Makes me wanna roll a stalker - just no clue what kind ROFL
-
I have to file a petition every month to get mine. Every month it initially shows somewhere in their system that I received mine---until they actually LOOK and see. Usually only takes 2 emails after the petition and max of a few hours.
-
Been a month since last red name reply - pics please
-
Well since I had no desire to play with converters - I give Issue 22 a win.
Working on my dark dom now. Next toon I will work on will be my staff scrapper when it comes out -
**STARRING** the ones I hope get fixed SOON!
Badges New!
Bloody Bay: The Brotherly Love badge is not awarding correctly to players who defeat 2 Shivan Obliterators within 30 seconds of each other.
****LFG Tab Crash New! ****
Opening the LFG tab on a character with less mission options after displaying the LFG tab on a character with more options will cause a client crash.
This crash can be avoided by quitting to desktop and restarting the client when switching to a character with less options if you use the LFG tab for both.
Switching from a character with less options to a character with more options should not cause a similar crash.
This crash may also occur without switching characters when opening LFG after changing your alignment to Villain.
Incarnate Trials New!
Minds of Madness and TPN Network Incarnate Trials have their earned iXP displayed incorrectly in the LFG description.
TPN Campus states that players will earn Alpha, Judgement, and Lore XP in the trial, however Interface and and Destiny XP are granted.
Minds of Mayhem states that it grants Alpha, Interface, and Destiny XP, but Judgement and Lore XP are earned in the trial.
TPN Campus: The Left Pistol does not unlock for female thugs masterminds when crafting the Maelstrom Pistol recipe.
Stalkers New!
For power sets that use weapons, Assassin's Strike will not animate if used out of hide if weapons are not yet drawn.
Dark Melee New!
Assassin's Strike does not animate after using Build-up.
****Darkness Affinity New!****
Fade: This power's benefits are currently only affecting the caster.
Dominator New!
Ice Control/Block of Ice: This power is not accepting the Ascendency of the Dominator ATO set.
Tanker New!
Might of the Tanker: Recharge/Chance for +Res(All) and Superior Might of the Tanker: Recharge/Chance for +Res(All) are not currently slottable into Electric Armor/Lightning Field, Fiery Aura/Blazing Aura, Ice Armor/Icicles, Stone Armor/Mud Pots and Dark Armor/Death Shroud.
Mission Architect
Editing a contact/boss/villain group's name in Mission Architect while "Show Save Path" is active will cause a client crash. -
Hoping they fix the known issues associated with it soon...like SOON SOON.

Uhmm Just send a petition if your rewards are not rewarding correctly. I get my transfer token and points religiously on time, but the past few months have had to petition for my reward token. It takes approximately 1 petition and 1 email replying to their response...so like 2 minutes of my life - and voila they fix it within the hour.
The system is not perfect or WAI for some, but seriously it takes less than 2 minutes on your part to file a petition and reply to an email. -

I lol'd!
Quote:I have never done a Raid on WoW could not stand the game.
I am a very long time gamer - literally from the day of 300 baud modems. I played text adventures, Elite, Dungeon Master, Half Life, TFC, Soldier of Fortune 1&2 and a ton of games in between.
I have a squad of cheerleaders constantly reminding me that the reason DA solo missions have terrible rewards is because Trials are HARD.
In the Baf in 20 seconds I figured out how to slow the prisoners to a crawl and I had never set foot in the zone. I figured out that getting on the boxes means I am away from the blue AoE splash and never died - I was spamming my attacks as a good blaster should and only needed 3 greens to heal even though I was outside of the healing shield area.
In the Lam I mostly had to battle the lag inside and died when I froze in the middle of a large group. I again reply these are NOT hard. They require an orchestration that says do this now - and in fact they scream at you in huge letters what to do. I was there the first time on Champion that 150 of us defeated Hamidon.
I help plan and work for MONTHS to figure him out. Marut was the genius and we were the grunts. I died literally hundreds of times on my tank as we studied Hamidon. It was research and it was HARD.
The untyped damage and no protection from it.
The monster spawns and our SG - Sin - running monster duty.
The sniper squads.
The healing shields.
Learning the order of defeat and the damage required to overcome the Mitos.
On the day we defeated Hamidon without gimmicks in a straight in your face fight - I became Incarnate. The game can hand that out now if they want to but when me and 149 of my friends kicked Hamidons *** after months of planning - that was hard.
Marut, Dynamite, Acemace, CC, Addie, Zarok and so many others who worked so hard for so long - on that day we became gods. I didn't need a level shift to know it and those first Hami O's - even though I gave away my first one because of the poor delivery system and some were shorted - was sweet.
So please when you tell me something is hard - have a little perspective. These trials are trivial. I ran with our Sin SG a nightly Respec team that would Guarantee anyone they would get a Respec even when it was bugged and could randomly spawn +6 Freaks in the reactor room. -
There are very few things that distinguish VIPs from Premiums...IOs being one of those things. This game was centered around SOs for EVERYONE up until Issue 9 , and people did some amazing things with "just" SOs. Premium players are getting CoX at absolutely no cost for basically everything up until Issue 9 whereas before Freedom there was not an option. I am very tired of Premiums asking for more more more when truth be told they contribute very little to this game compared to VIPs. You are getting a game for FREE - the same game I had to pay for; for years, to be able to play with "just" SOs. $2 is NOT a lot of money to get access to IOs - if you can't be bothered to shell out $2 a month for them that is your choice. The other option is to pay $15 a month and get IOs and everything else.
If it were me and I could not afford $15 a month I would GLADLY pay $2 a month so I could maintain my IOs if I were not high enough on the Reward ladder to have them unlocked. -
The problem with the data is that it is not uniform. You are using 4 different UGTs as your test. Did anyone DC during it? Did you kill the EXACT same amount of enemies? There are way too many variables and too small of a sample size to give an accurate reflection on whether the power is WAI. If you are truly trying to test Windfall you need to do it on a much smaller team (preferably solo) on the same map, with the same amount of enemies etc. As far as I can tell from your data Windfall is working in that it provided you with the promised inf gain...everything else is random especially with such a large player base absorbing the rewards.
-
Never used one but seems to be WAI per your data. You received the extra inf which is a guarantee, and regarding drops those and you are at the mercy of the RNG.
-
QFT I love the player rating system - keeps me away from a few people I have run across that I will gladly skip teaming with again.

Quote:I don't plan on BUYING any super packs.. like every other VIP...I get a FREE monthly stipend...see there FREEYeah, and I'm not okay with "buying randomness". (In before "then don't buy them".) I have no intention of buying them, and if there were no exclusive items to the packs I'd be content to ignore them entirely, but it still bothers me that they're trying to draw people into buying them with this sort of thing. It's almost as if they know people wouldn't bother with them if there was nothing locked behind them.
So for free I am getting a chance at all the goodies the super packs contain...enhancements, merits, costume parts, etc....
Everyone is sooo hung up on the "fact" that these cost points that they seem to forget we (VIPs) get FREE points every month...effectively meaning every month we can get 5-6 free super packs. -
Quote:Exiled??A server where a Infinity, Exiled, Freedom, or Etc player can jump on to and interact with players from other servers. Even start fights with groups from other servers. PvP Players happen have a special place where they can go kick booty. The Small number on the servers warrants it. Multi versus server where a Infinity play can play with a exiled without transferring there chars or having start a new char. and make the gains less on the milti server like 25% what they are on home servers.
Or do you mean Exalted? -
Uhm each pack is 80 points. I know exactly what I am getting when I buy them...a chance to "play" the super packs and receive random rewards. Same as I know when I click on a random gold recipe using my AE tickets...I am getting a random gold recipe. So you see people KNOW what they are buying they just don't know what they will get when they open the packs...you are buying the possibility..the randomness..the surprise.
-
Hard to get?? 2-3 Rikti events and boom ya got it.
I think the reward it offers is in-line with the amount of time/effort it takes to obtain. -
So if I use leftover paragon points from my monthly stipend on super packs..is that gambling? I mean I got the points free as part of my sub so it didn't cost me anything....just saying

Quote:Kinda hard to ASK questions to a recorded Ustream... Like I said...I work Mon-Fri 8A-5P. I already watch the Ustream or read the notes form it every week. The other obvious answer: Most of the weekly Ustreams are recorded and are available for viewing at your leisure fairly soon after they're finished.
-
Quote:Zwill - thank you for replying...truth be told I didn't actually expect a reply - my hope was maybe someone who could go/does go to the UStream would maybe ask one of my questions (OK not the i22 one though). Regarding bases - yeah I know they are fragile and the designer who did them has not been around for ages...I guess I was just hoping more in game items that we see in missions would be ported in - something I know we have been asking for a long time. I see all these cool things in missions and I just imagine what I could do with them in my base. I wish I could attend a UStream, but like many people I work Mon-Fri 8A-5P, but I will gladly call off one Wednesday since you agreed to pay my salary that day (I deciphered your code and saw that you said that in your message, but don't worry I won't tell anyone how to decipher your code!)We add to SG bases as time allows. over the last 2 Issues we've made some decent QOL improvements (More easily manipulation of objects in the designer and increased nodes on the telepads) and we'll most likely do more as we're able to.
When it comes to bases we tread very lightly. It's a legacy system which takes a significant amount of time to reverse engineer any time we want to do *anything* to it. Because player bases are tied to it, and subsequenty a significant investment of your time, anything we do is going to be done in a methodical and cautious manner.
It's not on a schedule right now but it's a feature we know is wanted.
As Tunnel Rat has said both on Ustream and her all things art thread, she's investigated it. I don't know if she's scoped out the amount of time it would take or if it's been approved by production, however the FX team has done more than just nod gratuitously at it.
Stock Synapse answer every time he's on Ustream (he'll be there again this Wed): If it's within reason it will eventually be proliferated. It's just a matter of time.
We're adding new maps every issue, including a new cave map with Issue 21 and (I think) another in 22.
No.
No. We know people want it, however right now it poses to much of a risk from a customer service standpoint. It's very easily exploitable by RMT'rs and opens us up to untold amounts of fraud.
Yes, although I do not expect a fix in the immediate future.
The current Market interface doesn't support this. We do not have direct control over this. I imagine there's other concerns such as performance and how much real estate this would take up in the interface, but that's between our vendors and the graphic designers.
Don't forget you can always preview costume parts in the costume creator which will let you jump directly to it in the market if you don't own it. This feature was added in Issue 21 to accomodate players seeing items before they purchase them.
If you've seen how frequently we're putting out Power Sets these days, you know that the likelihood of this happening is probably better now than it has been in the past. We have some plans for defensive based secondaries/primaries, however I cannot say what AT's they're for at this point.
The devs spend a lot of time answering concerns and responding in the beta forums. This is the content they're currently working on and thus requires the most direct interaction. When they have time they answer questions in the non beta forums, but that is less frequent.
Keep in mind that I do a Ustream broadcast every week. Each Wednesday at 10:30 AM Pacific you can join us and ask your questions in real time as we usually have a developer stop by and chat for awhile. We always dedicate the last 15-20 minutes to Q&A and we rarely shy away from any questions, so long as they're asked in a respectful and non trollish manner. We also record and archive each episode, so as long as you don't mind sitting through a bit of tangenting, there's usually some decent information to glean from them on a weekly basis.
On a broader scope: If we can provide a more detailed answer, we will. If we can answer it, but only in general terms, we will. It's my belief that it's just as important to acknowledge a concern or a request as it is to provide a specific detail regarding it which is why we will always acknowledge a question as a known quantity when it's appropriate for us to do so.
So you read it here first people.... Issue 22 is going live on February 28th! (Hides decoder ring) -
Quote:I miss the monthly letter....just saying.*Inserts comment regarding how Freedom Friday's target audience isn't the veteran players and forum goers, but rather players who have been away from the game and/or new players.*
Facebook is a great way for us to hit people who don't regularly hit the forums but check FB daily. We definitely appreciate the enthusiasm you are all showing for these weekly Q&A sessions, just remember that they're more focused on answer questions for people new to the game or who may be interested.
So...any plans on something similar for people who frequent the forums?? (Aside from player summit) I have loads of questions I would like to ask, but unfortunately...work when the Q&A is going on.
1. Seriously are there any plans to add to bases or should I just give up hope after 5 years? While the hacked telepads are nice...would have been cooler if they were actually different than the standard telepads.
2. Are we ever going to have a way to invite our own toons to our own SG without the help of others or an alt account?
3. Is customization for power pools something you are working on or do you just say "we have heard this requested a lot" as a way of just not answering or of not saying "no."
4. Is Force Field in the plans for power proliferation to Corruptors?
5. Can we please get more maps...after 7 years I am tired of the same cave (I HATE YOU PURPLE CAVE MAP! ...and your ugly brother The Council Base!)...I however loved the Halloween mansion!
6. When is Issue 22 going live...yeah yeah I know..but can I get a MONTH at least?
7. Are you actively working on a way to gift paragon points?
8. Is the level pact issue being worked on?
9. Can we please get pictures of costume parts in the market interface so we know what they look like before we waste our points?
10. Any chance of a Hero APP set that contains a defense based shield for defenders (hero corruptors)? Please not ICE...something akin to scorpion shield would be nice...I just hate the idea of running around covered in ice.
Those are some of the questions I would ask. -
Shoot
I never saw this thread...and the first day has passed
