Yeah. My inspie drops fell off sharply with a second person in the map.
And remember, capped defense, while nice isn't 100% protection. You're still getting occasional shots through defense (and with a horde around you occasional x aggro cap is fairly significant).

1: Grab yourself a copy of Mids.
2: Build up an SS character and toss 3 standard recharge IOs into it.
3: Look at the info tab for the power (showing recharge, end consumption, activation times). If the recharge time is less than the duration, you can stack.

Base duration of Rage is 120 seconds.
Base recharge of Rage is 240 seconds.

To stack Rage, you need to get the recharge of rage down to 120 seconds or less. To stack Rage USEFULLY, you want to get recharge as low as feasible.

With 3 level 50 Recharge IOs, Rage recharges in just over 120 seconds. So no, just 3 L50 Recharge IOs alone isn't enough.

Now. If you tack on Hasten, in addition to 3 Recharge IOs, the recharge of Rage drops to just over 89 seconds while Hasten is up.

Then I buy 4 Lucks and run to the mission. Level 25+ is similar but I can buy the Lucks before the reds thus saving a couple of seconds. After zoning in, I use the mouse to steer and my other hand to use all the Inspirations. I've just changed the map to use a Warehouse one as suggested by Diesel Punk, and I barely finish using the Inspirations before I reach the mobs. Because I use them so late, they last till I'm half done. And by then I've earned more Inspirations. I've switched my attacks to keys 1 and 2, and the I1-3 macros on 3-5. I spend most of my time hitting 34343434113422343434113434(pause for Spin)343434343434112234343434. Because I combine Inspirations so fast, there's a bug that makes me use some of them on the side. Or maybe the extra damage from combining Respites is just enough on average to kill faster and not need so many Respites.
I tend to buy reds and put them in the F1 row. Then the yellow and an orange. Then fill with purples.

I then eat reds by spamming F1 while buying them as fast as possible from the vendor. I then run in, hit F2 (yellow and orange) and F3 and F4.

At 50 I still fill F1 with reds, then F2 Yellow, orange, orange, purple. Then the rest purples.

I eat F1 until I'm 675%, fill with more reds, run into the mish, eat F2 and F3. It puts me a bit over on def but hey.

I tend to just eat whatever the hell I get in mish. Sub optimal and dangerous at times (when it's not dropping greens and blues for a while things get dicey. But for the most part it works fine. I've had a couple missions drop so many reds on me I spent the entire mission at damage cap.

I had that happen about 4 different times on my recent 1-50 run on Defiant. The game obviously saves the recharge state of powers when you zone. I'm guessing the bug has something to do with different servers not having their clocks synched. I try to avoid using Spin before zoning out now. And the fifth one is even easier than the second.
I've had this too. I've had to bang on it several times till it finally syncs up and recharges again. May make a sync macro and see if that helps.

Okay, just learned the hard way that this is NOT the arc for PL'ing a teammate.

The split of inspie drops is absolutely detrimental to your performance.
Also, unless they're glued to your backside, they tend to die and take a bunch of ambush mobs with em, splitting your kill pool.

    PL through level pact? Cool.
PL through teaming in the same arc? BAD!
  6. Went and saw it (in 2D, was surprisingly hard to find an early 2D showing) at a local "Brew and View". Was a good Conan flick. And yeah, no way in hell a bunch of critics were going to like it. Not with the Arnie version being such a staple of many of their childhoods.

Stacking merely means you activate the power a second (or with enough recharge, a third) time before the expiration of the first instance of the power.

If you don't want to have to worry about it, you can set it to auto-fire (Hold down the CTRL key and click the power). Now you can only auto-fire one power. So if you're also rocking something like Hasten, you have to make a choice.

It goes to show how stupid the suits with the money are. I'd pose this question to them:

If DiDio, Jim Lee and Geoff Johns were the hot spit they constantly make themselves out to be, the sales on the books wouldn't have degraded to the point they have to do a reboot.

So why are you giving them free reign to restart your whole line as THEY see fit?

It's BECAUSE of them the books have been sliding the past 10 years, because they're full of it and don't know how to run the company. If they did, you wouldn't be at this point.

    .
    Constant Crisis Confusion.

Seriously. Trying to tie the ENTIRE product line together to make everyone buy every issue of everything Just Does Not Work. It may work in the short-term. But after a while (and some whopping huge comic bills), people become much more selective and better able to control their impulse buying.

I still don't see what's wrong with allowing a few of the lines with good, steady arcs to go their own way. Rather than just toss everything out start over from scratch for the umpty-gajillionth time. So you don't have total, matching continuity in the universe. WHO GIVES A ****! IT IS A COMIC BOOK!

I'm reading them for ongoing storylines I find interesting/amusing (I found the whole Vartox arc in PowerGirl hilarious). I'm not reading for:

    • Monster of the week
    • Crossover of the quarter
    • Super-Mega-Ultra Crisis tie-in of the year
And the whole new "#1" issue reset shell game. This is a syphilitic hold-over from the whole collectible comics market crash back in the early 90's.

A promising book that wasn't even allowed to run a year to finish the first story arc the way it was intended to. You can just about tell what issue they were working on when the creators were told about the reboot and that the book was going to be canceled no matter what they did.

So many dangling plots threads. So many unexplained plot points. So much rushed in the final few issues. A supporting cast that will probably never be seen again.

All for a reboot that itself will be likely be undone in under a year.

And sadly, I fear not even the failure of the New 52 can oust Dan DiDio from the company. He's grown far too powerful and even more insane with that power. No, he'll blame comic shop owners, the writers (the ones who aren't his personal friends), women, the economy, even the readers for the books' failure before he takes any heat himself for his own actions.

    * Hack the Paragon Times servers and link them to adult fan and slash fics of various super heroes on the web. Set up an origin program to fool the system into thinking they come direct from the Associated Press as real stories.

    * Replace Back Alley Brawler's power gloves with child's Hulk SMASH green foam rubber gloves complete with Crash! Bang! BOOM! sound effects.

    * Steal as many Nemesis Automatons as possible. Hack and replace dialog programs with dialog from Desperate Guy and Turn Down Girl. Let them loose upon the general populace; watch city morale plummet.

    * Create a mixture of concentrated Red Bull and Superadine... put several cans in large punch bowl of ice with sign reading "free samples"... leave where Synapse can find it.

    * Go to Virtue Server and hi-jack blimp above Atlas Park. Wait until population is at least 30% cat-girls and release aerosole Catnip.

    * Commission detailed Hollywood backdrop effect that appears to be a glorious city with sparkling spires and busy, bustling streets but is actually the size and shape of a billboard. Place directly in front of hero appearance point just inside gates to Boomtown.

    * Hire Extreme Home Makeovers team. Make up some story about a family living in a home that hasn't been completed despite working on it for several years now. Direct the bus to North East corner of Steel Canyon.

    * Buy a large, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome Style bus complete with armor and armaments. Hire the flaming clown from Twisted Metal as a bus driver. Tell him to (finally) make some "stops" in Atlas Park.

    * Three Words: Anatomically Correct Statues.

    * Find willing suicide bomber to carry experimental Exploding Cream Pie bomb into AE Building and set it off. Volunteer must have little will to live or purpose in life. Note to Self: Talk to Day Job Recruiter.

    * Attain Staff of Ultimate Magical Sparkly Power. Insure Staff HEAVILY against theft. Give to Azuria for safekeeping.

    * Capture Fusionette (no big problem there). When hero shows up to rescue her offer to just "drop her off at the next enemy stronghold so you don't have to lead her wandering self back to the mission door while she aggros the entire map." Watch them take a tick toward Vigilante when they accept.

    * Create a special dye/ink that disappears in direct sunlight but reappears in dark or shaded areas. Offer to sell it to various covert villain groups. To show how it works, steal Sister Psyche's celophane super suit and use the ink on the green bits. Be nearby when she shows up for work in the shadow of the hospital the next morning. Wait for noon.

    * Get very powerful, yet highly sensitive and detail specific laser. From a distance with a telescope, etch "Space for Rent" on forehead of Statesman's half-helmet.

    * While he is occupied in his lab, sneak into the storage space for Positron's Armor and fill it with lime jell-o.

    * While they are out enter the Manticore mansion. Remove cap from shower head. Crush up powdered blue paint pellet attained at any teacher's supply store. Fill cap with blue powdered paint and re-attach to nozzle. Set up camera and small audio speaker to play the Smurf "La-LA, La-la-la-LA!" song when Manticore emerges from trap.

Yes... I am perhaps a wee bit too familiar with that last one. Let's just say I make for an "interesting" room-mate.
Okay, found the badge for the Steelclaw Strikeforce.

I'll run the numbers for Scrappers at their damage cap, but I don't think they'll be nearly as good.
If you're leveling, kill everything in the two groups and associated ambushes.

Thing is, you can do this with just about any combo on any AT.
The point becomes how FAR do you want to be able to exemp down? This'll help determine how you build them and what (and what level) IO sets to drop in.

    Take my main tank (Hyperstrike).

He's basically built to gradually, and gracefully exemp all the way down to 30 while keeping most of his set bonuses.
