Quote:The trim and fabric texture is good but the folds and winkles not so much. To much realism in a world completely absent of showers isn't a good thing. : PSure. Not saying that this is in the queue or anything, but take a look at the tank top. Currently, it's a simple cut-out without any details. Now look at a real-world tank top (like this one http://www.undershirtguy.com/wp-cont...n-tank-top.jpg) and note the trim and stitching along the edges and bottom. Also note the subtle folds and even subtler fabric texture. These are things that could be improved in an updated texture. Would it still be a plain white tank top? Of course! But it'd be a lot more realistic and convincing.

Quote:A good ides since if I was going into a fight with a big metal arm I realy wouldn't what all the bright'n shiny distracting me or making me a bigger target.Good point. The Metallic set is something I'd like to deal with separately, but to weigh in really quickly: I agree that a certain look and feel is missing now, and we'd like to put that back for you but probably under a different name. I think 'new' Metallic is truer to the concept of an all-chrome character, but I understand that you'd like a mix-n-match plainer version as well. Totally understood.
You could use the terms Matte and glossy to differentiate them. Thin add simi-gloss and mirror finish versions if appropriate. -
Ever hear about an old video-game caricature named Boogerman. : P

Nah it's not that they don't realize that there giving away secrets it's just that they can bring themselves to believe that anybody of relevancy actually reads/pays attention to the forums. As they have gotten far to used to anyone and every being summarily ignored by the relevant individuals of other forums. So in that regard you can't realy blame them.

Quote:How about a theme park. "Riki World" Run by actual Riki. : PMore interior ideas:
- an indoor hockey rink! with the added bonus of sliding around
- an indoor soccer or football rink!
(Both of the above could be accessed via assigned missions through doors in the PVP arenas. Perhaps via a newspaper or radio mission.)
- more buildings similar to the interior for the Frostfire mission, taken over by fire, ice, or even giant plants. Maybe even one taken over by ghosts or Giger-esque aliens! -
Don't worry every things indestructible just like every thing from the crates in warehouses to all the windows in the city.
-
What about subways. It could be good for transportattion and ocasional random event. Atack of the subway mutant. Or bash the skulls on the way to where ever. We could have missions that start in the subway cars enter the tunnels and end at Nobal Savages secret underground layer.

Quote:Really? Do you know if the third or fourth tier's are being allowed in yet?If this project was as big as they hyped, I'd hope by this point that pretty much everyone in the "waves" would be in, given the release date and their typical week of Open Beta(which given that this is an expansion and not an issue, should really be longer). I have a large enough sample of people who I know are and aren't in the beta at present to say that's not the case.
In other words, all I need to know at this point about the size of the CB is that it's 'not big enough' to support the hype and what people were expecting of GR. Either it's going to be the most untested, bug-ridden release they've had yet or the expansion is way smalller than anyone expected, which isn't too far fetched given the announcement this thread is about.
Either way, I've got popcorn to watch the fireworks.
Cheers.

Quote:Personally i have a little problem figuring out what aria to go to next and when. I know there are a dozen guides I could look at but having the level ranges on the map or some kind of in game players guide would be nice. Like something you could check out in Paragons public library. Or Lord Recluses' secret archives.I'm not bored with the game. But I do feel extremely constrained when starting a new villain. The progression through the zones is completely linear: Mercy - Port Oakes - Cap Au Diable - Sharkshead - Nerva or St. Martial, then St. Martial - Grandville.
It's only when you get past Sharkshead that the choices vary even a little, and that range just gives you a choice between Nerva or St. Martial.
And Sharkshead has a serious problem on the most populated servers. It is the one zone that is likely to have terrible problems; terrible lag, horrible rubber banding, and complete zone crashes happen more frequently with Sharkshead than they do with any other zone in the game.
Meanwhile, Paragon City has something of the opposite problem: There's too much City. Boomtown is an empty wasteland and one of the largest zones in the game, as one example. On the bright side, there are still parts of it I haven't seen in four years of play. On the downside, half of the contacts send me on extravagant and unnecessary tours of the city; "Go talk to this guy a couple zones away, who will send you to talk to that guy clear across the city, who will send you to Azuria, who will tell you to come back to me".
The starter zones on both sides need a revamp, but not a collapse into forcing everyone into Atlas Park. Instead, I'd like to see a second line of zones to go through in the Isles, a little more diversity, and yes, lighten parts of it up. The isles might be under sanction by the USA, but not necessarily the rest of the world. It has a tourist destination in St. Martial and the other casinos; clean and fix that area up. Start rebuilding or at least cleaning up parts of Mercy; five years is a LONG time for those debris piles to keep burning. -
Quote:The I seem to remember hearing that original telaport power let you drop anywhere you wanted on a map but It was quickly changed because of so many players getting stuck. So, what about a new version that had a number of drop points all over the map. This would be really cool then bring in the city busses so you could ride to a different intersection.
I would also like to be able to input coordinates some where and have it set a waypoint or thumb tack in that location to make navigating easier.
Or recreate the original version only drop them some distance over the map that could clear the outdoor problems not much to get stuck in way up there. And disable it on the inside maps. -

Quote:That being said it is dificult finding a presice location on the map. That /loc works but is still hard to use. Something more like this would be nice.Sounds cool for sure, but would be a very unlikely addition. Lot of work for relatively little gain. You can achieve much the same effect by saying 'hey, north of the TPN campus.'
Using sliders or just typing in the location numbers to create a custom thumbtack location. -
Quote:Amusement park???Three things I'd like to see (which may already have been mentioned):
Shopping mall(s)
Amusement Park(s)
Sports Stadia (baseball, football, hockey/basketball - as the largest city in America, PC should have several pro sports teams)
All at least enterable, and maybe the Amusement Park(s) could be entirely new zones - a rundown, abandonded Park in the RI and an active one in PC.
Welcome to the extradementional "Hero World" created with the help of Lord recluse and citizens like you.
Put it in the same aria space as Pocket D. -
Quote:That idea has a whole lot of potential to create a whole host of non humanoid smashys. Attack of the radioactive, skeletons, Zombie, and/or cyborgs dinosaurs, and/or mammoths saber tooth tigers and dinosaurs. Haunted/possessed cars and planes. Things that are bigger than humans but not GM sized. The idea of a museum interior has definitely come up, and we love the idea.
Think "Night at the Museum" meets EVIL. Add a little Riki flora and fauna a little ouroboros/broken time action and you realy have something.
Various reality and times blending into each other letting those that haven't paid for rouge yet get little glimpses into that world the Riki's and countless others (Well maybe not countless but having hints for what might be.).
Knights vs Samari. Cowboy VS Ninja. T-rex VS. Noah. Releasing something like that would make for a killer Halloween event.
So much potential is something like that a chance for some real chaos. Ad a whole host of NPCs not just ordinary ones but randomly generated hero's and villains. Even the return of your extra dimensional doppelganger from a dimension where you are the one that died. : D -

I don't mind it not being released whine going rouge goes live. I do however mind if i'm not going to get to see it in the closed beta.
-
Ha haha ha ha ha ha.
Snicker sorry but that struck me as enormously funny.
Make me wonder why we don't have that problem here though. -
This is probably an update for going rouge. It wouldn't show up for those of us that aren't in the test.

Quote:Incarnates=personifications=avatars.I am *so* happy that this is one of the questions answered, because that means even though "Well of the Furies = Incarnates", it doesn't mean "ONLY Well of the Furies = Incarnates", which means characters are not railroaded down a single story path. Kudos, devs! (Also, thanks for answering my question
)
So it's like Marvel's Phoenix and maybe the hulk. And DC's Specter and Ion.
Even the Sins and Virtue's from www.sincomics.com.

Quote:It's not unless you think you can make a kung-fu kick with a tread. Not strictly impossible but I wouldn't want to try animating it. Or even drawing it. Heck, just thinking about trying to make it work makes my head hurt.Friendly reminder: just because there's no specific post responding to a particular request doesn't mean that we're ignoring you. Quite the contrary, actually. Internally, this thread has been noted from top to bottom, put into a spreadsheet, and a number of things are in the pipeline as we speak.
However, new releases won't be announced until they're ready for Beta. You'll just have to stayed tuned.
About this particular request though: I like the idea, but it would be a massive undertaking. Not sure it's feasible because it might potentially require new animations across all categories of movement.
Now something like treaded roller-skates that might work. Might have to tweak the code to allow for the extra height from the roller... treaderskates. Maby add a new animation for running.
Or maby combo it with a booster and an appropriate variation on the super speed animation. Add regular rollerskates, roller blades, hover boots, and ice skates might be good.
Maby even a whole travel power booster pack.
With jet packs. E wings. Feral run. Super swim (so tiered of that dodgy paddle.) And allow for the running (not standing) on water.
Edit: Now that I think about it you could to it if you make it a transformation. One that locks out all but it's SS effect. Like a SS walk. But you'd have to add skateboard, hover skateboard, hover surfboard, mono wheal, mono cycle, and that motorcycle that everybody's bin bugging about. Just make sure you have Cruiser, Sport bike, Off Road and futuristic ones.
