    Input Lag v. 2.0

Anyone else have any ideas? I'm about ready to just call ASUS and see what they say.

I pulled some IO's out of the character for my scrapper, but I'll still give it a shot. =p

Update: Ouch... He's down to 33.5% Ranged Defense now. >_>

Again, if it's so easy, let's see you do it.
I'm the guy with the Blaster that tanked a fully buffed Lord Recluse... Remember that convo? lol
  4. Do +4/x8 Cimerorans next!

Unfortunately, I have to agree. Make an alternate build, try the same thing with SOs. This has nothing to do with balance or how well a set performs. It shows the power of IOs... Hell, I can make a DM/EA Stalker who can tank just as well.

And actually, after it all, all of my components are running much hotter.

Bleh. Tried both. Seemed to be going fine in RV until I rotated my camera underneath my character to catch a flier. Then it kicked back in. Checked my GPU temp and it was at 100' C... >_>

    Input Lag v. 2.0

    Okay, new problem has surfaced.

Now running at any graphics except absolute minimum, the game doesn't register my input for a few seconds.

    Example of the typical scenario:
I boot up the updater, no problems. Fast. Load to the Log-In screen, no problems. Fast. Log in, go to Character screen. Framerate drops dramatically for a few seconds, then averages out to about 20fps. I move my mouse over to the character I want to play, mouse moves steadily, no lag, works great. When I hover over the character, it takes it a second to light up and register that I'm hovering over it. I click on the character, it takes it a second to select the character. etc.

Does that with every interface in-game.

    Here's my HelperLog

  8. After much experimentation, I've discovered that enabling FSAA is causing input lag across my entire computer- even out of game and as I'm typing this. There's a small, but noticable latency period. This is a relatively new problem. While I won't blame any patches, it did start happening about 3 patches ago. Sporadically at first, now consistently. Any ideas as to why or if anyone else is experiencing it?
  9. I'd rather have a more permanent solution, if possible... It's quite frustrating, especially as someone who likes to PVP and Farm.

Thanks for the temp fix, though. Will help make it a little easier.
  10. I didn't start having this problem until about two patches ago. If I open up City and stay in City, the client seems fine. When I alt+tab out and back in, I get this horrendous input lag. If I lower my graphics to minimum, it helps a little bit, but the lag is still there.

Running on an ASUS G71GX Laptop and temperature is usually around 80'C when it happens.

This means most other servers have less. Virtue is one of those servers.

It's funny how this myth of "All deh Best went to freedumb" started and somehow got imbedded into the fact that simply more people went to Freedom during free transfers.

At least it gave bad players something to hide behind. "I'm on freedom withd the Bestest!"

If nothing else, Virtue has a very social PVP community. "lolnub"s are few and far between. It's a pretty relaxed and fun PVP environment. Hell, I even had people offering me helpful criticism when I was using Lightning Rod (for pure ***** and giggles) on my Stalker.
  12. You know... this thread is inspiring me to make a /Traps. PL it to 50, then rage-delete it. Thanks for the motivation, guys. =D
  13. I appreciate that. That's more along the lines of what I'm looking for. It doesn't have to be 1:1.6... I'd be fine with 1:1. I just refuse to get less than I'm putting in.
  14. *chuckles* Nevermind, then. I'm looking for a realistic exchange rate. Not something with a flat "service charge"
  15. Dun be stealing my thread! *shakes fist*

Organica: Any idea about what time you'd be on?
  16. Last I heard, exchange rate was in the area of 1:1.6 Red to Blue. If I'm wrong, please correct me.

    Any takers?
  17. This.
    Is.
    Awesome.

  18. You'll only find ToHit Debuff resistance when fighting AVs or when fighting people with FA in PVP. So in general play, you're pretty set with Dark. Now, if you DO happen to be fighting an AV or someone with FA, your numbers drop to around 28.31% as a Dark.

Now, factor in the damage debuff...-37.5% DamBuff. Now, if you can find something with DamBuff Resistance, let me know, but for my quick search, nothing has it. That's, in essence, pseudo resists on your character which can be used in conjunction with Shadowfall. Granted, anything that has +DamBuff, a la, Veng'd Nems or a group with LB Officers will feel this impact less, it's still an impact nonetheless. Now when you actually USE Fearsome Stare (as well as Dark Pit), you're also getting added mitigation through control. Now the enemies roll tohit checks less often, when they do, tohit debuffs and defense will reduce their chance to hit, and IF they do hit, Shadow Fall and Darkest Night will reduce the damage received. Honestly? Oh yeah....Don't forget that Auto-Hit AoE Stun and your Pet. They help, too.

    Now I LOVE me a good Cold...but I'd still take a Dark if I had a choice.
