  1. You OBVIOUSLY haven't seen the rage-on PVP'ers have. Have you?

In short, base building got a small overhaul and price reduction a while back when they yanked raid pathing out. Sure, it wasn't anything CLOSE to what we wanted (or to the "All Your Base" expansion that got scrapped for being terribad). But it was still SOME base loving.

According to the PVP'ers, the same issue that we got some base loving, they were rectally assaulted with something vaguely resembling a California redwood and haven't been able to walk right in PVP ever since.

Not saying we shouldn't continue to make requests of the dev team. We should. But I don't honestly think we're going to get another look at bases AT LEAST until after they get the remainder of the Incarnate system squeezed out. And even then, I dunno. Like PVP, it's a niche system. And, like PVP, it's not truly "broken" in the current form. It may not work how we (or the devs) WANT it to work. But it's "good enough" for now and there are no apparent show-stopper bugs.

You're forgetting that for the most part, the ship is cloaked in high energy structural integrity/protective shields.

Whatever'd hit the ship would encounter the shields first and bounce off there (or be destroyed).
  3. Just saw this. Grats!

Even with max enemies in range you're still short of the cap. And you're not really much more resistant than a defense capped tank.

You should still be really tough for 90% of everything in the game. But against some of the corner cases, you're going to feel damn squishy.

While the +HP is nice and all it doesn't really help you when you're defense debuffed down to nothing and always getting hit.

If you're happy with the build, great. But you could squeeze a lot more longevity out of the build.
  5. Hey guys! This is tonight.

Brush the cobwebs off your meat shield, practice your most cutting retorts, and get your buff backsides to the Independence Port gate in Kings row.

    9PM Eastern.

If you're not there, YOU'RE JUST A DIRTY SQUISHY!

Yeah. This is why I prefer Laser Beam Eyes to Hurl, since you need to be on the ground for Hurl too.

    *Edit*

I now also see you have softcapped E/N with hover on aswell very impressive

im not sure if its possible without the pvp IO but im gona give it ago now :P

I feel i undersold your build ^^ its got very impressive figures im just put of by the expense is all
One other thing. That's with ONE enemy in range. Lock Invincibility on and then click and drag the slider bar in the power description and watch how your defenses scale with more enemies.

And yes, it's going to take a bit of doing to build it. But nothing good ever comes easy.

    HUH?

My build is sitting at 70.3% S/L resistance.
The build you posted immediately above it (from which this is a rework), is sitting at 69.7% resistance.

E/N resistance is identical in value and you've lost half a percent on F/C resist.

Yes, my build sacrifices +HP and +Regen. It makes up for it with generally better defense and endurance efficiency.

I also DISLIKE Makeovers and also toyed with a build where i soft capped S/L defense without it , but with the idea of going down cardiac route it makes it viable to sustain in combat and the all round def it offers not just to S/L is nice
I take it you mean Maneuvers. The problem is, the way you're building (sacrificing 4 slots to each and every defense power) when those slots could be used more effectively elsewhere.

I like the ideas of Hami's alot and maybe when i save up for them one day ill have to re-jiggle the build to save space in some of toggles *also u used the PvP 3% Defense! i cannot afford that! can anyone?!*
    What "afford"? Alignment merits.
If you don't want to throw any cash (save maybe for components) at it, simply do all your tip missions every day for two and a half months. If you want it faster and have a few hundred million inf and regular merits to burn?

At 320x200 and minimal effects, you're looking at the load being almost entirely CPU-based.

Okay I understand you're trying to get to the soft cap.

But you also have to consider that you're on a brute. If you're almost completely unhittable, you're going to have a harder time building fury too. Meaning you're expending the same amount of endurance for less damage.

Not saying you SHOULDN'T cap. Just keep this fact in mind.

Also, Maneuvers? NO! BAD! You can use that endurance elsewhere!

    But, with that in mind.

Your other problem is that all that extra recharge isn't your friend.

    Look at something like this:

Also, volunteer for Hami raids. Try to work yourself up a cachet of Enzymes. Six of them will boost your S/L above cap and cut your resting endurance consumption by almost 1/3rd (and in this build it's already below 1 end/sec WITHOUT a cardiac). You could then also relocate one of the slots in Combat Jumping to Hasten to have a fully three-slotted Hasten.

YES, you'll attack slower due to losing all those +Recharge. But you'll be able to mash buttons as fast as they come up for longer because you're not using endurance at such a crazy rate. However you'll be rocking double-stacked Rage a SIGNIFICANT chunk of the time, which should help with overall damage output.

I DID keep the Reticle in there. As that's a VERY neat idea.

Inside itself? No. The Master's Tardis inside of The Doctor's? Yeah. Logopolis.

Also, could Bane just be a stand-in for Ubu? Ra's's heir to the League of Shadows? Or a figure that will be competing with Talia, Catwoman, and Roman Jr. for Gotham?
Roman Falcone, as opposed to this guy.

Yeah. I miss this. Walk up to a group and just watch them start randomly spoinking psi damage.

"You know? there's something about that guy that just irks m*HEADSPLODY!*"

If this doesn't apply to you, proper, then never mind. But for those implying they're "owed", they need to actually think on this a bit.

See? Fair. Even irrespective of vet status or whichever customer can manage to log in first. Less work even for those that have both NA and EU accounts, since they're both discreet and unalterable.

No because then it becomes a race to rename. And opens the way to griefing.

  20. Ah hell, just going to chuck these in here for gits and shiggles.

Click on them for the full-sized versions (WARNING! BIIIIG! 1200 high by 3-5000 wide!)

Sorry, but the "We paid more for less for so long so we're owed" line of argument doesn't fly. While some modicum of sympathy for the disparity is evident, it's not going to change anything.

Additionally, there's no way of knowing what the operational overhead of NCSoft Europe is and why it necessitated a higher price structure.

    Cheap
    Fast
    Good

No. I was merely asking for clarification.

What I tried to say is:

The total number of NA accounts and EU accounts is not relevant to this reasoning. The non-conflicting accounts will not be affected at all, neither EU accounts or NA accounts, so we can ignore them when we're assessing the damage.
I'd question the notion that non-conflicting accounts won't be affected "at all". There's the presumption that NO other changes to the various table data or structures is necessary. This may or may not be the case. But thank you for clarifying.

You evidently missed something here. Snide comments are just about the only type I make.

As for my posting style of dissection. Your objection is that you dislike it because you think it's aimed at deconstructing the argument it replies to.

Very good. Note that I'm deconstructing the argument and not the person as you've been doing with me here (and dragging the conversation off-topic).

Whether you like this style of retort is completely immaterial.

And maybe you shouldn't assume that I'm NOT taking my time OR thinking about my replies. And again, the offense here lies wholly in your mind.

Howsabout we just save time here and I stop responding to your efforts to try and label me a troll and we get back to the discussion at hand?
