Could be a server thing... Some servers have trouble succeeding in BAFs/LAMs. There are many reason they could have failed...
    Poor leadership
    Too many AFkers
    Not enough level shifted players
    Incompetence
    Overly Cocky Players
    etc...........

All I can tell you is that on Freedom success after success after success are being ran of full Mag trials. most sevrers pick up how to complete a new itrial with a solid success percentage within a week or so.... could be you just got on the ones where no one had a clue how to do them at the moment.

I agree, and for some that is the Incarnate System. However, the reason why people are leaving isn't as important as people are leaving.

Not all my global channels are from one server. And your ad-hominem is without basis in reality.

Talk to Zwillinger. All I can say, and have said, is from what I've seen happening on my global friends list and the global channels I subscribe to.
I have had a few globals leave in the past 6 months..some for a specified time (1 friend left for a month for financial reasons and military duty)...and I have added more globals lately than I have from 2008-2011.

I'm not trying to be a jerk about this, but I think the issues you are seeing tend to be a Triumph and smaller server issue. Had a chat other day on where people started playing coh..and not surprisingly most people actually started out on smaller servers (Guardian myself)...and came to Freedom when they wanted a more populated server. What I think you are seeing on Triumph is an exodus of those who like to do incarnate content...in part..leaving for a larger more active server to make their enjoyment of the game more fulfilling. I left Triumph around 6-8 months ago when it became apparent to me that itrials were not a "thing" on Triumph. Not going into the specifics; because then it looks like I am bashing the Triumph player-base. The funny thing about me leaving Triumph though..I ported a +3 toon over to play with some friends who played there...but it seemed they never wanted to do incarnate stuff and when we did it was tedious to say the least - which is/was not enjoyable to me - so I left.

Each server tends to have a subset of players...and I just think the itrial mentality is not something most Triumph players enjoy. To me Triumph is an extremely casual server of people who roll alt after alt after alt after alt..who do not mind street sweeping..doing low level content etc... that got really old for me after a few months. I am after all a Freedomite...a min/maxer who wants to make their toon as powerful as possible....
  3. I just ignore people who spam HELP... Who knows maybe by the time they get rotated off my ignore list..they will have learned by now.. if not.. Re-Ignore

The LFG chan seemed quite active yesterday on Freedom...and HELP seemed much less concerned with "lft" stuff... I did see a few people direct others to the new chan...and a few "Oh oops... thanks" comments.

You forgot to put in the disclaimer: On Triumph.

Triumph may be seeing a decline which is understandable since it is not as active when it comes to 50+ content like Freedom/Virtue tend to be.

The lack of Incarnate trials is the MAIN reason I left Triumph. You may not like it, but many do...as evidenced by multiple instances of starting zones for incarnate trials even before i23 hit on Freedom/Virtue. People leave this game for a plethora of reasons..some you may know..some may be true..some you don't know..and some may be lies. The only way to effectively know if someone left because of incarnate content would be if that were the reason the player stated during their exit poll....otherwise your assumption is just that...sure it may be based on what someone told you, but that is still assuming they are being honest...and not just telling you what you want to hear.

In every single case but one, once crafted and slotted, I just retired that toon until the next Incarnate power comes along and then I'll do it all over again. With one of them, I actually went out and did a few more TF's just to see what the new Hybrid power brought me (which wasn't much...but then as a T4'd Incarnate, I don't need much).

People post all sorts of badge location and 'how-to' guides but the elitists don't ever bother pointing out that it would be "so much more fun to just stumble onto those badges naturally!" Why is farming an iTF aberrant behavior if following a badging guide/process is not? Its just a power. Not like getting it in any way deprives someone else's enjoyment of the game.

Well unless you factor in jealousy and petty selfishness, of course.
This post is full of elitism

His 75% failure rate to my 85% success rate...

Then again.... his was a complete guess that 75% of leagues were failing as there is no way to tell what percentages of leagues are failing this...only your own failures/successes.

Bottom line... new trials fail much more when they are released...and the success rates climb as the players learn to adapt to mechanics etc. My advice... form a better league yourself...find more competent teammates...or just wait a few weeks until more people can run it successfully.

    That..... thats not good...
Maybe everyone you are playing with are bad players.... Many servers/leagues have seen much better results. Heck there are already people working on their Mo badges on Freedom. Of the 7 Mag I did yesterday... 1 failed (I was not the leader...and they were basically complete PUGs).

I wouldnt call this stupidity, its selfishness.....their own benefits override anyone else's.

99.999999999% of mmo players are selfish to the extreme, The devs know this, they arent new developers, they know players will hose over 23 other people for the smallest reward.

This isnt exageration, you know this as well as I do, that players are incredibly selfish and will act like this with the slightest provocation.

I also think there is no way they can justify a farm nerf without a nerf to tyrant too.

    actually let me clarify this.
if he wasnt clear it was a full and not a farm, thats stupidity on the leaders part
If he was clear and people just left anyway, thats selfishness.

I had just come back from my own farm a short bit ago and was talking with a friend so I just saw the aftermath.
99.999999999% of percentages given on CoH forums are exaggerated.
  9. It works exactly as described in the last "Hybrid Changes" thread in the beta forums.

What disappoints me are players who see an initial concept of a power...fail to follow it's changes on an open beta server....and then rant how it is not what it was originally.

Hybrid has seen many changes/compromises. The end result is based off input and testing by players and devs....if you don't like the end result...beta is where you should have been giving your discontent/suggestions/feedback.
  10. I loathe the new login screen...it is mainly the face she is making.. just looks silly to me.

    6/7 Successes

Not quite the 3/4 ratio you are claiming. I like that it is not an absolute cakewalk.

And FYI these were all PUGs with 2-3 friends on league max. If you are running it and notice there is not enough debuff etc... speak up. At least in this trial every AT can feel like they are contributing something. Don't blame the trial for faulty league leadership...which will improve as it gets ran more and more. I remember when BAF first hit.. people failed failed failed failed...I think the first week it was out I did 10-12 runs with maybe 2-3 successes.

But hey if you wanna quit..quit. Makes no sense for someone to subscribe to a game they do not enjoy. I would like to add though that your experiences with the Mag...are not universal and many people enjoy it as well as Hybrid. On Freedom there were numerous Pocket D's with a lot of Mags running as well as all the other itrials....in my book it's a good addition to the itrial experience.

And asking questions is certainly interaction - I enjoy it when people are new to trials on my leagues because it usually means they'll have a few things to say as the mission moves on.
QFT.. TFs and Trials are the thing I like most about CoH

That's more true now than ever. The reason "we" try to "downplay" the RP is that it's not really that common unless you go looking for it. Seriously.

In a way i almost envy you. See, while i don't actively look for RP most of the time i find it entertaining when it shows up in a PuG. Yet somehow i almost never seem to run into it and yet you who apparently dislike it find it everywhere you go. i guess it's sort of like how cats are always drawn to the person who has allergies.
    LOL must be.
  20. I have 6 50's ... all of which are t3 on everything and a few t4'd. When Hybrid comes out I am not sure if I will be getting it on all my toons....I will test it out on my main and see if I like it. But yes..due to the long duration between powers...once unlocked I would have enough components on every toon to tier 3 them easily.

I think they should have released Judgment/Lore together... waited 3-4 months and then done Interface/Destiny...instead of all 4 at once.

You were definitely in Pocket D when you reached this conclusion.

That's right. We're a bunch of ERP catgirls that don't know how to play.

Anecdotal evidence varies from person to person. I've had a lot of bad experiences on "Freedumb". I've seen a few BAFs that went way worse than any I'd ever seen on Virtue. The farm and PL spam is a constant annoyance. I also tend to get a lot of blind invites- even to SGs!
I never said anything about catgirls and specifically said I doubt this reflected MOST of Virtue. I do have to say though....for a server that prides itself on it's RP...always seems people try to downplay the RP when trying to convince others to play on Virtue. That is what got me to transfer a toon to Virtue...a friend played there "Oh the RP isn't there if you don't wanna deal with it etc." Seems every PUG I ended up in had RP. The toon I transferred to Virtue was a female toon..and I got no less than 50 unsolicited tells in 9 months about how "sexy" I was... So much so I put it in my bio that I was a guy...which didn't slow it down much LOL! Like I said: YMMV. I prefer Freedom for it's fast paced, min/max, trial/tf galore playstyle. People say min/max like it is a bad thing on these forums, but I just look at it at trying to make your character the best it can be...which is what I enjoy about CoH (and Mids woot!).
  22. neither suggestion would make me very happy.
