Well,
Just happened to be helping a friend out with some valuable stuff from one of my marketing toons on Freedom when none other than Sister Flame comes rushing past (BOY! Is she TALL!)
Turns out she just dinged 50 this evening and dad is helping her get the Alpha slot open.
Congrats Sister Flame! -

I went to the overnight showing. Like it, didn't "love" it. At least the vamps weren't "sparkly".
Saw it in 3D. Emerged with a headache. Need to stop wasting my time with 3D titles until they can do them without the stupid, eyestrain-inducing glasses.
The in-joke with India Eisley as the product of a "star-crossed love affair" was subtle, but funny nonetheless. -

Quote:Bah. I doubt that the MMO is truly "dominated" by guys. Sure, it's probably majority male. But not by as much as you'd expect. On a separate note, it's nice to know in a MMO dominated by guys that there's a good number of other girl players. Thanks for the replies!
Now I can tell my hubby, '' Hah! And you said there would be maybe 2 other female players. Cough up the month long back rubs, I won the bet! ''
Aside that, it's a nice read.
Also, as time goes by, you'll see that the population will even out more.
Take Origins and GenCon.
Early on, it was almost exclusively a sausage-fest.
Okay, there HAD to be a better way to put that, but...
About 10-12 years ago we started seeing a major up-tick in female gamers of the non-conslut and non-girlfriend variety.
Now what we're seeing? Families. Second (and third) generation gamers (who're bring the spouse and kids).
Heck, the first time I met our managing developer's wife and first-born, the kid was less than a year old and snoozed the con away in a stroller-seat.
Now he's about to graduate high school.
Cripes! Now I feel old!
THANKS LULI!

Hmm.
This is actually sufficient advanced notice that I might be able to go.
And a trip to Priceline shows the cost to be under $400 for round trip in Friday evening and out early Sunday with hotel and car.
Will have to see what my tax return looks like.
But I might actually make this one! -

Quote:No. If you're into City of Solo and doing your own thing (and seeing other soloists do crazy stuff), I'd recommend Protector. There's a decent community there and we don't require that you learn German. If you want a solo server then the german one's right for you, forget it's name but if you're on US time then you'll mostly never bump into a lot of people. Mostly I find that there's hardly enough for a group, so if you're into stories then that's the place.
Honestly, as the newest server (and one with an artificial limit on who can play there), Exalted is struggling to find its defining niche.Quote:Exalted has a high number of either new people or veterans with a stick so far up in a place that can't be reached you won't ever see it again. Not that you'd want to. -
Quote:I would like an archetype who could be both a tank and a support play style. He would have a lot of hit points (lower than the tanker, but higher than the brute), the same level of melee damage as a tanker, but instead of a defense powerset, he would have a buff powerset to help himself and his allies. His inherent power should be a debuffing power with an area effect of 30 feet affecting all ennemies in it (called radiant hope).
As for the new powerset, I would like a dual melee weapons powerset, so that I can play a character who use claw and blade, claw and axe, claw and mace, axe and blade, axe and mace, two axes or two maces. This new powerset could be use with the new archetype previously mentionned.
Build yourself a FF/*Something* defender. Cap your defenses and call it done. -
Agreed.
The NCSoft web team is going to be the weakest link here. Calling them undependable is like calling a kick "between the goalposts" uncomfortable. -
Quote:Went to the Underworld midnight showing (Non-sparkly vamps and werewolves? Best seen at night!). Saw it as one of the teasers before the show.
According to that little site by Jimmy Wales, it's Michelle.
As does the IMDB. -
I'm a lucky SOB. I live just outside of Chicago. There's multiple MicroCenters around me and a Frys and a MicroCenter within a 10 mile drive.

Sorry if that came across as gloating. But it was meant to.
MicroCenter offers online ordering. But for new CPUs, one of the most valuable offerings, they're in-store pickup only.

Agree with Suggestor.
Something quite BADLY has cored out your system. The fact that it's still running (well, Windows...hobbling and bleeding all over everything at high pressure like a cross between anime and a slasher flick) as well as it is currently, is remarkable. -
Quote:Didn't they tell you? Her belt was built by Gainax Industries. It generates a null-gravity field around her abdomen. It wouldn't exactly distract guys only.
I could never team with Mother Mayhem out of jealousy, envy, and possibly drool factor of my own.
Also, I'd be too busy scheduling chiropractor visits for her. Ouch.
That's why she's so skinny otherwise. If she eats something and it enters the field...Well...urp.
Think of it as a combination female athletic supporter and a diet plan. -

Quote:To which I say again. It's not needed. While the extra resistance is nice, it's still not going to stop whatever's killing you from killing you unless it's REALLY close to the end of the fight.I've kept it for incarnate trials where it has its uses.
But in normal gameplay, I'll probably use it when exemplaring or tanking all of Recluse's lieutenants at the same time or something, haha.
And in Incarnate content? You may as well be p***ing into the wind.
