Quote:I mean, I am very disappointed in it not changing or looked at in i18/GR release.
C'mon, it's obvious the absolute need of improving...something, the set is absolutely subpar either looking at doms or trollers alternative powersets.
Well, before the pet, Grav can sometimes be tough to play if you don't pick and slot well. I felt the crunch a few times and wished it could be buffed.
After singy, it's as if your efficiency has been doubled or tripled.
Now, I took a Grav/Kin. Two late-blooming sets. So it's not strange that early levels were hell for me. However, he's now a complete lockdown machine. -
Just don't forget that ToHit debuffs can be resisted. Defense can't.
-
Had this happen to me a while back on one of my masterminds. Bugged it, and it was never reverted. Probably too much of a pain in the butt to revert.

Man, and here I thought I'd snuck it past people.
Still deciding whether I like Meatside-Hyperstrike better at level 37 than level 36. -
Hit the Microsoft website and download the 64-bit version of the .NET framework. Betting the installer is just pulling a static copy of the 32-bit version from Microsoft.

No. Something is screwed up.
Can't log into anything on Protector. Red or blue. The entire server's a black hole for me. -
Quote:Technically Misty's Diana Tregarde character shows up in the arc she wrote for AE.Best-selling Authors Troy Hickman and Mercedes Lackey both play CoH, and AFAIK, neither one uses any of their characters from their work as characters in the game.
However, she's not going to be writing any more Diana Tregarde novels (due to really bad-weird fanboi reactions to the series). -
Quote:Cool thing about agreements like that: Companies write all sorts of crazy stuff in them. I have never in a million years heard of them winning a case based on such stuff. Can anyone point to a single case of a company using such an agreement to successfully claim ownership of a character previously owned by someone else?
So far as I know, that language is pretty generic, used by multiple companies, and basically comes down to "and this way the players can't sue us for having their characters visible when they log in". I've never heard of it being successfully used to claim copyright. I could buy the non-exclusive license, although again, I doubt a court would go anywhere far with it.
Basically, if Bob Kane were to log in and create Batman, I don't think ncsoft would find that they had any special ownership or any rights to display the character apart from letting him play. If you have actual evidence to the contrary, I'd love to see it, but the utter nonsense that people stick in EULAs is not generally something the courts have been very supportive of.
I do notice also that they consistently refer to third-party copyrights when they talk about what's banned, so it looks like they are aware of the difference.
Disclaimer: I'm a published writer, I used to take people to court recreationally. My views may not reflect those of other people.
In any event, I do think we'll probably avoid making any characters borrowed from existing writing too obvious, just to save GM hassle.
The thing is, lawsuits are expensive.
Do you REALLY want to have to sue a multi-million dollar company like NCSoft just because you decided to recreate your IP within the context of theirs and, by their contractual language, giving them, at the very least, a license to use your IP as they see fit?
And worse, do you want to actually have to pay some landshark butt-**** hourly fees to prosecute it? And, likely, you'll lose anyhow because you violated their TOS? -
If you're on Windows 7, try right-clicking on the link and do "run as administrator" and see if that helps.

Quote:Forum rules (and filters) prohibit me from telling you EXACTLY what I think about synthetic benchmarks for gaming.Ok, I uninstalled it then ran that one driver cleaner program. I only got around 2000 points above where I was with the 8800 gts in 3Dmark 2006, but I got around triple what I was getting in Passmark for the graphics test. I noticed a big difference when playing Global Agenda.
I think I might be more bottlenecked now with my processor.
Suffice it to say that my opinion of them is low enough that they'd have to swim through several miles of cesspool before even coming within sight of "pathetically bad".
What you're concerned about is GAME performance. So make the judgements by benchmarking how the car performs in the games you play.
Only social deviants of the lowest caliber "play" benchmarks. Both that and another activity of the same sort are said to cause blindness, grow hair on your palms and make you stupid (well, if you're "playing" benchmarks, stupid-ER). -
Dude! Please let me know when you're going to joke like this! I darned near spit perfectly good root beer all over my monitor!

Quote:Hyperstrike, I totally don't understand what your table is trying to say.

I'm totally saying that it's probably not worth it to burn Alignment Merits for purples unless you just CAN'T score the one you want.
PVP IO's are a different animal altogether. I envison some of the "I hatez the market and marketeers must die!" people burning tons of time building up alignment merits for PVP IO purchases. But it won't really affect the prices of the PVP IO's at WW, BM or on the grey market.
People who don't want to burn the time and effort necessary to pick up AMs will pay the "Buy It NAO!" tax either on or off the market. -
Okay big turnout tonight.
Including one Mod08! Now let's play "Where's Waldo!"

I paid BIG MONEY to transfer my Ice/Ice tanker from Protector. Hope he finds a good home on Justice.
Anyhoo, picked up a spiffy gold title.

I got picked up for a Citadel. We tore through it like nothing. An Ice patch and a couple shield charges just WRECK enemies.

Went in at level 25. Came out just shy of level 27. Thwapped a few enemies in Croatoa and 2 levels out for the night.
Not bad. -
Quote:If you're trying to do the internal auto-update in the Mids program, just stop. With the handoff of Mids' program to the guys at Titan, the functionality of the internal updater has been deprecated.Does anyone know if a updated working version exists?? I keep trying to DL it from Titan Network but each time reguardless of the fixes it just errors like crazy when im installing it.
Head to the Titan network and download the new installer and install it that way.
If you're on Windows Vista or Windows 7, right-click the installer and select "Run as Administrator". -

Quote:Right. People who want it but "hate the market" can burn lots of time to get it themselves. Granted, they're burning over half a billion inf for Purples and nearly a billion. It would take so much time and effort to 'buy' an over-cap recipe with the new currency I don't see it affecting the price much if at all.
Figure it this way, regular reward merits have been, tentatively, valued at 250K each.

Now, back while the ultra-rares were 700M to 1B, yeah, this was a deal. Assuming your time was worth nothing.
Now that purples are down around 100-300M? Not so economical unless the one you want just isn't available.
For PVP IOs, yeah, this can still be a bargain. -
And NOW I find out free server transfers are coming back...GRRR.

And my testing Elec/Elect controller who side-switched (THE WICKED LITTLE HARLOT!)

Underground is always impressive...

Though you occasionally see some STRANGE **** on the street.

The sonic barriers.

This earned me a hella elbow to the ribs and 30 days in the lockup from Domi...err...Praetor Duncan...

Ugh! Strains of Tal Bachman! Someone shoot me!

And the seamy underside of Praetoria...err...wait...
