Now we just need the CEBR's to do yellow salvage and drop that too to hell with the marketeers .
Hint: Marketeers aren't the ones driving prices up.

Here's some common salvage I listed for 100 each.

Now I sure as hell didn't list these for 500K each.

Newsflash!: Using this to manipulate the prices on the market (up or down) makes YOU a marketeer TOO.

Seriously though. My problem with Maneuvers in this specific case is that there has been no real effort to reduce endurance consumption (beyond the Alpha) or boost recovery significantly. As such, bumping endurance consumption by nearly 10% while maintaining as large an attack profile as they have, basically screams "carry blues, LOTS of blues".

No. You have anecdotal evidence based solely upon your build and your opinion as to what "acceptable" endurance use is.

Besides, that's not the argument. The argument against Maneuvers is because it's a needless expense:

    • In endurance use
    • In a power pick
    • In a use of slots
    All because:
    • There are better ways to cap an Invuln tank (that don't even remotely include burning over 2 billion inf on a PVP IO).
    End of discussion.

It's on my Invul Tank and I see no reason whatsoever that I wouldn't keep it.
1: Said stupid-spensive IO eats exactly zero endurance. Maneuvers eats .39 end/sec (most of Invuln's toggles eat 2/3 of this). There are far better power picks and uses for the slots than Maneuvers.

2: It's ENTIRELY possible to softcap an Invuln WITHOUT the PVP IO and be more blue-bar friendly doing so.

3: What's bad is that he's essentially relying on his EPP and a FootStomp with NO (as in zero, zip, zilch, nada, one-less-than-uno) EndRed in it for his damage output, rather than primary. He's got roughly 1/4 of all of his slots assigned to his last 4 (most damaging but also highest recharging and most end-hungry) powers. Then he's piling on recharge to get them up as much as possible without any sort of endurance consumption mitigation other than to just stop attacking and huff or eat blues like a starving man eating a bag of skittles.

I hope not, because the character just isn't fun to play when I need to rest every other mob set.

Note: I REALLY don't recommend the various soft-cap builds for leveling up. You're in a really bad place without full slotting on some of them.

At lower levels, frankenslotting your attacks is what I'd recommend.

I'm curious if someone with more experience knows if I am going to end up with huge endurance problems. I don't mind keeping blues on hand if it means Fireball over Energy APP, but I don't want to have all blues and be chugging them like an addict, either.

Additionally, would going Ageless Core for the destiny power to solve any end issues be a stupid choice given the Rebirth Radial is much better for survivability.

If anyone has some experience with this I'd appreciate the help.

You've gone after +Recharge on your tank instead of using your set bonuses to softcap. Maneuvers on an Invuln tank?!?!?!? And your S/L resist isn't even capped, even with tough. BAD TANK! BAAAAAD!

Your big AoE (Foot Stomp) is slotted for ZERO endurance reduction and you're depending on Spiritual.

You have all these attacks and all this recharge but not enough recovery or endurance reduction to support it.

Something is going to have to give. My advice would be to better slot for endurance reduction and go Spiritual for a recharge boost.

And for the love of bob, GET RID OF MANEUVERS!

If you buy Going Rogue you'll gain access to the Alignment system. This'll give you tip missions that'll allow you to rack up alignment merits. You can use those alignment merits to spec-buy recipies that you need.

30's are particularly in demand because you lose set bonuses if you exemp down more than 3-levels below the IO's level. Level 30 is also the place where IO slotting actually becomes more worthwhile than SOs. Hence the level 30 stuff while not giving the absolute MAX boost to basic attributes, are still quite in demand.

  16. Seriously, look at Call Me Awesome's guid to the defense cap.

Your setup is fairly decent now. But you're wasting a LOT of slots.

Think: 4-slotted reactive armor x5 and 3-slotted Aegis for Resist Elements.
If you already have the two 3% defense uniques, kudos. 5-slot your first two resists (Reactivex4 and then the uniques).

Instead of Crushing Impacts, think 4-slotted Kinetic Combats and then the Mako triple or Quad.

The Shield Wall unique is, frankly, a waste.
The KB protection IO is a complete waste.
    Remove a slot from Hasten.

Take a look at this rebuild. Soft-capped PLUS right out of the gate to S/L/E/N. F/C soft-cap with 3 enemies in range.

And where do you go from here? Enzymes where all your single-aspect defense IOs are (though if you replace the LOTG Defense ones you'll lose a chunk of regen).

Even so, just TWO Enzymes would reduce your resting endurance drain by 10%.

    1. You're not going to be gaming untethered from the power outlet regardless.
    2. In desktop mode (non-gaming), your power consumption shouldn't be appreciably greater than the 555M.
    3. With the 555M you're dealing with the "Optimus" tech. Essentially when you're in desktop mode you're on-board video that's eating system memory. When you game it "flips over" onto the gaming GPU. Simple in theory, but I'm not a big fan of maintaining redundant video devices.

What you'd probably want to do is create the macros, plunk them up in Tray 3. Then bind your G keys to CTRL+(1 to 0) for whichever slot you drop them on.

    I have a G510 and I think that's what I'm going to do.

My problem is right now I'm doing the "gobble them inspies people!" routine. I'm sure there's a more efficient route to go but the mission is so crazy once the ambush comes in that I'm just smacking keys like it's a combo-fighting game.

This is a damn interesting tactic TopDoc.

Yes. But if you're tanking properly, killing everything before it can hate your squishies, you never get to USE Vengeance! Kinda like taking Unstoppable on a defense-capped Invuln.
  21. Okay waitasec.

    You're on a TANK.

Why in the name of BOB are you taking the Leadership pool over the fighting pool?

You've spent all this money and tons of slots on set bonuses that become largely irrelevant with tough/weave.

This is an incomplete (and badly arranged) rework somewhere along the lines of what you were doing but replacing the leadership pool.
Don't follow it EXACTLY, but try to take note of what I have done and the repercussions of it.

No! Seriously! Go get a Katana from one of the scrappers and cut me some slack!

No, the point is that tying abilities, once bought, to a horrifically unstable authentication mechanism IS DUMB (as in "self-trepanation with a 6" wide 12' long drill bit to relieve a headache" dumb).

How would you like to be in the middle of a trial like Keyes and all of the sudden NOT have access to your Incarnate slots?

Or worse, be dumped seconds before completion because the market server dumps, rendering everyone non-incarnate and ineligible for the trial?

Are you reading the image the same as I am?
    I dunno.

If the PM server is this tetchy and laggy with a single server and maybe a couple thousand people, even with some bugfixes, I shudder to think about the effects of the full weight of the game's general population.

Maybe I'm coming across as "DOOOOOOOM", but this "sneak preview" has all the appeal of the CoT redesign at the moment.
