Quote:Is that? Could it be? ELVIS?Ahem. One Easter Egg I've found, well at least I consider it such, is the very early "preview" of a character you'll meet (probably to your regret) much later.

From a bigger picture here. At one point you could target him, although obviously you couldn't do anything. -
Pretty much what Mandu said.
Take special care to blow out the fins on your heatsink as well. There may be a lot of crud in there (see INSULATION).
If you're familiar enough with putting computers together, and your heatsink setup permits it, you may want to look at replacing the heatsink pad/paste as well. Over time, the pads and paste dry out. So they don't transfer heat as well. Again, ONLY if you're comfortable doing something like this. -
Quote:That would explain! thanks! I was told the IO still works when examplared so I thought I was still near cap.
Do I still get the base def % of IO or do I lose those as well?
thanks
If you want to monitor your defense values at all times:
- Click on the Powers tab on your tray.
- Click on Combat Attributes.
- Open up the Defense section.
- Right-click on the Defense type/position you want and select "Monitor *INSERT NAME HERE* Defense"
Like in this image. Right next to my HP bar. Click for full-size (1920x1080).

Evacless (my first).
23 minutes 33 seconds.
That works out to 135 merits an hour (2.25 merits a minute)?
Yeah. I can live with that.
Great job everyone who showed. Hami spawned early, so EoEs were REALLY scarce. But we pulled it off anyhow. -
Quote:Thanks for your opinion. Howsabout "no".Dude. Just turn the damn powers back on afterwards. It is not that hard. Don't be lazy.
As I've said, most of the time I do. However, I have several toons that are low/no FX. So sometimes it's QUITE easy to overlook that my powers have been shut off.
Were I rocking aura, or running visually flashy shields, I could see. -
You really need to give some thought to tweaking the build a bit. Mainly the order of your power choices.
Right now, at 43, your defense falls off a cliff and dies when you lose Tough Hide.
Now if you're planning to never leave Recluse's Victory, or only fight other 50's, so be it. Your damage isn't going to be anything special, but still. -
Actually no. The tailors really need to have it not suppressed. I've come out of tailor sessions with various costume items shifted, color-changed, etc (and it wasn't my SG options) and you don't want to be halfway across the zone before you realize that you have your phasers set for "brain bleach".

Quote:Inv/SS. Low FX on the Inv. So WHAT auras, shields, pets?I'm sure your annoyance level is nowhere near what it is for everyone around you and others like you that feel like they need all their auras, shields, auto firing hasten, and pets all out while they market.
I can sympathize with you over the people who don't turn off visually flashy powers in the market. It's aggravating to me too.
But I ask again. Why not actual SUPPRESSION instead of switching them OFF? -
Quote:Hey, I turn off most visually flash powers when entering a market. Things like defensive toggles shutting down on an Inv tank with low-FX power customization is damnably annoying because there really aren't any visual cues to tell you they're off. And since the Praetorian power tray is just a mass of gray anyhow...Well the rest of us were getting annoyed at the spines, stormies, dark tanks, sonics and other noisy and flashy power users making us not able to concentrate and lagging everything up so we make mistakes
It's my party.Quote:so SUCK IT UP. -
My response.
"WHAT A *********!"
Too bad Starphoenix beat me to my own Infinite Double Facepalm image... -
Okay one thing to be aware of. Foot Stomp is incompatible with Fly.
So if you're hovering of flying, you won't be able to fire off Foot Stomp.
For this reason, you may want to consider going Combat Jumping/SuperJump instead and rely on jetpacks for flight. -
Okay, is there some way to implement power suppression so that it's actually JUST suppressing powers NOT SWITCHING THEM OFF?
Sorry! I'm getting mightily annoyed at hitting the trading house (or another suppression site) then coming out and having to waste time turning all my toggles back on again. -

Okay, if you're really not looking to build for yourself, take a look at the Dell Inspiron 580 desktop. Go with the middle-choice. The i5 desktop, not the i3.
$650 with a 2.66Ghz processor, 4GB RAM, 750GB HD, and a Radeon 5450.
Yeah, the video card's nothing special. But that's upgradeable.
Literally, just take the base model and you're done. Then save a few bucks and buy yourself a nicer vidcard down the road. -

Quote:If it was simply a question of RAM and vid cards, turning the settings ti minimal should at least make a difference, not none at all.
I should emphasize that I like never go to any type of support because I can diagnose and solve most errors myself, so it's not likely to be anything either simple or common.
What you have is sort of a vicious combination of a couple issues. CPU is okay but not stellar. GPU is adequate, but not really the best choice. Memory is low, forcing you to swap to disk more. On top of that, you're playing in a zone that was DESIGNED for Ultra mode and doesn't always degrade in ways that increase performance dramatically. -

Well played! Now pass me some of that funky **** you're smoking...

Quote:Fair enough. I'm just largely curious as to how Elec will work on a team.
EDIT: Actually, a team of controllers would be the LAST place to test that. I just want in on the epic. :P
Yeah, all that rad IS epic.
Your attack buttons playing "whack-a-mole" with you.

The first thing is to try and log onto a hero that's above 20.
You've done this.
If it hasn't unlocked from this, you'll probably need to either /petition it or contact customer support. -
Quote:Just keep an eye out for our basic build suggestions (further back in this thread).I will be out of town next Monday. Hopefully, I can make a decent toon by the Monday after and I will show up the Monday after. I have been doing some mids' work on a couple builds. Gives me a reason to play the toon other than just the fun. I have been slow on my other projects so I will work on the fire/rad. Hope to see you guys out there.

Quote:Okay, would we? Yes. We've taken on Fire/Kins, and even blasters and tanks (for the ITF 2 weeks ago) before. Here's a question for you guys.
Would you accept an Elec/Rad controller as a part of this team?
HOWEVER, if it came down to a choice between you or picking up another Fire/Rad with a full team situation, we go with the Fire/Rad.
