files back in the day and wondering what happened to them.
Also, I remember that Kelly Uqua's Rescue the Technicians mission uses the Gordon Freeman-esque orange with grey highlights Rikti. -
[ QUOTE ]
So, you know how in the University, there are those hidden objects that look like normal scenery you can click for a pop up? And the History badge in the Midnighter's Club?
It'd be neat to get things like that in normal missions maybe. Click it, get a pop up info thing. Maybe a mini-mission (like a side mission to the mission you're on), maybe just background ('this desk has little hearts carved in it with the initials "FF + WW". Looks like Frostfire has a crush!') for flavor. Maybe they could be for badges, or just a 'little something extra' like the Easter Egg rooms. And we could probably find some fun uses for it in Mayhem Missions or AE missions.
This idea has nothing to do with the OP, but it did make me think of it.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is actually used to great effect in the Assassinate President Marchand mission.
The real trouble is going through the effort of putting those in, when only a relatively small handful of people will find them.
