Quote:Presumably you'd still have to log in on at least one character during the anniversary event, so not quite. But then, they're essentially veteran badges, are they not?
Obviously there's a bit of a snag when it comes to people who have had older anniversary badges but then deleted those characters.
I guess what I'm saying is that, yeah, letting people who were in no way, shape, or form actually around for the anniversary events get the badges would be defeating their entire purpose. -
I'd rather they go back and just make the anniversary badges global.
-
I also really like this, if only because it directly references the bauxite and/or red coral mining that otherwise goes relatively unmentioned in CoV.
-
I really don't think the old content needs an overhaul, they just need to hire a "Content Editor" to weed out some of the...weeds...in the mission lists.
-
Forget silver bullets. I just wish they'd go back and tweak the obnoxious levels of resistance to all damage those things have.

Issue 17, which is currently in Open Beta, is going to include several outdoor Roman maps to go alongside the Cimeroran caves that are already available.

Quote:I've heard of slippery slopes, but I think you just plunged off a slippery cliff. To be completely honest I have no understanding how anyone could ask that as a serious question. You rule out so much and so many options to achieve a mind numbing blandness that isn't even particularly desirable as a goal.
If you want to go that route, why not just have one set of numbers for each ATs primary and secondary and have everything else be pick the animation.( You would need all the animations to be the same length as well)
All I'm looking for is for the crash on Rage to be fair to both resistance and defense-based sets. -
Quote:Or how about the developers just (re)design things intelligently instead so that players can't do "stupid things" in the first place? Some things will just never go with others. You are never going to see a great craze for Lutefisk with Neapolitan icecream. Instead of trying to fix things so people can't do stupid things, (Like take sets that just don't go together) It would be nice to just have maybe an advisory when you go to roll a character.
And the fact that you can skip over the defense debuff sounds like another design flaw. -
Well, IIRC, Castle did say back when the crash was changed a rather lengthy time ago that he'd look at it again, mostly to finally get rid of the Defense Debuff so that Rage stopped unfairly penalizing defense builds.

Quote:Maybe there will be rewards for doing potential Exemplary Hero/Villain content, perhaps? In most games, rewards are given for experiencing the content. Why would a reward be given for refusing to do so?
Or more obviously - we know there will be "turning point" missions in GR. One path leads to the grey, one obviously must not. Both paths will certainly have rewards at the end. -
Except that Vigilantes and Rogues do not get access to what I would call both sides of the game. They can travel to the opposite city, yes, but they can only do additional Vigilante or Rogue missions there, AFAIK.

A number of the statues get history plaques and exploration badges.

Superadine definitely comes in a liquid form according to the lore, and so it's likely injected.

I'd love an RTS in the vein of Company of Heroes focused on the various armies of the CoH universe.
Controlling battalions of Vanguard units = win. -
/signed. I'm not a huge fan of Tier-Nines to begin with, but I didn't even bother taking Power Surge because of the transformation.
-
I think there's some confusion going on here between origin-restricted powersets and origin-slanted powersets.
-
I wasn't stating that in defense of Fly. Just pointing out that all of the travel powers have gotten progressively less useful as time's gone on.
-
I also seem to recall him mentioning setting something up so that custom colors would default to the closest match to the default colors. Not sure if that's still in the works or not.
-
Quote:Except for that part where that was never what was said concerning Power Customization.Oooo a dev response, lol. Well you guys said it was 'essentially impossible' to allow us to choose the color of our powers too.
Quote:I beleive the idea is to balance the endurance cost so that going over the current cap would be alright.
I also find it funny that people still complain that Fly is a bad travel power when all four actual travel powers have been largely marginalized thanks to Ninja Run and the approximately 3000 teleport shortcut powers we now have.
Seems barely noticeable? Once I read that thread where Castle explicitly compared VEAT recovery and regen to base I was shocked to see how little it actually gives. And considering that the number one problem that all three of my VEATs have is endurance troubles, I'd love to see Conditioning get a little buff at some point. -
How would tunneling work on those little staircases in Steel Canyon? How would tunneling work on fire escapes? How would tunneling not look like crap on any slanted surface for that matter?
I'd love to see it as a travel power but until those problems get a solution, I don't see it happening. -
I honestly get a little angry when I get a generic Intangibility IO recipe.
I think I'd be even more angry if I got a Intangibility set recipe from a merit roll. -
-
Pointless, and essentially impossible. Fly itself already caps fly speed easily enough that making a "faster fly" would be redundant. Upping the flight cap won't happen either, due to balance and/or performance concerns.

The Lord of Frosts. (Is it any surprise he cameos in my arc, The Time Bandits?)
