Suspension of disbelief issues aside, I'm fairly sure there's no way that Marvel and DC could have actually shown the fight in what was supposed to be a mainstream comic. Not if they really wanted it out on shelves where kids could get at it.

As in your example, TODAY with no change to the system, Hyperstrike could tell you and everyone in your global channel that anyone was a jerk with no evidence and he could even specify a Global name just because he has a grudge against a guy he teamed with. The end result would be the same.
Wow, look at those goalposts move! What're you running in them?

Sorry, in the current system today, both sides can log any interaction and by comparison of those logs show who was being the problematic one.

In a duplicate naming system, this isn't necessarily the case.

No offense, I don't want to have to deal with a 2-5 year learning curve, meanwhile people are /petitioning me because some mental defective (well, more defective than me) decided to roll up Hyperstrike, clone my appearance, and start ****.

Will people learn? Eventually. In the meantime, it'll be a ******* mess.

Maybe. Remember that the Incarnate slots, as we last saw them, don't exemp.

Uhm. The devs already gave you this option. If you weren't paying attention, the market merger has drastically slashed prices on a great many formerly hard-to-get items.

I'm finding this out much to my dismay right now.

    BULL!

I will repeat again for effect.

    BULL!

Use the extra slots to at least temporarily fill out the build in other places. If you need to go back and "fix" it later, that's what respecs are for.

Simply because you're at a loss as to where to place new slots doesn't mean the devs need to compensate you for a lack of build planning and imagination.

Hint: Leveling builds RARELY look the same way some of these respec-rework builds come out to be later on.

I don't have the billions it would cost to get to 50.
You don't NEED "billions" to get to 50. If you're in the L40 range right now, you can rather cheaply frankenslot your character (or go with standard IOs) and still be VERY effective.

The first trick is not to expect a fully purpled build all at once.
The second trick is to market patiently and effectively.
Craft any drops worth more than the components + crafting cost.
    Sell whatever you don't use.
Rack up merits and alignment merits when possible.

Take a look see at my Merits 911 thread.

There are a couple sets of rolls there that, were you to rely on the market for salvage supply, would cost you 10-15 mil to craft and only net you maybe 4-7 million in net profit. And, on another note, in a couple of cases, I could have bought the all the recipes from a single AM roll off the market for under a million.

While not "crap", it is certainly a reason for a small amount of caution.

First round shivans and HVAS, second round bio nukes, etc... The most we were able to damage him was about 20%. Should we just unload everything on him as soon as his shields go down the first time and try to get him all in one shot?

The problem is, the AV is currently bugged. It should NOT be able to attack from within it's shield the way it is. This is causing what can be an insurmountable obstacle since coping with the huge spawns AND an AV who can attack with complete impunity can be somewhat overwhelming.

Okay due to drifting times at which I'm doing the alignment merit conversion...

You received Luck of the Gambler: Def/End/Rech (Recipe).

    Maybe yes, maybe no.

Keep in mind that the 1AM for 5 rolls is still RANDOM roll.
As such, it's possible to burn 50 merits and 20 million and get a bunch of crap.
  10. Okay, got in early this evening and picked up an ITF on another of my toons. Was so busy not dying I didn't know I'd missed the start of Fire/Rads.

My apologies to everyone. Won't happen again.

On the flip side, you guys took the initiative and started up a Posi1. Good work!

Once done, I was able to join for a Posi2 too. However, it was rough going. VERY rough. The lag tonight was so atrocius that I had to call it. I was going at mobs, getting approximately NO attacks off, and dying instantly. then rubberbanding back and falling over dead. Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad at even level and proper group size. But at +1x8 we were getting murdered. And all I could do was stand there and........watch.

    GRRR!

We got about 2/3 of the way through Posi2. I promise I'll make it up to you guys next week.

Additionally, next week will be my first off this dang wireless connection and on something relatively stable (though calling AT&T DSL "stable" is like calling a gunshot wound "uncomfortable").

I'm actually kinda irked. This was the first time I've ever had to do this. And I hate losing. Hate it like poison. So I'm going to do my damndest to make sure it never happens again!

See you guys next week. Bright and early.

Also, been talking with a couple of you. I know that Monday at 9PM Eastern isn't always the greatest time or day for all of you. What would you guys say to an additional day for Fire/Rads another time during the week? And if so, what'd work for you?

So an Emogoth Vampire pack. Right?
Do we have to open a Hot Topic in Paragon City too?

Yes and no. Remember, SOAs don't really have DDR. So debuffs can get brutal real quick. Meanwhile if the SOA can cap their defenses normally (or come close), the double maneuvers can provide a nice (and stackable) pad against defense debuff.

Yes, but (and you KNEW there was a "but" in there right?), with Fitness becoming inherent, it frees up three power choices in the build and makes packing them onto a crowded build much easier. Thus, making the possibility of an all-SOA team packing both and spending lots of time in spitting distance of the defense hard cap that much more likely.

    Merits 911!

Okay, here's the total list of my first 4 rolls with Alignment Merits.

    Aegis: End/Rech (Recipe).
    Celerity: +Stealth (Recipe).
    Devastation: Chance to hold (Recipe).
    Expedient Reinforcement: End/Dam/Rech (Recipe).
    Force Feedback : Rech/Endurance (Recipe).
    Ghost Widow's Embrace: Acc/Hold/Rech (Recipe).
2 Glimpse of the Abyss: Chance for Psionic Damage (Recipe).
Lockdown: Chance for +2 Mag Hold (Recipe).
    2 Mako's Bite: Dam/Rech (Recipe).
2 Obliteration: Chance for smashing damage (Recipe).
Pacing of the Turtle: End/Rech/Slow (Recipe).
Positron's Blast: Chance for energy damage (Recipe).
Scirocco's Dervish: Chance for lethal damage (Recipe).
Sovereign Right: Aura 10% Resistance (All but Psionic) buff for Pets (Recipe).
2 Stupefy: Chance for Knockback (Recipe).
Trap of the Hunter: Acc/Immob/Rech (Recipe).
  17. As in "stupidly hard to kill".

Think about it. With Fitness out of the way (though still slotted), running both versions of Maneuvers on a team of 8.

Since these powers are now INHERENT, how will this affect Epics? SPECIFICALLY Peacebringers and Warshades?

Right now, you don't really get any benefit from Fitness when using forms.

However, once the set becomes inherent?
