It'd be nice if they re-added the chop-shop maps to the Newspaper mission pool. They're perfect for villainside, but are incredibly rare, if not unavailable now.
-
And Kheldians already get a ton of powers in their primary and secondary to make up for the fact that they don't get access to Ancillary Power Pools.
I do think Peacebringers need some work, but none of these is the answer, IMO. -
Under the Missions folder there's a text file called Comments, that's where they're kept.
-
How I think it will happen: A portal will open and the Praetorians will be all "we're going to invade you now kthx".
-
I've always supported this, if only because I have a Bots/Traps who's a Malta Gunslinger.

Quote:Not quite. It's from this wonderfully Japanese game. My avatar actually shows up at the 2:04 mark.Hey Ian, what does your avatar represent? It looks like a lady expressing surprise when her shirt us teleported away.

Considering that all of the required animations already exist, I'm game for it.
I think the only problem is that it would require manual tweaks to several glowies across the game...after all, you aren't always destroying those big lab machines, sometimes you're merely examining them. Conflicts like that.
And obviously, being able to choose which emote the character does upon interaction in the MA is a necessity. -
Quote:Except...that already happened. It's part of the history of the game, not current events (outside of the one reference on one of the KR plaques).1) That would make a really GREAT TF for the game as there isn't a Lost TF now.
Quote:2) Why not give Posi-- and the other non-zone related TF contacts two or more alternating TFs that would count towards the TF Commander badge. -
Quote:Don't forget all of the tiered crafting badges are tied to Memorization of the recipes used to earn them. This is rather off the top of my head, so there may be omissions.
Badges That "Do Something" are typically Accolades and grant a power. Not all accolades do so, but most do. There are exception to this though:
All Day Job badges offer some temp power or bonus, but have to be charged by logging off in the Day Job location, which is what actually grants the power/bonus with the badges making the power/bonus more powerful.
Rescuer gives access to Mr Yen's Store in Faultline.
Trusted With The Secret grants the Oro Portal Power.
Midnight Squad gives access to the Midnighter's Club (and, by proxy, Chimora).
Burkholder's Bane gives access to the dice7 emote.
A Wentworths badge (I can't remember which off the top of my head) gives a bonus (again, can't remember if it's Recipe Slots, Auction Slots or Salvage Space)
Some Crafting badges give more Recipe/Salvage space.
Member of Vanguard grants the abilit to collect Vangard Merits.
On the Red Side, some badges unlock special contacts.
On Both sides, some badges unlock weapons with which you can customise your weapon using characters.
So, yeah, a number of badges, not just accolades, give a bonus, benefit or area access. Beyond that, they can be a fun little item to collect if you're an "explorer" personality. -
Note the dynamic shadows.

I've absolutely fallen in love with Praetoria. The redesigns for the Praetorians are awesome, and I look forward to meeting this Psychic Friends Network.
Dunno about Demon Summoning though. :/ -
The Enforcer costume set is supposed to be the player equivalent to the Hardsuit parts, but I admit I'd also love a smooth-edged armor set like the PPD get.

AFAIK, outside of a few utility additions (Green Line, Faultline entrance, Bloody Bay copter), Skyway's geometry has remained untouched since launch.

Quote:Hey now. Nowhere else in the game has the writing ever been as painfully nonsensical as a mission to "Go kidnap this person" followed by "Go violently break into an Arachnos base to ask the person you just bloody kidnapped a question".As do I, for which I've been criticized. Apparently, everyone hates the standard content - heck, just look at this very thread.

Quote:I can certainly understand your trouble, as Controllers are not easy levelers and are probably the trickiest of the ATs, but...what version of CoH are you playing? I don't mean it as a put-down, but rather absolute confusion. However, he does so little damage and is unbearably weak if attacked (he often gets one and two shotted by MINIONS). I mean, as a Controller, his only defense is to not be attacked (by controlling his foes); but half the foes in the game are immune to holds (anything Boss level or higher, zombies, spirits, ghosts, daemons, etc.), so he's basically dead much of the time. Personally, I don't find this to be much fun.
Being one-shotted by minions is an outright impossibility, and none of things you listed are immune to Holds. Zombies have heavy resistance to Sleep, ghosts tend to be resistant to Immobilize if anything at all, and probably the most important tip I can give you is that bosses can be Held simply by stacking two applications of Hold onto them.
Moreover, I have to wonder if you're trying to solo, let alone solo bosses. Controllers are generally the most team-needing AT specifically because they don't usually do great damage. One major piece of advice is to avoid using your AoE Immobilize unless you're using it strategically, otherwise it only serves to instantly draw all of the aggro onto you.
Finally, have you invested in Radiation Infection yet? That alone will give you a massive increase in survivability. -
Quote:Actually, it's more or less done, hence why it's in Looking For Feedback mode.Just played it and right now it feels too rough so I didn't rate it yet as I assumed this is a work in progress and far from finished. One of the things that will be hard is setting the tone right. You've chosen to let the veat be treated like a grunt who has to do all the nasty dirty jobs and that is fine. But getting the sergeant right is the thing then. Including responses like "Sir, yes Sir, consider it done Sir!"
I tried to have my cake and eat it too, and I think I did admirably. The player has wiggle room to think of Oliver however they like, though I wrote it mostly with a slight sarcastic bent, since he's a low-ranking Huntsman that acts just a bit bigger than he really is. He's not just a standard one-note drill sergeant character, and I don't expect Soldiers playing the arc to be mindlessly loyal either.
I'll fully admit there's probably some stuff I could've written better, but I don't see me changing much outside of some consistency tweaks, since Oliver's tone does shift back and forth a bit.
Quote:Biggest problem I had is that the arc is lacking a story, it is just a bunch of stuff that happens (I did the same with my arc and I realize that this does has not made my arc better. I am still considering how to include a decent storyline in mine). I think, that this one could use a storyline as well. -
For me, a Freakshow rezzing is always answered with a loud warning cry of "REEEEEZZZ!!" due to a particularly...enthusiastic member of a street-sweeping team way back in the day.
-
Except that his head (Madness), arms (Strength), and chest (Heart -> Kindness!) are blown open/crackled apart. Which is awesome. Er, because it's cool looking.
-
As far as I know it, Rick Dakan (who left development before the game launched) wrote the original story bible, most likely collaborating with Jack Emmert.

Quote:And while their enhancement bonuses will be reduced appropriately, there's no level 2 out there with six-slotted powers. Not only will they have set bonuses and possibly accolades, they will also have two more powers. (the +5 thing) which is a big improvement over a true starting lvl 2 character. This gives them possible access (if they chose them) to pick Tier 3 primary and secondary powers, plus they may have tier 1 or 2 pool powers. Just saying.

I briefly had an Earth/Storm Controller who was a Rikti Magus. I basically just tried playing around with the sliders on the scaly/snake face (the one that has discernible eyes/mouth), along with finding a hair style that sort-of mimicked the Rikti skull structure. Then I cobbled together various armor parts to make a passable, if clunky, Rikti armor design using a photo reference.
It didn't really look all that authentic, and I eventually scrapped him for some reason or another. -
A third idea that I still enjoy is the ability to cash in one set of Halloween salvage in order to earn one permanent costume power for that character. It doesn't lessen the convention codes since they're account-wide, and as we've now seen, include entirely brand new costumes.
-
I was also incredibly peeved that the Sigil Costume Change Emote was so pricey. Considering that it's just an emote, and a situational one at that, why in the heck does it cost as much as cool-looking, always-around costume pieces such as the Talsorian blades? Should be 25 or 50, IMO.
