  1. Okay, there MAY be issues with Fire/Rads tonight.

    Namely GOING ROGUE.

Right now, at 4 PM, server loads look like THIS:

Both Virtue and Freedom are PEGGED at the moment with queues building.

We'll see what it looks like this evening....

    holy monkeynuts!

The queue system has been around a while now.

Hope this image burns it's way into the collective memory when people start asking for server merges again.

The duece you say! You have free character transfers for the next week here!

Take one of your less-played alts and move them off to another server.
  5. One problem you're going to run into on high-pop servers.

Notice the LOVELY red dots (all three of them)?

When logging in, you get a nice queue message telling you that you are number X of a queue of Y people who're waiting to log into the server.

So, essentially, on the first day something really flipping cool drops in the game YOU CANNOT LOG INTO YOUR SERVER OF CHOICE. Why? BECAUSE IT IS FULL.
  6. One more thing.

Try logging in today. You just got a resistance debuff as part of your primary attack. That should increase your damage output slightly.

  8. I have two predictions.

    1. I will make lots of inf on the market.
    2. I will spend lots of inf on the market.

Okay, you're on an Invuln tank. You have Unyielding. WHY IN THE HECK ARE YOU TAKING ACROBATICS?

I've already set the ground work for Health/Stamina and Tough/Weave but I really can't kill a darn thing right now. Is this just growing pains? Will it all work out in the end? Using half of your endurance pool to kill an even level Minion is beyond depressing, its downright demoralizing.
The mid to late teens are a painful time for just about everyone. Especially solo.

Are you still missing a lot? At 15, even with DOs, your Acc is usually atrocious. Maybe consider doubling up on Acc DOs (giving you an SO's worth of Acc). This will cut down on you missing and wasting end.

Also, Brawl is your friend! Yeah, it does jack for damage. But it costs ZERO END, and acts as a spacer for your more damage-heavy attacks. Stick an Acc in there and call it done.

Your first big boost comes at 20 with Stamina. Three-slotting it out quickly makes a big difference in your combat longevity.

Your second big boost comes with SOs. They provide a MASSIVE boost to your acc, damage output and (if slotted for) end reduction.

I've read that most people exclude Haymaker due to is end cost and recharge but I really need a dmg dealing ability if I'm going to maintain my sanity.
Read Call_Me_Awesome's guide to the first 20 levels. (See his sig above.)

Looking back over your build, don't waste slots on EndRes in your defense/resist toggles. The paltry amount of endurance (granted, over time it adds up) saved from these toggles would be better spent slotted in attacks.

Also, Dull Pain is just overslotted for your level. Decide on either a fast-recharging small heal or a slow recharging big heal. Don't try to do both right now. This frees up two more slots that can go into attacks.

Don't waste time with EndRed in Combat Jumping. Just drop defenses in there and be done with it. It'll provide a LITTLE defense (not much, but better than nothing).

If you were to respec right now, I'd keep TempInvuln and Unyielding at two Resist slots, and go with Dull Pain on three recharges.

I'd then take the two slots from TI and Unyield and put them in Jab and Punch as extra Acc.

I'd take the two slots recovered from DP and put them into Boxing. Go two Acc, one Damage. Your general toughness for resisting damage will be identical. Your damage output should rise significantly since you'll be missing (and wasting End) a lot less.

Once you hit SOs, you can convert that second Acc to a third Damage. Or, if you REALLY hate missing, just keep it there.

The Beta version of the new CoP is not horrendously difficult in and of itself.

HOWEVER, it DOES require some modicum of corridination.

You have to bring all the obelisks down simultaneously or it's a no-go. For a new team, that's the toughest part.

Step three: select the moniter, right click and uninstall it. Reboot the computer.

Step four: install the new driver and verify it by going back to step two.

Actually, you select the Display Adapter.

TeamSpam's site also has the Inner Sphere Cartography Society attached to it.

You can pull down PDFs of the whole Inner Sphere (and Clanspace).

The last BattleTech boxed set came with a very nice IS map by one of the ISCS contributors as well.

As far as fantasy planets go, like Athas (Dark Sun), or Toril (Forgotten Realms), the planet is named, but its' star usually isn't, so it makes it impossible to determine where it is in our galaxy. (Or any other) (There are exceptions though. The Blue Lantern planet Odym orbits the star Polaris, so that determines that the planet is located in the Milky Way.) Or perhaps the star IS named, but isn't named after one that was discovered in real life. (So I suppose the reader can determine what galaxy, if they even think that big)

So......is there any list out there that can somewhat answer my question?
Are we talking just comic book? Or various other media? Movies? Games (not just computer)? What?

The BattleTech community has a reference of several thousand planets. You can look them up here: http://isatlas.teamspam.net/
  15. Okay, CoH Helper is not incompatible with Win7 x64. The guide to asking for help on the forums (the one in my sig) was created on a Win7 x64 of the same build number as your machine.

This kinda points to a problem with the machine. Are you overclocking?
Did you install by doing "run as administrator"?
Have you tried running it through "run as administrator"?

Also, the current version of the Catalyst drivers are 10.7, you're on 10.3.

Lusca is actually more of a zone event. It almost requires more than a single team.

Adamaster, Jurassik, and Babbage are all rarely hunted beause they're in hazard zones with very little to do in there besides hit mission doors (assigned from out-of-zone contacts) and the GMs themselves.

Maybe if there was more to do in the, on a regular basis, than merely street-hunt, we'd see more people slapping down these out-of-the-way GMs.

Have to hit work. May ad more to this later.

    Thanks for any help.

Unfortunately no. However, it's probably better to do it now than later. Once you log in the first time, it'll pre-download 99% of the stuff for the GR release. This way, when it hits next week, you download just a couple config files and you're at GR.
  18. I'm taking advantage of this to free up a couple more slots on Protector. Moved a spare Ice tank off to another server for Tanker Tuesdays. Have a few more I'm going to farm out.
  19. Okay, respec'ed my toon, Domina specifically for the raid. And it turned out QUITE well. Only cost me about 70 mil.

Hopefully my targeting wasn't to horrific.

All in all a fairly smooth raid. The power-through on the last bloom was ****ING AWESOME!

Thanks to Kid and Major T for the great run! Hopefully, sometime soon, we'll be able to try for an evacless.

(returning after not playing for a cupple of years)

    thanks. simon.

Actually you're not running DirectX11 on there. The SIS Mirage3 is a DX9 part. It's not really geared towards gaming.

Additionally, CoH is an OpenGL game. And while the chipset supposedly supports OGL 1.5, AFAIK, CoH is using pieces and parts of various iterations of OGL2 and OGL3.

Try hitting sis.com and see if you can grab the latest graphics driver. It might help. Otherwise, you may just be on a car that simply isn't capable of running the game. If so, I'm sorry.
  25. Okay, your total memory may be 3.5GB of utilization, but actually look at the Processes screen on your Task Manager.

Usually CoH goes unstable sometime after it surpasses 1.5 GB of memory use for the CityOfHeroes.exe process.

Check to see if that's what the issue is.

Additionally, you may want to try mapping a macro button for:

    /unloadgfx

This can sometimes assist when your CoH is being badly behaved with memory.

Also, you have an Intel mobile graphics chip on your laptop.
Note, this is NOT an ideal solution.

    HOWEVER!

Your graphics drivers are approximately two years out of date.

Current version for you is 8.15.10.2182 (15.17.9.64.2182)

You can download the drivers from Intel HERE.

Make sure you download the 64-bit versions, as you're running the 64-bit Windows Vista. This may help aleviate some of your crash issues.

I'd also hit the Gateway site to see if they have updated driver versions for other things on your system.
