  2. Update. Okay guys.
You now have SG access to both MidLevel Crisis and the Freikorperkultur (yes it's a mouthful) bases. Both have every blue-side base telepad. Both have crafting facilities and vault access for you.

As a holder of multiple degrees, I can say that it's not anti-intellectualism. My problem is that the state of education in this country (the US) is atrocious (with a capital ATROCIOUS). As such, the benchmark of what can be considered "intellectualism" is correspondingly becoming an ever-sinking target.
  5. You're going to need to make a SERIOUS effort to get your defenses up.

    E/N/F/C are okay...but.

Your S/L defense is horrendously low. Basically you're getting hit by S/L attacks (most of what Romans throw) only slightly less than all the time.

Take into account that they're ALSO tossing out defense debuffs left and right and you ARE getting hit all the time.

I don't care how many HP you have or how high your regen is, it's NOT enough to deal with that sort of punishment.

You've got too many low-level attacks that aren't significantly adding to your damage while eating into your endurance.

Here's a crude rebuild stripping extraneous attacks. And swapping flight for Leaping. I also gave you SoW, but if you MUST have self-flight, swap it out for Hover (for more defense) or Flight (if you're a long-term vet).

On your original build, with non-Incarnate content, you were getting hit approximately 38% of the time.
On this build you're getting hit approximately 13% of the time.

You're essentially one small purple inspie away from soft-cap for S/L.
You're spitting distance from softcap for E/N and your RttC debuff should make up the difference most of the time.
F/C is also fairly respectable, nothing great, but it'll mean you're only getting hit by pure fire damage about 15% of the time.

You're losing punch (OHNOEZ!) and Air Superiority (the KU and -flight was kinda nice BUUUT), but your attacks are still coming up rapidly enough that you actually have an attack chain.

I still have one slot unassigned. Were I you, I'd work towards the PVP Gladiator's Armor TP Resist/+3% defense. You'd then be able to laugh up your sleeves at Malta Snipers and you'd be down to only getting hit 8-10% of the time by S/L. You COULD assign it elsewhere but..

At that point you'd find yourself nigh-unkillable by most any normal content until you severely jacked up the difficulty. In the Incarnate content, Defense is less meaningful, as many of the villains have better chances to hit, or are attacking you with auto-hit or auto-damage attacks (blue patches of death, BAF/Lambda cannons).
  6. This is, unfortunately, NORMAL for post-patch ship raids. After issues and big bugfixes, ship raid performance goes to hell in a handbasket.

Usually after the next maintenance, they get all that stuff under control.

HOWEVER, I'm willing to bet that, with the proliferation of new abilities, we're going to see a decrease in performance of the CoH client on 50-player zone raids.
  7. This. It doesn't have to be a massively elaborate map. And, because people aren't going to be brawling in the map, you could possibly get away with a higher user count than regular zones where you're expecting combat.
  8. Your other option. Coalition with MidLevel Crisis and use their base for crafting and vault access. If Fulmens can't do so himself, let me know and I'll log in and toss the coalition your way.
  9. Also, look somewhere besides Memory Express for the best price.

ME has it for $355 (rounding to nearest dollar) AFTER mail-in rebate (You pay $375 up front for it.)

Newegg Canada has it for $344 after an instant rebate. PLUS a $40 mail-in rebate. With $11.50 shipping, $315.50.

No. Holding a doctorate merely means you've invested lots of time and money into obtaining a piece of paper that says you know something. Ostensibly, this means you're "educated". But it's always possible that the reality of the situation will generate massive cognitive dissonance.

Right now, I can't access the Titan Network. While that's kind of sucky for me, I've found that it may be a lot of other people affected, too. After troubleshooting what is going on, I've figured out that there is an intermediary network provider between Comcast and Linode (where the server is hosted) that has a link down. The intermediary is nLayer, and specifically, the hop between 68.31.94.118 and 69.31.95.130 is down, with very brief (a few seconds per pop) intermittent uptimes.

Just to be clear, this is not a Titan Network outage. The server is up and running, and if you happen to be on a network that doesn't go through nLayer, several of our devs have verified that you can get to all of your stuff fine. However, with these upstream provider outages, it can get hairy; it's hard to tell exactly how widespread it may be. It may just be Comcast in the Atlanta area, or it could be a regional or even a national outage across one or more networks.

If you can't get to the Titan Network, I hate to say it, but we're kind of at the mercy of nLayer. Hopefully they'll fix the connection soon.
This is likely local just to you Tony.

Remember, when trouble spots arise, the packets are supposed to route around the trouble. The fact that you're not routing around it reliably yet means either the trouble is VERY recent or you have sub-optimal (or static) routing going on someplace where it shouldn't.
  14. Well! Now I'm getting it quite regularly on BAF.

Not to be TOO snarky here.

But how...EXACTLY is relatively immediate response to (and patching of) fairly significant bugs "poor" customer service?

Okay, 6 months ago, I'd have said "Screw it! Go XP!"
Now, honestly, I can't really make that recommendation anymore.
Been using Windows 7 for most of the last year and can't really say anything bad about it.
If your budget absolutely DEMANDS you pay less and go XP...I guess, but I believe you'll be better served by Windows 7 than an OS that's nearly 10 years old and an EoL (End of Life) product. Microsoft has already started NOT backporting security updates to Windows XP.
