Well, went back through my screenshots for the Protector event.
Conclusion, when I'm scrank-locked, I get CRAP for screenshots.
My screenies for the Test event went somewhat better.
You can check them out here.
Here's a few samples. Images are hyperlinked to full size versions.

I call this one "Don't drink and drive."

No.
I had one "+1.5GB limit" crash of the game client. And once when I was getting close, I re-logged to avoid crashing (sorry, reloadgfx just don't cut it).
I died twice. Once jumping 10+ Jack in Irons' and finding out that the mob of other players had jumped ANOTHER group of GMs...elsewhere. Then another time where I'd jumped on a group of Eochais with a group that was just a little too small to support me.
I'm good. But I'm not "take on 10 GMs and minions for 10 minutes, almost solo" good. The Lucky Shot rule kicks my butt eventually. -
Quote:Ooh. Suckitude.Wish I could have participated, but the power went out *seconds* before I got home from work.
ROTFLMAOPMP!Quote:I know this because my husband ran up to me as I opened the door and was screaming "NOOOOO!".
Sorry. Not laugh at you or him. Just the mental image of this is hilarious. -
What is it about using a cannon to kill a mosquito?
Simply because you can mass-convert all "local" matter into energy to a distance of several light-years doesn't mean it's a good thing to do. ESPECIALLY in inhabited regions of space.
Simply because you can unleash blasts that can render planets down to fine powder doesn't mean you go postal during a superbrawl.
Heroes usually frown upon annihilating those you're supposed to protect.
And villains want to RULE the world. Not destroy it. Or if they want to destroy it, they want to do it in an emotionally satisfactory manner. Not *POOF! DEAD!* and start in on the post-KABLOOIE doldrums.
Essentially, "cosmic-level" characters are at a level where they could, with a bit of effort, destroy things at a speed and scale exceeding even the most destructive things in the universe (giant supernovas, galactic-core black holes, etc).
If all you want to do is render a thug (even a super-powered one) unconscious, opening up with that amount of power is a bit...excessive.
And, as others have said. RP'ing a character like this is...boring.
You have all this power and you don't use it.
SNORE. -

These files were pulled from the hamidon.com links above and scanned against Symantec (not Norton), McAfee, AVG, Kaspersky and Avast. As far as these AV packages are concerned, they're clean.

I've extended Beefcake the offer of an account that he himself can host the files from so he can control versioning. -
Yeah, I pulled in something like 420 merits (at 558 now).
The ebil marketer is screaming "random rolls"!
But the greedy "WANT NAO" is thinking about finally adding those LOTG + Rech to Hyper's build.
And almost forgot to strip 10 purples off his main build tonight to get rid of my old respec. -
All in all, with the fuster-clucks on the other servers last night I was right worried.
Tray lag never really got too bad. Usually it was click+5-10 seconds. Last night on Virtue, it was click+2 minutes.
Will have pics up tomorrow. -
Hmm. Wonder if they're running in images on test to make sure that the upgrade goes smoothly before tomorrow.

Quote:Bah. NES mode.2600 mode would have been great - a big green box would work better for explaining why I couldn't stand close enough to Ghost Widow to hit her.
Graphically it wasn't bad, but I wonder if a better card would have upped my attack speed to two per minute.
"I'm sorry! Ms. Liberty is in another city!" -

Quote:/thisI feel bad for the Dev that gets Protector. I mean think of if. This is the home of Badge. Giant Monster spawning is what we are best at. It's going to take a lot of work to impress us.

Hyperstrike: Oh look! A hundred giant monsters...
Citizens: AHHHHHH!
Badge: Wake me when they tack a couple zeroes onto the end of that... -
Quote:Depends on what you were fighting.I peeked in on Virtue yesterday, the lag sucked. But that's Virtue. Hopefully the lag will not be so bad here. From what I saw, the monsters are dropping Insps and Inf. I got no badges or merits. I did not get to drop a Hero. We had a full zone and it was taking longer to get a power to activate than I could stand.
My Ill/Cold on Virtue picked up about 50 merits or so on GMs (Winter Lord, Jack, Eochai).
Everything BUT the Kronos...
Then again, given how many of those suckers we destroyed last year, Malta's balance sheet is so far into the red that Gyrfalcon has had to cut back on retribution projects for fallen operatives. -
Quote:Thing is, new long-term vets are supposedly getting more market slots. The game isn't over until you have every market slot taken up with a 2 billion placeholder bid. After Issue 17, it's not over until you have every market slot taken up with a 2 billion placeholder bid and all 20 of your emails with 2 billion inf attachments.
At that point you become an honorary Smurphy and must post a picture of your character wearing a pink bunny suit.
I'd classify "obscenely rich" as someone who could fill all market slots and e-mail slots on a single server with 2 billion bids and still have 2 billion on-hand per-toon on that server to be obscenely rich.
In other words 36x*whatever. -
Quote:It'll be available in Ouro from what I understand. The most powerful team made of "normal" toons I've ever been on.
I loved how we casually killed Babbage, just the five of us, because it was right next to our mission.
Next week we should do Posi before it goes away. I'll bring my ghosting shoes...or...
1. Since the old Posi is going away, should I actually experience it w/o ghosting?
2. And is it really going away, if it's going to be in Ouro flashbacks, then it's not such a big deal...
And we've run it before. No ghosting. Took us a little over 2 hours just doing "kill everything in front of us".
You saw how fast we went last night. Throw a full team at a Posi and it gets positively ridiculous.

Monday, April 25th.
Synapse Taskforce
Success

The image above hyperlinks to the picture gallery.
I'd like to thank:
- Zero Decay
- Scorched Remains
- Kaylee Foxtrot
- Greased Wheels
- Hell Diation
Reports from the machine shop expect the Clockwork King to make a full recovery (once they get every part of him unwelded from every other part).

We had a few disconnect problems, but finished in good order in 2:12. No ghosting save for the final mission, plus the time to fight Babbage.
Of the six who started only Hell wasn't able to complete. He crashed out during the first mission and never came back. -

Just letting people know, barring disaster, this is still on for this evening.

Quote:DOH!If you are badge hunting (and not just going after the Born in Battle accolade), you still need 100 for the Spectral badge.
Open mouth? CHECK!
Insert foot? CHECK!
Push till buttock is tasted? OW! CHECK!
I stand (on one leg apparently, and quite hunched over) corrected. -
