So GG you always seem to be "in the know." Is Water Blast an Issue 23.. or Issue 24 power set?? Reason I ask is this: Water Blast is currently on the forums in Issue 23 Beta. It is the only new power on beta atm. So................

Its easy as long as you arent an MM or a pet dependant controller.
Also leading a trial doesnt guarantee everyone will still, even if you clearly state full trial, you still are at risk of loosing a few people after the 250.
The BUG only affects the very last part of the trial so no it does not invalidate any AT for the trial. I run with trollers and MM all the time. If it offends you so much to dismiss your pets for the last 5 minutes of the trial...uhm that's your problem not mine...I can see the benefits of a petless MM...they do have a secondary and most have a blast or two. -

Not everybody is in the zone all at the same time to see the first message.

They repeat a message so that "new log-ins and zone-ins" will know they are interested in a group.
The more people sending messages to the same channel and the more population and traffic in a zone the faster you should expect people to send messages.
Ever try to talk to someone right next to you in a room full of people doing the same?
Nobody means to talk loudly, but their voices, all relatively similar soundwaves, amplify or cancel each other out such that everyone ends up needing to increase their volume just to be heard at close range.
In the case of the game, a chat channel gets spammed by so many people, or people go in and out of range so quickly(zoning and logging), that the "volume" and speed of chat messages needs to increase to catch the attention of the intended target.
This is especially true if you can't send private messages.(This is why I would think it better to allow F2P private message access first. They can't spam multiple people this way and get annoyed in a global channel such as Help when people ignore their only method of communicating easily. Communication is a necessity, not a privilege.)
So, I don't see any problem with somebody even spamming so long as they have about 30 seconds or more between messages, in the same chat channel.
I have a problem with people who judge people way too early and harshly when they are also likely guilty of similar/same at other times.
No need to spam broadcast every 2 minutes. As soon as I finish a trial I send a msg in league stating "Running X trial now..if you wanna stay...stay..if not thanks for joining" or "That's it for me everyone..thanks for joining and have fun." And then after about 30 seconds I advertise the new trial.....
If everyone were to spam every 2 minutes that too would also clog up a channel and no one would see who is LFT. Patience goes a long way...as does the balls to lead. Instead of standing around spamming LFT and then whining "no one teams" take a proactive role and lead a team/league...it really won't hurt you. People's aversion to the star amazes me...it is just a game.. you are not leading people into a real war where someone might actually die or get physically hurt. I see plenty of people form leagues and state something like "Hey guys I have never led this trial...." and others say it's cool etc... I even see others offer to lead etc... just takes a lil initiative instead of standing around screaming "LF X!" -

Or how about actually reading why people don't pvp instead of assuming it's because people are "care bears." I pvpd for a long time.... I even pvpd in beta. I stopped roughly a year ago because there is no REASON to pvp. There is no organized pvp... Everyone I did pvp with has stopped pvping, but still plays the game. The rewards are laughable and easily obtainable outside of pvp. So what does that leave?? badges?? Meh. Rep?? LOL (Yeah cuz that means nothing).
And before you start commenting on min/maxing as a negative thing... uhmm THAT is what pvp is all about.. THE BUILD. Give someone 10 billion inf and they can easily pvp...it takes no more skill than any other part of this game. I hate to break it to you but even pvp is easy in this game...especially with a kited out build. So before you get on your soapbox...hard truth... pvp is not hard...and it offers nothing worthwhile as a reward.
And yes... the extreme slander, disrespect, immaturity and gank behavior of some pvpers is what does turn people off of pvp...because that behavior makes it NOT FUN for some people...and lest you forget...people play CoH to have FUN.... -

Spam to me is the same message over and over... If I am standing in PD (Where Freedom starts their itrials) ... I stand there for a few minutes to see what is being offered up in broadcast. If I do not see what I am looking for advertised...I send out a broadcast looking for whatever trial I am looking for. There is no need to send that broadcast again in 2 minutes..and again in 2 more minutes and again in 2 more minutes. Reminds me of some caffeinated teenager bugging their parents nonstop... It's a sad commentary on society (especially virtual society) and is reflective of the "GIMME NOW" attitude.
In other words...If I am looking for a TPN... and announce this...and in a few minutes no one has invited me or started advertising for one...I will start my own. Instead of standing around repeating myself over and over and over.. I will take a proactive approach at doing the trial I want.
Maybe I am more patient than most gamers, but spam (yes that's what I consider what someone like this is doing) is just unnecessary and irritating, and does not make me want to invite that person to my league...it actually has the exact opposite effect. -

And Several people are also wondering what happen to the very TEAM ORIENTIED Base Raiding that we were promised with the release of CoV.... The very same CoV so many of us only purchased so we could have the PvP/Base Raid asspect of the game.

I like the name because of the double take you have to do..and the subconscious switch of Bad/Bed that happens when you read the name. I also like it because well. it's true.. I Wet The Bad... aka Villains.
What is perplexing to me is this though: Water Blast is in the Issue 23 beta section of the forums...not Issue 24 (which is not even on the forums yet)....So it makes me wonder... will Water Blast be out before Issue 24... Hmmm????

Meh... I see this all the time and have for quite some time. It doesn't bother me and generally I never join their team/league.
I rarely IGNORE people in game but I do use the star/rating system on almost every person I team with which is quite beneficial.
I 1 starred a spammer tonight. I was forming a BAF and he kept spamming his Mag farm every 10-15 seconds. He eventually gave up (after about 4-5 minutes of non-stop spam) as there were actual Mags going on and people joining those and other itrials. -
She was level 34... so it's not like it was her first day
When I have teamed with freemiums I always tell them if they have any questions.to please ask. And like the person who posted before me stated...I tend to slow the killing down some and not steamroll...gives me more of a chance to chat with them etc. -

i would actually prefer to complete the trial, but you gotta do what you gotta do, and it looks like farming is the way the people want to go. I am going to hurry up and get my mains' hybrid slots unlocked before a punitive nerf shows up.... and you can bet your bottom dollar one is on its way in double-quick time.
Moral of the story: maybe listening to a few people in Beta begging for the AV to have unstoppable Regen and a perma self-heal [or so it appears] IS NOT that hot of an idea. But what do I know....
And Tyrant is not that hard; even with the current game mechanics which limit you to 16 buffs. Maybe getting on a league that knows what they are doing will show you this.
No clue what server you play on....but there are plenty of Full Mag trials that go on and on and on and on .. on Freedom. It is not a hard trial to lead...so if you can't find one... maybe you should just lead one

Truth be told I never knew you couldn't have a 2 letter name...of course I never tried to make a toon with that short a name before hehe. -
I PVPd for about 3.5 years.. approx 1.5 before i13 and 2 after.
I used to host base raids when they were live... have done a lot of 8v8 arenas...and even ran a few super teams in zone pvp.
About 1.5 years ago I stopped.
I had a rather large reply typed out and decided... meh.. like pvp it's just not worth my time.
There is nothing wrong with pvp in this game..it can be quite fun..and I sill do it in the arena on occasion with some friends (we just take random pve toons and mess around in arena for giggles more than anything).
But there is nothing the Devs can do to make me pvp again...as the issues I have with it are not development related..and more player related.... I miss the days of good sportsmanship. -
PMd the player who suggested the name.. got his OK to use the name... so I reserved it ..and patiently (ok maybe not patiently) waiting for Water Blast so I can start playing:

I pvp'd for quite some time before and after Issue 13. Altogether I would say I actively pvp'd for about 3.5-4 years. I enjoyed the mechanics before i13 and after.
Some of my best pvp memories were actually doing base raids, 8v8 arena events, and super teams of various "not popular" ATs (storm defenders).
Not going to get into a "discussion" about why I left, but it had nothing to do with the mechanics more so the "community." I do not view i13 as cutting the nose off to spite the face unlike some (most) pvpers. The players I pvpd with on Freedom learned to adapt...and use the changes of i13. -
If you can't don't plasma for extra cash...I have heard of other guys donating something else....

The worst part of Terra Volta for me...is the frickin reactor. I mean is it realllly necessary to have the cool-downs between waves sooo long? I ran it recently when it was the Weekly and regretted it afterwards LOL. I remember having to run it back in the day and am ever so grateful for vet and freespecs.
