In City of Heroes (we also know it's villains too, but for simplicity it's CoH), nobody really wants to bring on the wrath of people who want the throne of power for themselves in the isles. Lord Recluse has basically sealed his throne of power. I doubt an election in the isles would be balanced, and any opposition to Lord Recluse would suddenly vanish...

I don't think anybody wants to deal with ALL of Arachnos to take power for themselves. Sure, people don't like Recluse, and would take power if Recluse suddenly died, but could you imagine the battles that would result if Recluse died, with all the people who want to take control? Lord Recluse is on the top because he can control all of Arachnos to be his private army. Heroes and Villains may be able to take him down, but they can't take down everyone else.

In Paragon, it's different. Paragon is still part of the United States in the CoH universe. If it's attacked by the Rogue Isles, that's a declaration of war on the entire United States if it was led by an army. AFAIK, Longbow in the isles and Arachnos in Paragon are considered terrorists in those specific locations.

Also, I doubt a huge attack would occur. See Manticore's Answer in the last question of the first post.

(( On another note, I got 1,000 points in Assassin's Creed II on the Xbox 360. It was the first game I got 1,000 points in, and the feather collecting took me 5 hours! ))

I had fun yesterday. I played Assassin's Creed II yesterday, and finally beat it. I haven't finished it, but I saw the ending. I just have a few more things to get to have 100%, but the ending is awesome and insane. Lovely ending. I can't discuss it here. Next I'm thinking of a playthrough of Mass Effect.

Today, was a good day so far except for the lack of anything on TV. For the past 4 months I was away at class at this time. Well, there was that one week I had the Monday off, but I had homework that weekend.

This week, I have NOTHING. I need this break, but it can be boring when I'm watching TV and it has nothing.

Sorry I couldn't join you guys for the Sunday succession of the Gala.
I had real life stuff to do, but I'm sure it was fun.

First of all, welcome to the game, torahiko. Don't let the server being down be indicative of the game as a whole. In my 3 years and about 9 months of playing, this is the only time outside of maintenance that Virtue has been down like this.

I think a main issue is that it went down late at night. Not many people would be at the data center. I think one of their main priorities for the morning will be to get the server back online.

Glad to hear that the Gala will return again tomorrow. I'll try to make it, but since it's on a Sunday there might not be that big of a chance.

Yes... I am now... FINISHED!
No more school this year. No more needing to wake up at 8am in order to do classes this year. 3 glorious weeks of relaxation and preparation for next semister. I needed this break, and I earned it. I am finished.

Well, I'm DONE my Christmas shopping! I got my Dad his gift, my Mom her gift, got her a movie too (she is not expecting the movie), my brother's gift came...

So, I'm all done. All in under 24 hours. Tomorrow is my exam, then I have nothing to worry about until Jan.

I ordered the Christmas gift for my brother yesterday. It came from Ontario. I live in Alberta. It came via UPS today. That's fast. Overnight shipping, woo!

I know what my Dad wants for Christmas. He's taken care of. I know what my Mom wants. I'm going soon to get her present.

The government gave me a cheque that's tax free of a quantity I will not discuss here. I don't need to pay it back. So it's free money. And just in time, too.

So, tomorrow is my final day of the semister. When I get home, I'm not doing any housework. Tomorrow, I'm going to the Winter Gala since I want some time off to do whatever
