Okay you've answered a few questions, think you can grab a copy of the questions from the guide in my sig (paste them in THIS thread) and toss an answer on the rest of them?
"I'm cheap" doesn't help when figuring out budgets and suggesting alternate components. -
Hey! What's wrong with Sailor Bubba? Other than the fact that he's an old, hairy dude in a sailor fuku?
He's been a fixture at Anime Central for years now.
Just be glad you didn't see him in his Lum costume.

Saw it last night at the late-late.
Was going to see it in IMAX 3D. I got there 30 minutes early to an oversold, and already packed theater.
So I had to settle for seeing it in regular 3D, though I got a raincheck out of it.
Funny and epic. -
Wondering if the issue has to do with the way the Barrier shields "flicker" into existence.
I'm somewhat lucky that it isn't giving me migraines, but that may just be from lack of prolonged exposure too.
The flicker is definitely noticeable. -
As for the small windows on each server on a given day.
They already have an Invasion engine available to them.
Why screw around with some manually controlled event when they could have just built a new Invasion and triggered it? -
Hero Tip: Never look up when super with diarrhea fly over.
Villain Tip: Look both ways before crossing employer. -
Quote:No. My point has been made. It's simply not a point you wish to accept, so you are doing your best to ignore and trivialize it.Really. You're reaching to try to make some sort of point. And missing.
That's okay though. Watching someone put their hands over their ears and shout "Not listening!" is always amusing. -

Quote:So you are so psychotically insistent on people being forced to associate with someone they don't want to that you'd rather have Paragon Studios lose their business than admit they have the right to ask the company to change its service policies?
And I'd say that your insistence on only associating with those you want to is just as psychotic.
Welcome to the real world. Shared by more than just you and your immediate clique of friends. Try to play nice. -

Quote:Yup. You have many freedoms. However NCSoft and other players aren't required to grant you a venue for the expression of said freedoms.Edit: Oh, and yes, privacy and freedom to choose with whom one associates? Basic, fundamental human rights that everyone ought to enjoy.
Not saying you have no rights. But some of your rights are held in abbeyance by your participation in a service provided by another party. -

... incredibly bad.
1: Before it starts is pre-queue. At which point the league leader has no idea if the LFG system will add or not.Quote:I'm saying someone who boots before it even starts isn't even on the scale.
2: Once you zone into the raid, it's started. Period.
Please attempt to argue your way around this at your leisure.
It becomes a larger issue as the team size necessary for an event scales up.Quote:I don't think it's any more "valid" than worries of, oh, an "elitist" ITF. Again, will some people use it? Sure. Just like some people now only invite SG mates or global friends to teams. But that it's actually a big problem to worry about? No.
If you were correct, why don't we see hourly Hami raids or ship raids? -
Quote:Tantrum? To be fair Hyper it could be said that you and Snow are having a tantrum because the devs made a queue that adds players to leagues and then threw you a curve ball by allowing the team leaders to customize their leagues by including the ability to kick people they don't want added to the league.
Put that way, I don't think the assessment is fair. -
Quote:So you're trying to say there's no difference between someone who boots people just before the awards screen of a TF and someone who boots someone from an undropped raid group because they're ineligible to participate (no Going Rogue, etc)? There is no "scale" for just booting someone for something the team leader has *zero* control over. If they could control the invites, and then invited and immediately booted someone, you'd have a starting point for that.
Why don't we just agree that we disagree on this point.
I still think the trepidation some people feel, that it will be used as an excuse to segregate the player population, is a valid and this issue needs to be addressed.Quote:Let people lock the leagues if they want to and avoid the situation entirely on *both* ends. -
Quote:Correct. It's a metric. Then stop saying it, because it's not true (other than in individual cases. Sure, some people are. Kicking someone, however, is not the benchmark for jerk-ness.)
Booting a member of a TF who comes into the map, door-sits, and simply hoovers up drops and exp ranks really low on the jerk-ness scale. But it's still measurable (like the ability to determine normal background radiation levels).
Booting someone who was actively participating in a TF, trial, raid, etc right at the end and possibly denying them end-of-event rewards is dinging the opposite end of the jerk-ness scale.
Booting someone who popped in on an Incarnate trial is a floating value. Simply dumping them with little to no explanation still ranks high on the scale.
Explaining one's position before a boot lowers one's position on the scale.
Asking if the player would consent also lowers one's position.
But it doesn't remove one from the scale.
They have free rein *now.* Providing those controls will let those who want specific groups to have them, while letting those in the LFG queue avoid them and not - as someone else put it - "waste their time" getting put onto a group that didn't want them there in the first place.[/QUOTE] -
Quote:Part of this is caveat emptor.No, I don't.
But I also don't think that the devs have the right to sell me what looks like a private house (raid instances that are created specifically for each individual league) and then tell me it's really a public park.
That's what I'd call a 'bait and switch.'
Part of that is someone who goes to a Hyundai dealership and buys a Hyundai and is ticked that someone didn't roll a Porsche out for them instead.
The structure of the raid system was a KNOWN factor for a good long while before i20 dropped.
So who is at fault if you (generic "you") are un(der)informed about how the system works?

Quote:No... That's not what's being said.I completely disagree. The rest of the game is not irrelevant, nor will it ever be. I can still enjoy all the old content. If the new content has made the rest of the game irrelevant to you, then that is not my problem.
Eiko isn't saying the rest of the game is irrelevant. Merely that using what the rest of the game is like in this argument is irrelevant.
HOWEVER, currently, if you wish to progress with the post-50 advancement system, you're locked into a single path right now with no viable options. -

Quote:I think you're making a bit too much of this. Take a look at Cimerora. It's essentially "the ITF zone". There are some missions in there of an introductory nature. But for the most part, when it dropped, it was for the ITF and not much more.It indicates a troubling direction with the game, where solo and small group content have become the afterthought.
Also, for i20, they had told us that new raiding systems were coming out. With the way issues drop here (every 3-5 months) that's not a LOT of time to beat together extensive solo or small teams content.
It's not so much an "afterthought" as a choice of priorities. They can dink with the missions content and possibly leave the entirety of the raids and incarnates systems uncompleted or delayed, or they can hammer out the systems and then fill in the solo content later.
Also, keep in mind, the solo content is consumed just as fast as everything else. People blow through it in a couple days then complain that there's nothing else to do.
I'm content to deal with introductory raid content, so long as it's fleshed out later with small teams/solo content. -

Yeah, it was added because it people weren't paying attention to league chats.
Unfortunately this was like putting beeps on Broadcast (SEPPUKU! SEPPUKU! SEPPUKU!).
I'm wondering if there'd just be a way to apply the beeps to team/league leaders instead of just a general chat beep. -
Okay guys. Feel free to keep responding. I should have been in bed about 2 hours ago. Going there now. Will pick this up tomorrow if the mods haven't carpet-nuked the thread from orbit.
