Quote:Glad we agree...Yes, Empathy is designed for group play
Yes, Empathy is still soloable
Yes, Empathy DOESN'T really need a buff
Quote:BUT...I still hate how I can only use 3 of the attacks when I am solo...and two of those have extremely long recharges.
Quote:Absorb Pain-
make it a Targeted AoE. Heal decreased to balance. This way the baddie gets damaged and debuffed (can't be healed) and it heals all of the team (even you) within range.
Quote:Clear Mind-
make it a PBAoE. End cost increased to balance. This would make it easier to un-mez a team (you wouldn't need to spam it all of the time) and would give the player some mez-res. It's not absurd, Shadow Fall, Dispersion Bubble, Accelerate Metabolism, Sonic Dispersion, and Steamy Mist all give PBAoE mez-res.
V Edit: And good point, Amy, Clear Mind would just become yet another long-recharge PBAoE power like the Auras, OP. -
Just to clarify, do you mean you only get one forever per character, or you just have to earn them individually?
I have a shape-shifter character who would die for the option to work towards the whole collection... -
I'm still a fan of the "Let's make Endurance Reduction enhancements Schedule something-other-than-A" idea.
-
This may or may not have been already brought up, but is anyone else (on Firefox, in case it has to do with that) having trouble with cookies not updating properly? For instance, I've marked the Site/Forums downtime announcement as read about five times now, and every time I come back it's marked new. Same problem with the "Go to newest post" arrow, it always just takes me to the OP.

Taser isn't melee anymore, if that's what you were referring to.
-
Aren't Arena Tournaments working as of I15, or did I miss something?
-
Let's see them fix Fulcrum Shift first, then port the set.
-
-
I'm pretty sure BABs confirmed there is an alternate AS animation, yeah.
-
I think this might have to do with the slightly annoying aggro behavior/rules than the pets themselves.
I've been playing an Ice/Ice Defender alongside my friend's Fire/Fire and enemies will occasionally beeline for me, unprovoked. -
Quote:I actually don't mind the idea of a veteran beta tester system, but restricting it solely to players who were here on day one for CoH only rubs me the wrong way considering the expansion is for both sides of the game. How in the world is it unfair? People that have been hear the longest get a spot reserved. I don't see a problem with that.
Quote:Is it wrong of me to be more excited about i16 and hoping to get into its beta instead of Going Rogue? Of course, that may have more to do with me only have one for-sure switcher (my Warshade) and whatever other hero AT I finally feel like trying with good content. But changing my powers' colors? Oh yeah, that opens up so many possibilities! -
Quote:My point still stands.Except for the fact that if you keep your account active from August to November, you still get to be in on the GR closed beta. What's more, you get to be in on it when it's hopefully not as broken and incomplete as it will be when the 60+ vets get to see it.

you can always click buffs off if you don't like them....
[/ QUOTE ]
How do you do that?
[/ QUOTE ]
The only ones I can think of that fit this are the buffs from the Mayhems/Safeguards.
[/ QUOTE ]
Temp powers in general, really, but the Mayhem ones specifically had their graphics removed because people complained about them. -
I'm not sure if it should be changed, but another slight annoyance is that if you want to combine a red enhancement from your tray with one already slotted, you have to go through the trouble of manually activating the combination menu, presumably because red enhancements are marked as "can not slot".

[ QUOTE ]
Content you've never played before on a character is still new content.
[/ QUOTE ]
Since you accidentally hid it inside the quote, I want to make sure this gets seen, since it speaks for itself. -
[ QUOTE ]
WRONG.
If Tyrant's Paragon City is as large as our Paragon then that's 30+ zones right there.
[/ QUOTE ]
Complete and absolute conjecture, obviously. As awesome as our devs are working right now, I really don't see them replicating all of Paragon City.
[ QUOTE ]
Furthermore there has been no indication the crossovers are going to be one way. So unless the devs come out and say we can only become redeemed/fallen once per character that means Villains will have access to another 30+ zones. So no matter how you do the math villains will have access to 30+ zones they never had before.
[/ QUOTE ]
My point is, people want new villain zones because people want, surprise surprise, villain content. Opening up Paragon City to villains doesn't do jack for those that actually want their villains to stay evil, and please don't say "just pretend you're being evil...in Paragon City!" since I've played at least 90% of the heroside content. Old content is old content, no matter who you're playing it as.
[ QUOTE ]
Implying that villains won't be able to "reform" then "fall" again from grace is patently disingenuous, just as claiming heros won't "fall" then "redeem" themselves.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's a good thing that I implied no such thing. -
/signed, though purely out of the motivation that I have a Malta Gunslinger Bots/Traps.

3. We have I16 just around the corner with long demanded features, and Going Rogue is another coming attraction that will be introducing new zones, new content, new AT's.
[/ QUOTE ]
Let's wait on some actual evidence of the new AT(s), huh?
[ QUOTE ]
4. Villains will be getting access to 30+ zones when Going Rogue is released.
[/ QUOTE ]
This statement is patently disingenuous. Villains are not getting access to 30+ zones with Going Rogue. Reformed villains are. -
This is the crazy part: I'm fairly certain I've run past an entirely empty Wentworth's before and gotten the same kind of lag.
The stuttering's not particularly terrible on my machine, but it is noticeable. -
And hopefully, speed and reliability.
No more page hangs.
*fingers crossed* -
Voltaic Sentinel has a number of flaws.
For one, you have to resummon it constantly. This isn't entirely terrible actually, since you get a Defiance bonus from it, which could help with Blapping slightly. The other flaw is that since it's a non-targetable pet, it draws aggro onto you. Since you'll be mingling with mobs, I don't see this being too big of a problem.
The big draw of Voltaic Sentinel, at least to me, is that it basically adds in a free Charged Bolts independently (as in, no endurance/animation costs past the initial summon) amongst your own attacks. If you're looking to nab a bit of extra DPS, as well as something that can help attack should you be mezzed, I'd say go for it.
At least copy over to test and experiment with it. -
Intriguing.
Tentatively /signed. -

In the process of creating this character creator, can you guys PLEASE make the effort to separate hats and hair meshes?
[/ QUOTE ]
Given that hats REPLACE hair, that's not possible. The most you can hope for is adding extra hair options unique to each hat, which would be cool, but seems somewhat improbable. I support it, of course! Three different hairs for every hat, please!

I was a bit confused as to why a UI change somehow paved the way for a costume piece overhaul.
I don't disagree with the suggestion, it's just not justified. (And I'm also curious as to why it's here, rather than in the proper forum...)
