Quote:So, using the "Zwillinger" scale of "Soon", we're probably talking what? 3025? 3050? 3075?That is something we have looked into, and are working to address. The most common causes for not receiving the newsletters are:
- The e-mail provider has blacklisted the COH newsletters. This can be for a variety of reasons such as the rate the newsletters are sent out, or issues with the header information.
- The customer never opted in. (It's surprisingly more difficult than it seems to sign up for these newsletters.)
We're working on addressing the former through a variety of methods, including an upgrade to the e-mail system, as well as contacting the appropriate providers.
We're working on the latter by setting up methods to more easily subscribe/unsubscribe to e-mail newsletters.
Neither resolution, unfortunately, is coming "soon." -
You forgot the part about spritzing him down with heavily salted vinegar at the same time.

Just gonna pass. Wasn't really thrilled with ME1 and what I saw of ME2 didn't really "do it" for me either. On top of that, the malware DRM crap? YeahNO!
-
I see it as kinda shady. But not actually a ripoff. If someone was going to buy one at the 800-900M price, they'd have gotten one of them before him. Nobody did.
I just don't see someone turning around now and deciding "I GOTSTA have me a 3 billion Inf Cyto!"
So I foresee a LOT of "Hahaha! YeahNO!" in his future. -
Okay. Pass.
Actually, I think you'll find it's only worth whatever you can actually sell it for. And if nobody buys it for what YOU feel it's worth, it's worthless, unless you plan on using it yourself.Quote:Like it or not this HO is worth over 3-4 billion if not more/whatever I say it's worth until someone else with the same HO comes and offers it for less.
I don't begrudge you your right to make a buck, and I hope you actually find a buyer who's desperate enough. I kinda don't see that happening though.Quote:Seeings as 52 Cyto's are going for over a billion - 1.5bil each and being 1000:1 in comparison to the rarity of 53's, I'm comfy. -

Yep. Threadjacking - a Protector's tradition since 2007 !

Inv.
Everyone should have an Inv tanker.
Why go with another primary and settle for S/L capping when you can go Inv and cap EVERYTHING (save psi, which is still covered by decent positional defenses)?
Built right, the only thing that's more durable than an Inv is a Stoner. And you have none of the stoner's limitations.
Moreover, you have the ability to be a fully self-contained and self-sufficient combatant that nothing less than multiple non-incarnate AVs trying VERY hard will take down. -

Not sure how much you REALLY need that Kismet unique.
Your set bonuses have you rocking something like +50% Acc out the door, on top of native 50+% Acc on most of your powers. PLUS BU and Aim!
I'd maybe look at converting it to a -KB IO and possibly doing away with Acrobatics. -
Quote:Welcome to the club. And a leap-nephew eh? Lucky for you! You only have to buy presents once every four years!I'm a first-time uncle with a brand new leap-nephew! I'd like to post pics, but since it's not my kid, I figure I'll respect my family's privacy.
Anyway, I just wanted to say it, because I think it's kinda cool.
I became an uncle to triplets on December 1st. The little boogers are HUGE already. -
Quote:So I'm working on upgrading my dinosaur, and what do I do? I buy the wrong RAM at an independently owned computer shop with a terrible return policy.Long story short, I have two brand new and unopened 1 gb sticks of DDR2 that I'd like to trade for two 1 gb sticks of PC2700, used or otherwise. If anyone here can help me out, that'd be great.
Okay, DDR2 is a type of RAM.
PC2700 is a particular speed bin of RAM.
I take it what you ACTUALLY need is 2 sticks of DDR1 333Mhz (or better) SDRAM right? -
My unvarnished opinion is to go with nVidia. Fewer overall problems and no "driver roulette".
Even the more common G.Skill RAM should be okay for you. The price difference isn't anything horrendous though.Quote:I want to make a decision on these cards.. I will either go with Corsair Vengence or the G.Skill RipsJaws Ram as bother get excellent grades from reading on the net.
Buy the hard drive last. Some price relief should be filtering into the market fairly soon, driving down your cost.Quote:I didnt see that the 1.5 TB is the same price as the 500 so I will go with that.. i will wait on that to see if the price drops a little..
I'm expecting the next-gen nVidia card to drop right around the end of tax season.Quote:I am buying the case. ram. mb and cpu first in the hopes that pricing will drop on the VC and the HD..
Wouldn't worry a lot about getting a Blu-Ray BURNER. But a Blu-Ray player that burns CD/DVD would probably be fine. Seriously, how many Blu-Ray disks do you plan on mastering?Quote:Still looking for a Blu Ray burner.. everyone I have liked is either out of stock or too much loot.
Hell, I've burned maybe, MAYBE 10 DVDs in the last year. Max. -
Exactly.
The 460, even being a generation older, is still a superior card to the 550.
Sorry.
Agreed. The Z68 is a better choice all around because it gives the user options, even if they don't use them immediately. The H67 doesn't.Quote:Then why get a K class i5 if you are just going to stick it on an H67 motherboard? The H67 doesn't allow you to tweak the multiplier beyond +4, unlike the P67 or Z68. -

INCIDENTAL misfortune (a'la the "World's Funniest Home Videos "baseball to the nards" shot", etc), can be funny. Mostly because it's unintentional, somewhat unexpected, and you have a reasonable suspicion that the person survived relatively unphased (at least once the stinging wore off and the language calmed down).

That and if you can get a camera in there, you can get a shot of their face as their case, monitor and what-not rocket towards the wall nearest the scrapyard hoist. It ought to be worth 15 minutes of fame for the stupid, stunned "Someone hit me in the back of the head with a board (a 6x6 no less)." look.

Quote:I honestly, seriously, and totally do not understand people's love of Sacha Baron Cohen. I didn't find that funny at all, and sympathize with Ryan Seacrest having to stand around in a dirty suit and get made fun of for hours (and for days after, due to people's inability to move on from bad jokes).Quote:Never understoof people's love of Sacha Baron Cohen either.
Though really, were people making fun of Ryan Seacrest?Quote:ditto, I find the man to be basically tom green with a bigger budget and a smaller comedic range.Pretty much all of this.Quote:Inane humor at another's direct expense is inane, and lacks the funny.
Never got this guy outside "Oh, some idiots think he's funny for some reason".
