Back from anime convention.

Saw the link posted in an irc channel. Decided to share it here.

This is why the end of the world did not happen.

Tomorrow is the last day of the anime convention. I get to deal with my sunburn and a blister tomorrow while there. Woo!

There needs to be cooperation on a team. This is key. Cooperation is not just following the tank. It's working together. Good team leaders guide the team towards the goal, even if the team is struggling. Bad ones start screaming when the team starts struggling then starts booting people because they're not 'following my directions!'. They are also the ones who sit there for hours looking for a healer, and NOT a support character.
I don't know about you. I'd rather have a competent FF defender over an incompetent Empath.

But after that, I'm heading off to the Anime Convention in my city for the weekend.

I have a character that the steampunk set will fit PERFECTLY. Right now he's just using the current in-game steampunk stuff, which is just the armor texture. The new stuff would make him even more epic.

Oh I'll probably pop into Union a couple of times. I could get a new character start on it, but not abandon my characters on Virtue.

If you don't drink, I've got that covered.

I have an interview for a job tomorrow!

Today I need to do my civic duty and go vote in the Canadian federal election.

I crashed shortly after Avatea left and couldn't get back in game. Glad I was there for a bit of it. Great to see all those people there!

I was dancing in the D on my griffin. Then my game crashed, due to Video related issues.

I had to reloadgfx and unloadgfx and text was still blocky and and and...

I need a new PC.

*loads up DosBox and plays God of Thunder*
What? It's a freeware game by Adept Software now. It's like Zelda!

Today was my last day of classes in my course completely. My Graduation ceremony is at the end of May. But the freedom starts now.

First post from a fresh Windows XP SP3 install.

Well the good thing is that it'll allow me to run City of Heroes, but I will need to change the settings a little. Hopefully it won't crash as much as the GeForce 7600GS I've had in it. Maybe that's why my city of heroes kept on freezing.

The capacitators on the video card burst somehow. I got it second hand, anyways. I'll use Windows XP since it actually supports my video card.

Video card is broken. I have an old ATI Radeon X800.

Time to use that instead.

*eye twitch*
XP after drivers are installed doesn't work... ARRGH!

Stupid POS computer.

Well that was not a nice surprise.

I went to get my pants from the tailor, and left my windows unattended. I return to 35/106 downloaded, because IE8 was waiting for user input. Arrgh.

Safe mode crashed in about 5mins. That was an improvement of 4 minutes from my original install. It's too late now, I'm already installing XP. As long as I could play City of Heroes or other games on Steam...

Looks like XP is working. It still needs a little work to get it all set up, but it should be working.

Guess who's computer just decided that Win7 is no longer going to work at all?

I'll see if XP works on it.

My desktop PC's crashing for no reason. It'll be my only PC after I return this laptop tomorrow and get $500. I hope it's just a bad driver and something I can recover from without a full format & reinstall...

[EDIT:] Which I don't want to spend time to figure out what it is now. Full format time.

This is the one time I'm glad that I'm in Canada and the media blocking.

Today I was not as confident on this exam. Hopefully I at least got a D in the class overall. 50% is enough, don't mind if my GPA plummets, as long as I pass.

I'm replacing Journey with Guns N' Roses. So nyah. When I get home I'll probably play some Burnout Paradise for even more Guns N' Roses and driving the Delorean from Back to the Future in it.

In other racing game news, Trackmania 2 is looking slick. If it's as fun as the first one barring those stupid maps that make it so you need to restart the entire map if you fail because they say it's "fun" to put a checkpoint right before someplace you need lots of speed, it'll be good.

I have finished my last final exam (barring me failing a course oh please don't let me fail I don't want to return to classes come fall...)

Friday is my final day of essential school work, but there's no more studying now. Unless I take a class on my own for something else.
