Yeah. Your best bet there is to get into the STF and Hami-Raid scene if you wanna do that.
    1. Year-Round Programming (Translation: Lousy programming choices to put it into a hyper-competitive slot during a hyper-competitive time of the year.)
    2. The move to Tuesday. (Again, lousy programming choice.)
    3. SyFy and "rasslin". (Essentially the channel has alienated (pardon the pun) their core audience with the non-SciFi/Fantasy programming.)
    4. Online viewership/time shifting (Essentially, they're too stupid to figure out a viable way to count for online viewership. I'm sure the 30-day delay helped not-at-all as well.)
    5. Mid-Season Breaks. (As I said before, DESTROYS momentum. And even Doctor Who as adopting this stupid ****ing practice this season.)
    6. Viewers just weren't there. (Translation: Wasn't some runaway blockbuster that everybody and their brother would track through time/day shifts on a halfassed network pushing a load of other garbage programming at you and/or wait AN ENTIRE FRIGGING MONTH to see the same episode online.)
I can actually condense this down into one simple reason. SyFy was just too stupid to manage the damn property correctly. End of story.

  3. This is a joke right?

Not like people had to go to work today or anything...

Actually, as someone who has community moderation experience under his belt, it's NOT favoritism.

It's about "who can be of use to the company" and who can follow the rules. In the context of CoH I don't see it working. Quite simply because it's possible to never interact with the people who you're moderated by.

I wouldn't mind if there were a few AE moderators. Really, how could you tell the difference between the player moderators and the staff moderators?
    Precisely the problem.

    Quote:
The main difference between reporting and approving is the default approval versus default denial. AE would be cleaner and free of exploits if we used default denial would it not?
Yup. And AE would be an even bigger wasteland than it is. You're just proposing the equivalent of clearing out all the tumbleweeds.

You'd be holding someone else's AE slots hostage until someone gets around to looking at the arc.

Also, with "tapped" community mods, you'd give someone the ability to circumvent said approval process.

IIRC, this mission is un-auto-completable and undroppable. I could be wrong (but I don't think I am).

Wouldn't help you anyhow. His regen's been buffed to the point that he can stand in the lava all day.[/QUOTE]

Now before someone starts ******** up a storm about "hard content" and "get a team".

Great, fine and wonderful. For an arc that's supposed to be about an INDIVIDUAL seeking to heighten their own PERSONAL power.

They may as well just turn it into a ****ing taskforce at this point if that's the case.
  7. I give this movie two snaps up...in Z formation.

About the only gripe I had with the movie was one scene of "someone" going to get "something" and them handling it completely offscreen.

    Other than that?

A maintenance doesn't load patch files when you start the game again.

Okay, depending on how you go, you can get away with quite a bit here.

This one's a variant on my current build. No purples, softcapped to SLFC and 40% on EN.

The only downside is that rage isn't perma (my current build does away with the +ToHit improvements in favor of just having rage up as much as possible).

Hover's thrown in at the end to save you the price of a jetpack. Though, if you're that long a continuously-running veteran, you should be able to select Fly anyhow. Also, you can take it earlier in the build.

And, if money's no object for you, you could build with Enzymes instead and save a few more slots for other things.

It was dark, heavy, not fun and not funny. I really wanted to like the series as I wanted more Stargate in my life but I just hated it. Perhaps now we will get a good Stargate, unless of course SGU has killed the franchise....

Sorry to be a Debbie Downer but this series was such an incredible disappointment for me, I just can't help it.

Part of SGU's problem was that they took so damn long to develop it. Most of season 1 really needed to be condensed. And the first quarter of season 2.

The other thing that hurt are the mid-season hiatus periods. They just kill all the momentum. I hated the crap out of it with BSG and doing the same with SGU makes me want to walk into the MGM and SyFy offices with a rock hammer and lay waste.

But by mid season 2, it really started to get it's legs under it.

Hopefully MGM will shop it around and get it picked up elsewhere.

Uhm. Hami raids are NOT broken. YES, it's possible to FAIL them. That comes from problems with teamwork, not because there's anything wrong with the raid itself.

    I call BS.

Please tell me when you can run a 6 minute STF. Seriously, all the ZONING in the TF takes longer than that.

If you include the monster beatdown, with a median time of 20 minutes, you're STILL talking a 12 minute STF.

Care to NOT pull numbers casually from ye olde poope hole?

Done properly, deaths are few to nonexistant. Yeah, if you get a 50-person PUG that isn't balanced and isn't working well together, it's a death-fest. I invite you to come to one of the regular hami raids on any of the servers that runs them on a schedule. THEN talk to us about how hard and death-festy it is.

    Quote:
and i'd get a better chance for stuff to drop. theres a new incentive now with shards, but the same goes for them that does HOs, i can speed a tf get 3-4 shards and whatever piece i need in a fraction of the time it would take to do a hami, which the last i heard were averaging 16 shards which also aren't guaranteed. (same goes for plowing tfs).
If you're speeding a TF, you're NOT going to be getting 3-4 shards, save for some VERY good luck with the RNG.

And, as mentioned, you won't be speeding 3-4 of them in the time it takes to do one Hami Raid.

Yeah, if it weren't for the nasty history Paypal has.

Honestly, trying to affix an IP address from a national ISP to a physical location and use it for billing security is about as dumb as using a box of rocks to beat a bag of hammers.

I understand that NCSoft has to CYA themselves for this sort of thing. Chargebacks are a beeyotch.

    non-SS tank?

But an even bigger issue is that I simply don't see any set other than SS (and maybe fire) effective. For example, my /EM tank is an absolute JOKE compared to my /SS. The ST damage is similar, but the AoE is literally non-existent vs. godlike.

If I do make a tank, it will be shield. I'm set on that. But I just don't know what to do about the secondary. I don't want to play SS or fire again, but the other sets seem just laughable compared to them. I definitely don't want to kill entire spawns one NPC at a time, like I have to with /EM.

Am I missing something? Is some set other than SS or fire really good in reality, even though it looks far inferior on paper?

(KM is not an option, since I don't have GR)
Stone is kinda nice. And actually pretty nifty mitigation-wise too. My WP/Stone is just a beast on teams. Pretty funny for a toon called "Offended Young Girl".

Fire's your Damage, Damage, and OOH! Did I mention DAMAGE? doer. Two PBAoE, a cone attack, and a bunch of nice, hard-hitting ST. Pair with something like Shields for additional damage-boosty goodness.

Dark, by itself, isn't a massive damage set, it's a mitigation-heavy set. More, it's fairly ST-oriented. So if you live or die by AoE, you may want to look at other things.

Ice is decent enough damage, but again, it's more of a mitigation oriented set. Still, Ice patch is both comedy gold AND good mitigation.

DB is fun. But some people feel constrained by the combo system.

Axe and War Mace are basically two sides of the same coin. (Axe: Lethal with KD, Mace: Smashing with KU/KB). Great attacks, some of which are sorta-kinda shared with Stone. But if you're running a primary that lives or dies by how many enemies you can keep packed around you, these two can be...challenging.

    WRONG!

    Sorry but WRONG!

Regen does NOT "protect" you from damage. It allows you to "grow it back" IF you survive the incoming damage. While it's a form of damage "mitigation", it's NOT "protection".

Resistance protects you from damage. Outside of resistance debuffs, it always consistently reduces damage by a set amount.

Defense protects you from damage. Outside of defense debuffs, it always provides a specific difficulty to hit for your enemies to overcome. Now it's NOT perfect (ask any SR scrapper or Ice tank). Defense is an "all or nothing" form of protection. If they hit, they hit. You take damage, period. And it's entirely possible for a series of "lucky shots" to floor you. Or, in the case of stacking defense debuffs, cause cascading defense failure.

    The hell you can't!

Granted, it ain't CHEAP. But it's EASILY do-able.

Here's a 2-minute, badly optimized (and disgustingly expensive) build that's SLEN-capped and damn-near capped for FC as well.
