Well.
One POSSIBLE way, though it's something that'd make Rube Goldberg wet himself.
If this person can use PayPal, he should be able to apply for a Paypal Mastercard. Essentially it's a secured (meaning you have to have the money there) account.
If PayPal won't honor charges to NCSoft US or NCSoft EU, he should be able to use the card at places like Amazon and buy time cards.
But NCSoft and Paragon REALLY need to get on top of this. -
As they have over the past several years, Paragon Studios is running a limited time deal for getting free play time (or discounted months, depending on how you want to look at it) when you renew your subscription.
Now this doesn't require any cash outlay up front. It merely tacks this on as a bonus when your subscription comes up for renewal next. So, if you're due to renew in June of next year, you can take advantage of this now and you'll wind up with a 7 (6+1) or 14 (12+2) month renew come June.
And it's really simple to do. And can even be done from within the game itself!
Here's how.
1: Sign in to City of Heroes and queue into one of the servers (you don't need to actually spawn into the game, just get to your character list).
2: Hit the shopping cart button in the upper right-hand corner to take you into the Paragon Market.

3: Click on the My Account Button in the upper right-hand corner. This will take you to the NCSoft Master Account Login Screen. (Note: The image below has been altered to hide my account name. Normally your account name will be pre-filled in there.

4: Sign in to your NCSoft account and it'll take you to the Game Account Details screen.

5: Click on the Holiday Bonus Time banner. This will take you to the Payment Plan screen.

6: Choose either the 6+1 plan or the 12+2 plan as you like.
7: Click the "Change My Plan" button and you're done.
The next time your account renews, you're set. -
Quote:The holiday 6+1 or 12+2 thing is separate from the Paragon Market and has nothing to do with it.So i log onto my account today to see if i have my 400pp for paying my account today and i find this instead (Holiday bonus time 11/28-11/31).
Now i like free stuff as much as the next person but i was planing to use those points to buy some stuff in the market. I waited all weeked for those points so i could buy some stuff and now i probably won't get anything as i can't afford it. I wish you had at least waited untill the black friday sale was over

Quote:About 1%. Even level 40 stuff 4-slotted takes you over ED cap.Do you know, how much resistance do you lose by not being able to have lvl 50 enhancements?
Mids gives the following values:
Reactive Armor (40)
Resist, Resist/End, Resist/Rech, Resist/End/Rech
- EndRed/Recharge: 43.43% enhancement
- Resistance: 56.57% enhancement (63.80% before ED)
Resist, Resist/End, Resist/Rech, Resist/End/Rech
- EndRed/Rech: 45.80% enhancement
- Resistance: 57.35% enhancement (68.98% before ED)

Currently the price is in-line with asking prices. Moreover it gives the buyer freedom to choose from among multiple items and any level they desire.
Speculation is just that. When it becomes reality, then I'll worry about it. I've been given "you're asking too much" as an argument before. It was irrelevant then, it's irrelevant now. If you don't want to pay that much for it. Kudos for you. You're one of the patient types and not the customer I'm looking for.Quote:with the recent price drop speculation, imo.
We'll see. If the pricing is lowered, I'll probably offer at a lower price. THEN.Quote:I personally foresee PVP uniques (Panacea, SW, Glad Armor) dropping down to around the 1 billion mark within a month as a standard selling price. -
So... This offer entices... nobody?

Quote:Hey all, before this sale runs out, I've gotta ask what's probably dumb question.
On the Paragon Market, there is a Precise Dual Inspiration (Large) x5, which is described as: "x5 - Large (+Acc/+Dam) Dual Inspiration.
Then there's also a Precise Imbuement Team Dual Insp (Large) x5, which is described as: "x5 - Large (+Acc/+Dam) Team Dual Inspiration.
My question is, do both of these inspirations convey the same individual bonus? If so, is there any reason to get the single-target inspiration versus the team one? I mean, if they have the same bonuses, the team one would be just as effective as the single-target one, right? Thus making it kind of pointless to get the single-target one, if the team one has the advantage of affecting everyone around you if you happen to be on a team?
Depending on price differential, and whether you're soloing or teaming, it may or may not make sense to just buy the solo one.
Basically:
-
The strategy will be:
- Attempt to zerg, die horribly and fail.
- Female Dog about it on the forums.
- Try something else, die horribly and fail.
- Female Dog about it on the forums.
- Repeat 3 and 4 until marginal success rate is achieved.

Quote:Like I said. I never had problems outside of looking for compatible drivers every now and again. It's been a long time since I've even had an actual XPx64 discussion, but basically it came out to something like trying to run games on a business laptop. It works great for IT stuff, but not multimedia. So in that respect more like NT4 than ME, but we don't discuss that particular M$FT mistake around these parts. ;-)
The install was rock solid and lasted several years before I had to reload due to an AV false-positive nuking GINA (the graphical login component for Windows). -
Well, I was looking for an excuse to go Win7 anyhoo right? Right?
-
Just got off an e-mail dialog with Gus, the guy who owns and runs TVTropes.
Apparently I'm not his first notice on this.
TVTropes will be switching ad providers on Monday. -
This is my first virus infection in over a decade (and the last one was due to my brother being an idiot on my computer). I'm incredibly not-happy about this.
-
Heads up kiddies. Apparent TVTropes' ad server isn't being terribly picky about the ads they serve. Over the last couple days I've gotten a couple infection attempts, and finally SOMETHING got my laptop.
As of right now I'm ceasing posting of TVTropes links, and you guys would do well to avoid this productivity virus, as you could pick up another type unknowingly. -
Honestly, I ran about 2 years on XP-64. Only hardware issues and one instance of my AV false-positive'ing my Windows logon files ever gave me problems. And when I reinstalled I just went Win7 because. Most of my clients were on it and a good chunk of the nastiness that was in Vista had been fixed or worked around by that time.

Quote:You can buy just the upgrade. But what you're going to wind up with, regardless of whether it's the full or upgrade version, is a clean install of Window7. The Windows 7 installer will basically move the entirety of your existing C:\ partition into a subdirectory and clean install over everything. If i have windows xp and i buy windows 7 do i have to buy the entire windows 7 or just upgrade?
sorry i know not the windows store but cant seem to find answer on their website
and i think game would play better on windows 7 =)
If you want to know how to do a clean install with upgrade media, head here: http://www.winsupersite.com/article/...-upgrade-media -
The boots and chest are organic armor.
The belt is barbarian.
The kilt is valkyrie
So about all that's needed are the chest detail, the gloves, and maybe the head details. -

-
Yeah, people looking to buy KinCombats for the 4-slot bonus are better off buying them individually too.
50 - Acc/Dam
70 - Dam/End
85 - Dam/Rech
113 - Triple
318
Set Cost: 400
Ah well, that's a few points I didn't need right? Right? -

Quote:He might be okay with it. You never know, after the first two or three kids, your brains are roughly the consistency of tapioca. So it might seem like a good idea for him.Any chance you could start on about a dozen more kids, so in six years I can run Underground trials with them? I'm hoping they can help me get the Preservation Specialist badge.
I'm sure Mrs. _Wyll_, the one who actually has to give birth to them, might have a few (or more than a few, depending on temperment) choice words to say about the proposition. -
Quote:Not quite as positive an example as yours, but this reminds me of a friend who taught his son how to play Quake2. We were online deathmatching and this little booger goes to town...ON EVERYONE AND THEIR BROTHER.I would love to see the other person's reaction if they knew the strategic flame blasting toon they were following was a ten year girl.
We had people screaming "bot!" all over the place. Laughingly, my buddy and I proceed to inform 12 other people that they just got their collective hiney handed to them BY AN EIGHT YEAR OLD KID.
LOL!Quote:7 years old, knows how to ace the Sewer trial. Wow. -
Whoa. No movement. Even on Black Friday.
DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! -
SHOULD give you 2 months. If you're unsure, contact support and have them check on it. At worst, they can refund the points.
