Just unlocked my Hybrid last night on my Inv/SS tank and dropped in a T4 Melee Core (got some lucky drops).

In a crowd of 10? Incarnate-capped defense, capped S/L resist, and most of my other resists in the 60's while rocking 600+% regen?

    OH HELL YEAH!

    Base Transfer

Probably a player asking for it.

Because bases are a shared resource.

AFAIK, at least in the last 4 years they haven't said any such thing.
In fact, I think they've gone out of their way to say "no" to it.

You forgot the last two phases.

    Maybe, maybe not.

    Why were humans created?

And was such a nasty weapon REALLY necessary to wipe *us* out? Or was it intended for a broader range of targets?

This made no sense to me until I read the Wikipedia entry on the writing of the film. In a nutshell, blame Damon Lindelof:

So instead of having the familiar Alien life cycle we get a hodge-podge of different weird parasites that might:
    1. Just kill you outright
    2. Infect you with a degenerative disease that will also cause your sperm to create parasitic babies (which eventually mutate into Kraken-sized facehuggers)
    3. Turn you into an enraged super-strong killing machine

It sounds like Lindelof liked the idea of body horror parasites, but didn't want to rely on what had gone before. I can understand that, but he went too far in the other direction. The black goo seems to do whatever the story demands, instead of having set rules.
Actually, you could see what was in Prometheus as very early, nascent stages of the xenomorph bioweapon. Once it evolved into the more familiar facehugger, chest burster, acid-blooded xenomorph phase, it didn't really need to go back.

Kinda like how, once the Engineers had humans, they could reproduce in a naturalistic way, rather than needing to constantly be "made" by their creators.

Going to see it now. Putting hand over monitor to block spoilers.
  8. Had two more successes tonight. The second one was just plain old ***-kickery.
The first one, neither the team captain nor I are totally sure just WHY we won it. We were having massive troubles bringing Tyrant's damage down and keeping it down.

Then, all of the sudden we just whacked him from 31 down to threshold. Damndest thing I ever saw. No friggin clue what happened.

Actually, Unstoppable is almost completely obviated by the Melee Hybrid nowadays and completely unnecessary in normal content.

    Here's a high-recharge build I was playing with for Inv/SS.

Let me know what you think.

We also had someone that was +0 getting pissed off the league wanted people at least +2. I find it hard to imagine you have Lore and Destiny unlocked but aren't +1 yet?

I think someone needs to play the game and stop trying to PL Incarnate content. Its not like its all that hard or takes all that long to get T3 powers I don't play much but I have T3 on my incarnate characters that I've put any effort (1 week a few hours a night) into.
While it's annoying as hell, I couldn't be too pissed about it.
I picked up a Rare on a Keyes earlier, and picked up two VRs on two of the runs for Magi. So I'm sitting at 89% Hybrid XP and have a T4 Melee Core waiting to slot in. I was also able to T4 my Barrier Destiny with my Clarion and Rebirth both still at T3.

With a couple more good runs, I'll probably craft up an Assault for soloing. Since doublehit on an Inv/SS tank should be fricking awesome.
  13. No offense, but the way you've got your AoEs slotted up...well...sucks.

You've got great Acc, decent EndRedux and Recharge, but your damage enhancement...33%? Weekly Task Force man? Weekly Task Force?

You're setting them up as Proc havens.
For click-attacks, that's basically assuming that they're not going to fire off most of the time.
And, once in a blue moon, they'll be cool and do a little bit of extra damage.
You'll see better, more consistent damage output in the long run by slotting these two powers up properly for attribute enhancement. Right now it's like trying to chip rocks with a sewing needle in the hopes that you'll mostly hit lots of faults in the rock and break out more.

    Addendum:
I know you're going for set bonuses and all. But your use of -KB IOs is somewhat nonsensical on a tank.
You'll get better mileage out of a Winter's Gift Slow Resist in SJ.

Using Stealth as additional defense is somewhat terrible. First off, the defense granted is HALVED the minute you attack.

Here's a slightly different option with better unstealthed defense, better regeneration (both percentage-wise and overall HP/Sec-wise), better Resistance numbers, and better Recovery and EndUse numbers.

  14. Old age and treachery will beat youth and enthusiasm every time.
  15. Run #4 was a bust last night.
We had a bunch of people who hadn't run it before. So we were slow popping wells.
I wound up in the lead by default, and I simply don't have the stuff to lead raids.
Worse, we had several people bail after the first phase, leaving us to fight a Tyrant set for 24.

Even so, we'd gotten him down to 19% at lowest ebb.

  17. First run on Monday night. A failure. Mainly because it was an inexperienced PUG with wrong notions about how the trial worked.

Had three (so far, gearing up for #4 now) tonight and all three were unqualified successes.

In the super-high-performance category, the 670 is the best bang for the buck right now.

Your 970 should run it just fine.

    You really think so?

Maybe agreed. They could do that or set aside a window for testing the gate after which they basically bypass the gate. Sure, some (most?) people will just wait for the bypass, but some impatient ones will join the folks who actually want to test the gate content.

Honestly, for new powers like this, they need testing to avoid fustercluck situations like this. It's more important than making sure everyone runs through a mandatory piece of content just so that they know how "hard" it is. If you seldom or never run that content, no biggie. An occasional break of that content does little to or for you. But a power that's broken and misbehaving can affect you full-time.

    It's all kinds of broke.
This is part of why participating in Beta can be so damn irritating at times.

They put in a new feature that requires specific content to unlock with no alternate paths (like the Astral/Emp vendors). As such, screwy behavior like this gets missed. Simply because you can't find enough people to do the content enough to unlock you.

In the future, they need to put in unlock methods immediately and worry about gating it LATER.
