    Radiation Armor

Honestly, with the basic knowledge about what the set is looking like so far, Rad Armor should be very interesting to play. It's leveraging a couple of newer/unique mechanics to make it similar to some pre-existing sets, but with enough differentiation that it can carve out its own specialty niche.

A combo mini-nuke/self-rez power in lieu of a damage aura?
A power that alternately buffs regen or recovery based on need?
A set that'll probably have top-tier toxic resists?
    Leveraging of the Heal/Absorb mechanic?

Then remembering that you can slather a buttload of defense all over the top of that?

    YES! PLEASE!
  2. Check your SG setting and make sure they're not overriding your chosen settings.

Do you intend to spend most of your time at 50? Or are you planning to exemp a lot?

If Exemp, maybe look at L30-32 enhancements.

Will it only work with the nvidia 3d kit? I have this TV at work on sale I'm thinking about getting, it's passive(current movietheater-style glasses i'm told), and I'd love to be able to get 3d out of my PC besides my PS3 .

I might end up buying it either way, but I thought I'd come to the only place I know for pc advice for that guidance first.
I hate to keep using the word "gimmick" but the stereoscopic 3D used in games is pretty much just that.

In most instances, the game itself has to support the 3D technology or you're still playing 2D.
  5. And here's a second stage.
One small power choice difference (since 1-2 slotted Tactics is fairly useless).

And perma Chrono Shift without purples.

  6. Here's a first-stage rebuild (same powers and everything with some IO and slotting rework).

You're not perma chrono-shift yet with this build. But closing in on it.

Simply share the C drive itself
  8. Having problems with clown-shoes trialers on Freedom right now and the overabundance of Mag farms.

    I can probably make this.
  9. Pfft. If you're not going to transfer using a portable hard drive, thumb drive, etc, and you have both machines on the same network, you can just copy stuff over the network.

    On your old machine:
    Navigate to the CoH folder.
Right-click on it and select Properties:

    Navigate to the Sharing tab.
You may need to enable File Sharing.
    You'll see a link for share files/folders.
Click on it and when it warns you, just OK it.
You should then get a screen like this:

Check both the check boxes and click OK or APPLY.

You may get a screen like this:

    Just say OK to it.

Once shared out, you'll see that the icon for the folder has changed.

Now, just because it's shared doesn't mean you can get at it.
If you have a software firewall, other than the Windows Firewall running, you may need to add a rule or, if just for short term, disable it.

Can't show you how to do that because there's dozens of versions of dozens of programs out there and they're ALL FRICKING DIFFERENT!

Once you have that though we need to get some info from this machine:
Click on the Start button and right-click on My Computer (or if you have a My Computer icon on the desktop, right-click it there).
    Select Properties

This brings you to the system properties screen.

Click on the Computer Name tab.

What you're looking for is "Full Computer Name"
    Write it down.

Now, in some cases, the NETBIOS name (which is what the computer name actually is) doesn't work for navigating networks. Sometimes it's a security thing, sometimes the network isn't set up right, etc etc.

So we're going to go after something that pretty much HAS to work.
    The IP address.

Click on the start button and click on Run.
When the Run screen comes up, type in CMD.
(Alternately, Start --> All Programs --> Accessories --> Command Prompt)

When the command prompt comes up type in IPCONFIG
Then hit the ENTER key on your keyboard.

You should get an output something like this.
The thing you're concerned with is the IP Address line.
    Copy that value down too.

Now head over to your computer and open up a file browser.
In the address line, type in \\THENAMEOFTHEOTHERCOMPUTER
Then hit the Enter key on the keyboard.

If that doesn't work, erase what's in the address line and try \\THEIPOFTHEOTHERCOMPUTER

Once you see the City of Heroes share, browse into it.
    Highlight everything inside there.
    Right-click and select COPY
Browse back to your local system (C:\ or whatever).
Create a folder called "City of Heroes" as a place to store the files.
Browse into that folder, right-click and say PASTE.

Go get yourself a soda. Depending on your local network speed, it may take a few minutes or an hour or more.
  10. Just ran Belladonna Vetrano in my Fire/Rads group.
Maybe we shouldn't have gone +4x8 with only three of us. Chimera was absolutely off the hook...

Still, his "final technique" had a lot of "cough cough" in it. So I think I recognized it as "Help! I'm being attacked by a group of Fire/Rads!"

Well someone always has to be the weakling bystander who just cowers behind something and gawps as awesome ensues.

No, it means "somewhat" as in "partial" or "fractional".

    Semi-automatic. Partially automatic.
    Semi-dettached. Partially dettached.
    Semi-sophisticated. Partially sophisticated.

Semi-daily doesn't mean every other day or every few days. It means every few parts of a single day.

But hey. Don't take my word for it.
Take it to any high school english teacher and watch him agree with me.

While english usage is somewhat "loose", it's not "use any word whatsoever and it's okay".

Sorry this small correction (which was intended to be humorous in the beginning) has dragged your thread so far off-topic.

So now you're trying to win my argument for me? Thanks.

Have fun everybody and as always 'best of luck all'
    Worse than that.

You have to unlock all five of the preceeding slots before you can run Magi at all.
  19. Not to be a buzzkill. But what makes this set "cosmic" (outside of an RP context) that can't be satisfied (in the same RP context) by Radiation, Energy, etc?
  20. As they've said, your defenses SHOULD be more than high enough.

Let PA do most of your fighting.
    Something attacks you? Confuse it.
Multiple somethings attack you? Flash the group.

At any rate, thanks for your interest in Justice iTrials!
    Bi: Two (Biannual)

    Semi: Half (Semi-annual.)

    =)

Who knows. I have a 50 on almost every server. I may stop by. =)
  22. Might be "bi-nightly". Semi indicates you're running them every part of an evening.

As I was part of the group who was in Beta and going after the Magi trial, this isn't what happened and I wish people would stop regurgitating this stuff as if it were actual fact.

Tyrant's regen and debuff resists were strengthened BY THE DEVS after it was shown that teams could simply whack him down and ignore the wells. After being told it was "numerically impossible".

    Actually I will.
