Quote:* <-- See this? That's the point.Comparing a piece of history with a Hami'O isn't the best comparison, at all.
{Zooms out to the edge of the known universe}
And this is how badly you've missed it.
The basic point is that, due to it's almost (if not truly) unique nature, it can be viewed as collectible, and of a value that far exceeds it's that of basic utilitarian worth. -

Why's a Spider-Man #1 so valuable? Not because it's a Spider-Man comic. But because they're fairly rare nowadays. -
Okay, the other night I was doing the Crown of Glory arc for:
- No Temps
- Debuffed
- Enemies buffed
- No inspirations
So I tried the Magic Man arc instead. Just completed it with the same settings and AGAIN got no flashback badges (don't have those badges yet). Does anyone know if Sheldon's arcs aren't usable (like single mission badge arcs) for flashback badges? -

Quote:Well, interesting, having similar issues myself and haven't had any problems till now, around a month after I did some major upgrades to my computer.
the game causes my CPU usage to jump to 75%, closing the NC Launcher drops off maybe 3%. My comp has froze on me once today and the game was forced to close because it ran out of memory...
and start a thread so we can take a crack at your problem.

Well, found a place with a later 2D showing I could actually get to. Was outta my way, but I went.
The basic outline of the movie is about all there is. A basic outline.
The movie jumps from set piece scene to set piece scene with no fluidity, and cuts are horrendously jarring.
The narrative by Cage could probably have been completely done away with. There was some weak humor in there, but it was almost totally unnecessary.
A couple of the jokes were actually funny. The "flamethrower" was actually a setup for a later payout "Think of a flamethrower".
That and the Twinkie gag was funny.
Basically this film is kinda all over the place, as was Cage.
Essentially this was a $75 million bender where people sat around, got drunk, thought about what would look cool and someone jotted it down. Then, the next morning, someone took the drunken scrawl, filtered it through their hangover, and tried to film it while getting drunk again...with attitude.
It isn't "Showgirls" bad, or "Any Highlander but the first one" bad. But if it makes back it's costs, I'll be surprised. -

Honestly, I have to agree with the others.
You've already taken one pass at scrubbing this virus from your machine.
It didn't work.
As of right now, your system's completely compromised, to the point where your AV isn't able to clean it out.
You're now as the "Nuke it from orbit" phase.
If you don't want to blot that drive, just get a clean new hard drive and reinstall.
I know you don't want to. But the situation pretty much mandates it at this point. You could spend days/weeks trying to "clean" what you have and STILL fail, resulting in a reload anyhow. Even if you succeed, you still are going to have a gutted, damaged system.
Or you can just proactively reload and be done with it.
Unless you're getting lots of entertainment out of fighting with your computer, it's not worth the time investment. -
Quote:Probably because of the "destroy the world" subplot.Hm now why did they make such a change? What's wrong with using Rha's?
Sure, Ra's wants to pull down civilization, but he's not going to try to physically destroy half the planet to do it. Nor would he likely have the capital to finance such a venture even if he did. -

Someone actually took my advice!
You poor, deluded...A-HEM!
Sure! When I have time I'd love to see your base.
If you'd like to see my fairly bare-bones (but fully functional) base as well, I'd be delighted. -
How's this? Standard soft-capped to everything save Psi.
The only thing it doesn't have is Build Up and I could probably make it fit elsewhere. Probably at the expense of Hasten.
This is a more or less "finalized" build. So it's NOT intended as a template for leveling up.
If you're in your late 30's or early 40's, you could begin building for this though and be mostly feature-complete.

What do my villains want?
Why WORLD PEACE!
(Under their benevolent rule of course!)
Well, except for my brutes. They just want to beat **** up. -
Basically this is "Tower of Babel" but they swapped out Ra's al Ghul for Vandal Savage and a couple substitutions and a "destroy the world" plot.
-
Quote:This isn't even worth a facepalm.Yep. I hate that. I can't find a black and white showing of it around me anywhere either.
Just because you have some new technology doesn't mean everyone wants it.
This isn't even the dubious argument about whether or not 3D "enhances" the movie-going experience.
Put it this way. I get migraines and cluster headaches. Loads of fun, indescribably painful, requires lots of drugs and can literally keep me out of work for a couple days.
Real3D 3D can actually trigger these headaches for me, depending on how badly done it is. So I avoid 3D films for the most part.
Now go fail at trying to be clever someplace else. -
Well, I completely spaced and forgot to hit the late-late showing of the new Ghost Rider flick last night.
So I go and look up tickets in my area for the non-3D version.
Basically, unless I leave work early, there quite literally AREN'T any!
Whiskey
Tango
Foxtrot
?
So now, because people are figuring out what a ***tastic gimmick 3D is, the studios are basically going to force it on us unless we want to just take half a day off work to see it in the middle of the day or go in over a weekend? -
Quote:What "both sides"? YOU file a petition and the GMs show up go "NOBODY expects the Spammish Inquisition!" and interrogate YOU! You've already GIVEN "your side". And they have the server logs to corroborate! There's something to be said for getting both sides of the story.
If they want to approach the RMTer/douchbag/spammer/whatever, go ahead! But that isn't what's happening here. -
-
Anyhoo,
If you can get us the info and your budget, we can suggest some options for you.
While the situation isn't as rosy as you thought, we can still probably figure out something for you. -

Quote:Okay, if you're Premium at at L50, the only end game for you is task forces, and the like. Most of it doesn't seem very new in regards to the new "Systems," was more talking about any big changes as compared to before :P Especially in regards to incarnate information. My old main is already level 50, so... :P
*SNIP*
One thing I enjoyed about this game was the fact a lot of the focus WASN'T on the end game compared to other MMOs, and after having done a lot of the end game stuff in WoW and other MMOs, I'm not going to be jumping too hard at that chance just yet with CoX either.
Unless you're VIP you can't partake of Incarnate content.
Unless you purchase Going Rogue, you can't partake of alignment content.
Not a hell of a lot. My Inv/SS tank outputs fairly monstrous damage. Basically, at 50, build decently (not IO'ed and min-maxed to the gills) you should be able to do +0x8 on either a tank, brute, or scrapper, with the scrapper and brute probably trading out who finishes first from run to run.Quote:Also: Yes, it's obvious that Brutes have a slight edge on tanking, scrapper on DPS, and etc...but what does that end up practically meaning?
As to what's preferred at the top end (DPS or survivability)? You have to ask the person building the toon. Some will go with monster-DPS toons at the expense of survivability. Some will go with monster-survivable toons at the expense of damage. Some will go with different ratios of damage and survivability. And some powerset combos quite simply are better suited for maximizing both.Quote:Is a lot of content harder hitting than before at most levels of play, including the end game? Or softer but takes longer to kill? What generally ends up being "Preferred," by many people, more DPS or survivability, as far as soloing or small time grouping is concerned for these tough melee classes?
Thank you for your responses

Quote:Interesting idea. I like it, and may try one.
EDIT: I think I'll be making a slight change though: A FF/Arch/Mace defender can get themselves to 50+ S/L/E defense while Hovering at a very reasonable speed with very minimal effort.

True. I opted for a resist-based EPP to layer under all that defense. This way, if I get hit, I'm not an eggshell.
