Quote:So for the price, i think i may get this pc. Opinions? I was going to build one, but for really buiding one, i dont wanna spend that kind of money. Id really just like to be able to play COH on high graphics with no real issues. And the only other game i play is Bad Company 2.

For $600, it's not bad or anything.
It's an AMD/ATI machine. So you're probably going to need to fiddle with your drivers to get some semblance of stability.
If you're looking for absolute maxed Ultra Mode, look elsewhere. -
Quote:Not to mention the fact that we got some new enemy types in certain groups (like Hellion Girlfriends from Hell).Since Freedom launched we have seen the following new groups + complete upgrades of existing ones.
- Talons Of Vengeance
- Druids
- Hamidon infested NPCs [cant remember enemy group name]
- Master Midnights group
- Carnival of light/war/vengeance
- Knives of Vengeance
- Revamped Banished Pantheon
- Black Knights
- Elementals [certain different name but you know what i mean]
- Awakened
- +2/3 more coming in Night Ward which i cant remember at the moment

Quote:Essentially it's "don't do it publicly". Because it's rude and uncouth.I never got the whole "don't look a gift horse in the mouth" thing. I understand what it means... don't examine the teeth of a horse you receive for free to determine it's age, since that can be insulting to the person who gave you the free horse. Or in other words don't worry too much about assessing the worth of a gift, since a free gift is a free gift and should be valued either way. But... really, if you want to use the horse for anything, you DO need to know certain things about it. Examining the horse's teeth to determine it's age (since apparently the person who gave it to you is too much of a jerk to just TELL you) could be very important if you want the horse to race, or breed it, or whatever.
I mean, free is nice and all. But if you want to use that horse for anything, the smart thing to do is open that mouth up and take a good hard look. You'd be a fool not to!
If you want to PRIVATELY look and gripe, fine.
What's happening here is FAR from private. -

Okay, rule #1 for Invuln.
Passive resists (anything that says "Resist X", should get 3-slot Aegis treatment.
The active resists should be Reactive Armor.
NOT sure why you're slotting out Gloom for debuff (aside from the +Acc and Defense bonuses. You're soft-capped (and get even MORE so with enemies around you. The To Hit debuff doesn't help anything and gets fiercely resisted. Slot for damage.
Take a look-see at this build.
Also, the build I'm posting is ridiculously fairly End-efficient. You may want to trade out Cardiac for something more useful. Like Agility, or Spiritual.
Also, your original build, with Stealth, had one too many LOTG +Recharge IOs. You were getting no benefit from it. I swapped out for a Kismet for a bit of extra +ToHit.

Quote:Toggles on fire/rads are for those pesky enemies that don't IMMEDIATELY keel over when 8 guys running Hot Feet are standing there barbecuing for all they're worth. With a /Rad, the toggles wouldn't be used/needed much (since mobs are dying so fast)
Basically:
00:01 - First Strike
00:02 - Everyone moves into range
00:03 - "Hey! He's not dead yet!"
00:04 - *TOGGLEFEST*
00:05 - Everything is nice and satisfyingly DEAD. -
Quote:If everyone got the same thing, an XP booster, why did it have to be built up so dramatically? Kind of a waste of time. I guess it'd be nice if I weren't VIP or If I haven't bought a bunch of super packs in the past, but I have like 20 XP boosters already.
Thanks for the free one, though. -

Honestly. Personal preference.
Some people will swear by Seagate. Others by WD.
Personally, I'm a WD-boy. I've had exactly ONE drive of their fail on my in the last 30+ years. And that was a drive that did 24x7 NAS duty for nigh on 8 years.
Also, on the hybrid drives. "Limited capacity"?
Seagate's hybrids are 500GB and 750GB. Yes, the flash cache on them is much smaller. Now I wouldn't recommend it for use in your storage array. But if you're looking for a primary drive, and don't want to spend for a straight SSD, it's a nice option.
A pair of these would basically triple your total storage space.
If those are a bit too "spendy" for you, a pair of these will double your total storage space.
Honestly, I'd recommend going for the larger ones if you can afford it. You're not REALLY space-crunched yet. But backups have a way of accelerating in growth the longer you keep them. A 3GB RAID1 would probably keep you in free space longer. -

8 Fire/Rads.
AVs? What AVs? Oh! Those guys over there on the floor who basically coughed themselves to death? -
Again, most of the other games you're playing are, likely DirectX-based.
CoH is OpenGL and stresses a system differently.
It's possible (likely actually since thse are AMD/ATI cards) that you have something in your driver causing the crash. -
AFAIK, this GM isn't bugged. Just VERY elusive.

Quote:Pfft.A friend has suggested that the Mother's Day sale should have been the Controller AT, Praetorian content and the Super Tailor so all female characters could be as... impressive as Mother.
Note to self: Make Praetor Tillman a Mother's Day card so she doesn't squish my invulnerability tanker's brain.
If you want scary, Hyperstrike's mom is about as scary as they come.
The only force in the universe that could even slow her down was her own mother (herself a miniaturized entity composed of omniverse-annihilating levels of rage and fear).
I've fought gods, would-be gods, things gods fear, and stuff THOSE things fear. I've squared off against things that make strong men go pale and fill their shorts.
But square off against Mom? Pfft. No thanks!
I'd rather douse myself in lighter fluid and assault the gates of Hell with a bucket of jet fuel. THAT at least is doable.
Or maybe shield someone from a nuclear explosion by bear-hugging the bomb. Yeah. MUCH less painful and humiliating.
I never obeyed my mother because I was a good boy. I wasn't.
But I obeyed.
Why?

Quote:Depends on how much he bought.Well irrelevant of his salary, if he bought war bonds 60+ years ago, the miracle of compound interest alone would make him well off.
$1000 of E-Bonds, pulling 4% interest, compounded semi-annually, would JUST be coming to the end of their third extended maturity period in 2011. That'd work out to about $16K
Now, a Captain's pay in 1940's WW2 Army would have been around $2,600 annually. Assuming he was active for two years and put ALL of it away, that's $5200 (before taxes).
You'd be looking at it maxing out at a little over $83,000. -
Quote:http://marvel.com/universe/Thor_(Thor_Odinson)
The official Marvel Universe website describes Asgard as a "Magical Realm." It also says, "Odin had the hammer Mjolnir created for him, enchanting it with powerful magic..."
So he comes from a MAGICAL realm and has a MAGIC weapon. The Asgardians might well be considered aliens, but they're magic using aliens.
Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

Quote:I purchased a set of Hecatomb IOs from the Paragon Market a week and a half ago and put them in my global email. I was going to put them on a character once he reached level 50 but now for unforeseen reasons I won't be able to log into CoH for quite a while (longer than the 50 days left on the mail). My account is still active and being paid for (VIP) while I'm gone, but I want to know what will happen to these items once the email expires. I assume that they'll just be deleted, but will there be any way for me to recover them upon returning?
As someone has already said.
- Stuff bought in the store and claimed through the e-mail interface are *not* e-mails.
- They have no expiration date and persist in that screen until claimed. If you bought something today, and didn't log back in for 5 years, assuming the game is still going at that time, you could still claim the stuff then.
