Well, they've already started rounds on various cons this year.
So I'm expecting no HeroCon.
Honestly, if they were going to do it, I'd ask for one thing. A LOT OF LEAD TIME. With all the previous HeroCons, the lead time on them was a few months. Unfortunately I can't work with those timeframes. Especially for a jaunt from Chicago to the left coast. Heck, even MIDWEST cons I go to are planned and budgeted for almost a full year in advance.
One other thing, this year, I hope they finally hit a Midwest con. There were members of Paragon at GenCon last year. But not in an official "we're doing something" capacity.
I know, I know. The coastal cons are easier for them to get to. Yadda yadda yadda. It's still acting as if nobody in the corn belt actually gets away from their plowing to game. -

Okay, had one random crash tonight. No OGL error, just a crash.
Will give this a few days to see if the driver setting helped. Then I'll try the registry setting. -

Yeah, took the big GW dark background image I use for my desktop and modified it. And yeah, WISH there was a version of the image spewing the Soul Storm.

I normally count Aid Self when talking about comparing builds and what they can do in-game, particularly when there is strong evidence that Aid Self would actually work in the circumstances being discussed, like if Aid Self is part of an actual in-play build. Also I looked up the registry edit you mentioned. Not going to try it YET. But here it is.
NOTE: This is risky, because you have to edit the registry, which can mess up your computer if done wrong.
You should make a backup before you try this!
- Goto registry editor (start -> run -> regedit)
- Navigate yourself to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\GraphicsDrivers\(make sure GraphicsDrivers is highlighted).
- Right click -> New -> DWORD (32-bit) value -> Name it: TdrDelay -> double click it -> Set it to A (hexadecimal) or 10 (decimal).
If that doesn't work, try disabling it, by adding the following DWORD: TdrLevel and setting the value to 0, then rebooting. -
No. Didn't see that fix. Have implemented it now and will see how it does.

- Check the slider for Sound FX Volume.
Likely you have the Effects volume turned way down (or off). -
