  2. FYI, the defense in Melee's Radial branch isn't showing up on the Totals tab.
    The resist in the Core branch shows up fine though.

    Electric Armor?

    A big focus nowadays is layering defense on top of good resists, big HP and regen.

    Elec is actually decent for this. But, having no defense, they also lack defense debuff protection, tacking defense on can sometimes lead to a false sense of security.

    Plus, some of the compromises you might make in the build to get high defense can gimp you seriously if those defenses are taken away.

  5. Additionally, I can see why you added the BasGaze into KOB. But, frankly, they aren't necessary and wind up bringing your damage potential down.

    I'm not REALLY sold on Energy Torrent. Crummy damage, and the fact that you're knocking foes back from you when you REALLY want them crowding around you, cranking your regen into "You ONLY hit me for 2000 points of damage? LOL!" range.
  6. Well. There ARE some shortcuts that don't involve having to slot Brawl.

    Also, you've ignored a few +HP bonuses and some recharge bonuses in favor of max S/L. This build gets you within a small defense Inspie of softcap for Psi. Not that you're going to come across enough of it (unalloyed with anything else). It also kicks your F/C up a bit as well.

    With your current slotting, you're leaving a lot of End on the table. As you are in my rebuild. But, since this is WP, endurance isn't a huge problem for you.

    I'd suggest the Agility Alpha. It'll boost your recovery into "What's this "running out of endurance" thing you guys keep screaming about?" range, and kick your defenses up even higher. As an added bonus, it'll boost your recharge rate across the board.

    Your regen rate will come down percentage-wise, but with the extra +HP bonuses, you're actual regen rate will actually rise slightly.

    Hover won't help you with the Kismet. The power has to be active to get the ToHit bonus. Found out the hard way with my bubbler (who's still in need of a respec to fix that).
  8. Okay, one of the things about Invuln. You usually want to avoid slotting up the passive resists (Resist X) with endurance reduction as much as possible). That's usually why Aegis are better suited there. Though, in the case of something like wanting to soft-cap but maintain high recharge.

    Here's a rework that's a bit more end friendly.
    You're JUST under cap on S/L (44.9).
    Mathematically, the difference is negligible.
    In practice, you're going to spend so much time diving into groups that you'll never see your base defense.

    Okay your build needs a bit of cleanup.

    1. Active resists (Tough, Unyielding, Temp Invuln) should be the ones getting 4-slotted Reactive Armor.
    2. Passive resists (anything that says "Resist X" should be 3 Aegis. End redux is NOT a concern with them.
    3. As always with Invuln, SCREW PSI HOLE PATCHING! Your Ranged and AoE defense numbers cover you better.
    4. You have almost no need of purples. I've left one set in because it makes sense.
    5. Power choice order needs tweaking if you have ANY intent to exemp whatsoever.

    Here's a quickie rework of your build, but defense capped with only 1 enemy in range, not 10.

    It stands to reason that EVERY group simply isn't dialed-in enough on the specifics of the trial to pull out a success every run.

    Nobody said anything about how godly they or their PUG were. YOU just attempted to inject that so you can pretend to be offended and that your skills as a player were insulted.

    The original Magisterium trial, and the The Really Hard Way badge were too easy. It was really quite possible to walk right over Tyrant without even touching the light pillars. It was no more difficult than beating down one of the AVs in the other trials.

    Is it POSSIBLE that it snuck out the door with a flipped decimal place or an errantly entered number? Sure. However, there is enough success thus far to indicate that the trial is working as intended.

    The "farms" are learned behavior. UG "is" farmed, as were BAF and Lambda. Basically, the first 99% of the trial is farmable, even with lowbie Incarnates. You just drop before the final AV/GM.

    Now, the DEVS didn't teach people how to farm these. They learned all on their own.

    And, like other trials, in a couple weeks, a bit of planning and people who'll actually LISTEN to directions it'll be old hat to go up and shake hands with Tyrant's face.
