None have actually shown up in-game so far; they're just listed on the market. The Winter's Gift universal travel IO set also showed up on the Market long before the Winter Event launched last year. It's probably just an Oops.
-
Just to be perfectly clear, if you buy the GvE edition ($20) and then later decide you want one of the goodies from another edition, you can either buy the goodies separately ($10) or buy the edition of the game that they come with and get a month's playtime included ($20 for $10 worth of goodies and $15 worth of subscription time).
Also, be ware of buying anything "used". The game code that comes with the package is only usable once. So if someone bought it, used the code to activate their account, and is now selling the box and disks, you would just be buying the install disks but not the ability to create an account.
Welcome to the Game. -
You'll get better responses asking in the Scrapper subsection of the forums.

No, you just rephrased the same question over and over and expected a different answer if you asked it enough times.

You would think that if something is bugged/broken 4-5 times, that should be the very first thing the dev tests for BEFORE the patch hits Live? I know if it's my company, I would!
[/ QUOTE ]
And you'd be right. They did test it. It broke in new ways each time. Sometimes it wasn't the Black Scorpion power itself that had something wrong with it, but the Unbreakable power it was supposed to work against that had changed. *end of patience*
[ QUOTE ]
Right now, I am not even sure if MM's temp is supposed to bring him out of Unaffected or supposed to cause a lot of -regen on him so he doesn't regen that much during that Unaffected period.
[/ QUOTE ]
Right now, it's broken. Get over it.
[ QUOTE ]
If he is Unaffected, can MM's power even "hit" him? So maybe MM's power is working as intended even though I don't know what MM's power actually does.
[/ QUOTE ]
Seriously, get over it. -
[ QUOTE ]
Reports are mixed, but part of the problem may be that the Mastermind power may be a melee-range PBAoE. Try standing right next to Reichsman to trigger it.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, it's not. It really is honestly just broken. Also, the current version is supposed to prevent Reichsman from activating his Unbreakable power, not strip him of it.
The person who reported it "worked in melee range" had two MMs on the team and "had it remove the Unaffected status after a dealy of a few seconds when the second MM used it in melee range". In other words, they used it close to the end of Unbreakable's short duration. -
One of the Doms was Thorns, one Psi. Twilight's Grasp does have -Regen, but again it's not much compared to several thousand percent and can't be applied during Unbreakable when it matters. You're trying too hard to find a magic solution here. Bring lots of gun and he goes down.

As a minor point, can we get a bit more backstory in the Schadenfreude's bio about who this character is? My initial impression was that he was the Axis Earth version of Nosferatu, but that's just a guess.
[/ QUOTE ]
It says in his bio that he stayed with the Column when the Center made his move, and rose up through the ranks in the ensuing power gap.
[/ QUOTE ]
We've read this, but you'd think someone identical to Nosferatu would have been noticed before now. He just feels shoved in.
It would be much cooler if he was the Axis America version of Nosy, and is helping the 5th (or a renegade faction of the 5th fed up with Requiem's interest in personal power over the ideals of the Third Reich) and the Reichsman by developing his crazy alternate Marcus Cole power sucking device.
[/ QUOTE ]
Having him be from Earth Prime and loyal to Reichsman runs into all the Requiem/Axis America/Frozen Reichsman continuity errors from before as well. -

So we weren't doing enough damage then? Does he have a lot of resistance to -resist debuff? I mean we had two sonic blast and we had 3 World of Pains and I run 2 Assault toggles. I thought our damage was pretty good until he turns into Unaffected.
I guess -regen like poison trap or drained psyche are helpful if you hit him right before he turns into Unaffected so he regens less? Those -regen effect lasts 30s?
I mean we got him down to about 40% and then he regen back to about 80% and then the cycle continued and we just got so tired of it.
[/ QUOTE ]
He's got over 200K hp and during the Unaffected period he gets several thousand percent Regen.
[/ QUOTE ]
So basically, right now you need a lot of -regen to be able to kill him because I can't think of other ways to kill him even with a lot of damage buff. I mean FS needs some foes (not that much damage buff with just him alone) to get to max. damage but even that I doubt you can kill him with his unaffected and regen. You need -regen so he regens less and you can eventually kill him?
[/ QUOTE ]
He actually has pretty meager regen most of the time; if he had the regular regen rate on top of 200K hp he'd be ridiculous in all situations. The several-thousand % regen comes in during his Unaffected period. Since he's Unaffected, you can't add more -Regen.
The team I did it with here on Live had:
2 Brutes
1 Crab
1 Fortunata
1 Stalker
2 Dominators
1 Corr ( /Dark) -

Just one little additional comment because I've said plenty about canon and the TF already: the original Axis America troops looked like this and they aren't in the game any more. The unlockable Axis America critters in the Mission Architect are wrong. They're just the Council Empire models, with human faces instead of Fifth Column masks.
Please bring back Original Flavour Axis America.
[/ QUOTE ]
The original Axis America mobs dont have a lot of variety to them theres basically four minions (the rifle, rocket, grenade, and flamethrower), one lieutenant, and one boss in the group. Thats not enough variety to provide interesting encounters for an entire story arc. While it would have been very cool to use them, we didnt have the resources available to expand the group in a way that would let us use them for the missions.
Id like to see the original Axis America troops available in Mission Architect, and Ill look into that. No promises, but if we can make it happen, Ill try to see that it does.

Can you not use the 5th Column enemies and reskin them with those costume models? -

Oooooo! I didn't even know those guys existed. They look great. Yes, I would very much like to see those character models used amongst the Warwolves and robots in the mission to Reichsman's home dimension. -

Except it's Temperature Protection we're talking about here. The enhancement % is irrelevent because it caps Fire resist unslotted I believe. If you have the extra slots it's a good deal.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's exactly what I'm saying; if you put that slot somewhere else, making a 4 slot 5 or such, you likely get a much more beneficial set bonus/enh% than the 1.5% HP buff. -

The fonts are Psi damage EBs; they're tough. If you don't know, you can use 4 small, 2 medium, or 1 large and 1 small purple insp to floor an enemy's chance to hit you for 60 sec. That should help a bit.
Also be aware that you will have one more AV/EB after Calystix and the Fonts are down. This is actually one of the harder missions in the game to solo. -
[ QUOTE ]
3 slot temp protection and put an entire set of steadfast in. also put a karma: kb io in combat jumping and 3 slot super jump and put in a nentire set of blessing of the zephyr. that will be 12 points of kb prtection which is more then enough for anything.
[/ QUOTE ]
You can probably get better set bonuses for those two extra slots of Steadfast; at most I'd say get the Res/+3% Def to pair with the Knockback IO if you want. The Res/End piece with minor +HP set bonus just shorts you on Enh%. -
[ QUOTE ]
We took him down to about 50%, he turned into "unaffected". One of the teammates said MM's temp power is supposed to bring him out of Affected stage or reduce his regen or whatever. Anyway, we've tried many times but MM's temp wasn't doing !@#$.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's because it's broken right now. It's already fixed internally but didn't make it through channels into the last release version. It should be Live this week sometime.
[ QUOTE ]
We had tons of resistance debuff to take him down but we had no -regen debuff. Is that the reason why he regen so much?
So you MUST have -regen debuff for this SF?? I mean I can't see any other way to beat him besides -regen debuff after he turns into Affected.
[/ QUOTE ]
Once he's Unaffected you *can't* -Regen debuff him and he gets several thousand % regen during the Unaffected period. What you needed was more gun than your team brought. If you want to beat it right now, look into damage-capping the team and beating him down between his Unaffected periods.
[ QUOTE ]
And who else gets what MM has?? Midnight Kiss??? And why does Widow get that awful endurance drain thing? Drain who?? The ambushes?? I tried draining the boss and it did nothing... his endurance bar never moved.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's not Endurance Drain, it's Endurance Drain Resistance (says so right in the info). It protects you from the massive End Drain of Reichsman's PBAoE Aura. -
You can either get a Steadfast Protection Knockback IO and put it in one of your Resistance powers, or get a Blessing of the Zephyr Knockback IO and put it in Super Jump. If you have Combat Jumping, Karma Knockback is another option. If you don't want to use Merits, Blessing of the Zephyr will be your most expensive and hardest to find option; especially for lower-level IOs.
If money isn't an object and you have a lv50 character, you can look into the perma-Set Bonuses of the new PVP sets; many of which have Knockback protection as an early set bonus.
One Knockback Protection IO should be good enough for most applications in PVE. Two will cover all but very few things. -
As a minor point, can we get a bit more backstory in the Schadenfreude's bio about who this character is? My initial impression was that he was the Axis Earth version of Nosferatu, but that's just a guess.

Now, I concur to the above suggestion: We need an Horatio character in game. I imagine a villain that want to appear sophisticated and only speaks through Shakespeare quotes. Bonus point if he mangles them too.
[/ QUOTE ]
Now see I immediately thought of Horatio Hornblower. -
[ QUOTE ]
Surprisingly, the Mastermind temp power actually worked! It was still a slugfest at the end, though, working through all of Reichsman's HP. We did it, though, and I'll show you my Arbiter badge if you want proof.
[/ QUOTE ]
....
Okay, I believe you - I know you know what that looks from when it actually worked on Test. But can you give a bit more detail? -
[ QUOTE ]
My big issue with this and most of the other task forces is that if your not the group leader, you don't get any of the story!
[/ QUOTE ]
You don't have the team leader copy/paste the story text into Team Chat? Get better teammates.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Switching voices, I am aware of the canon issues with the story. The problems are purely my fault; when I came up with the original flow for the story I was under some mistaken impressions on some events in the games history. While I did make some adjustments to the story due to the feedback from the training room, I didnt get all the details nailed down as best I could. Due to a tight translation deadline, I was unable to get final text passes into the build that was going to the Live servers, but rest assured Ill be doing my best to address them over the next week or so to bring the story of Reichsmans return in line with the existing history of the 5th Column.
[/ QUOTE ]
I just want to say here that Mr Harlick is being quite modest. The current version of the SF story, informed by player feedback in the Beta, is radically re-written from the original one. I was frankly astonished by how much changed. This was a ton of work and writing flexibility.
[ QUOTE ]
On the villain side of things, our intent was to try to do something a bit different for the end fight. As has been previously stated, we wanted to do a gadget fight; something that was more than just hit the bad guy until he fell over. And we wanted to encourage teams to include different ATs, to help shake up some standard team compositions. Certainly, the end fight is more difficult without having each of the appropriate ATs on the team, but it is still doable. Each of the temp powers is intended to make stages of the fight easier. There is no one golden solution to solving the fight; by including some or all of the ATs that can take advantage of the various temp powers, you can approach this battle using different tactics.
[/ QUOTE ]
As feedback I must once again disagree with the Temps being tied to given ATs. It is not that the Temps make the fight possible or impossible, it is that they make it more interesting. Limiting the Temps to specific ATs limits what players can try or how they can experiment with the encounter.
It also makes forming a team, or finding a team being formed, far more difficult. Now rather than my normal mantra of "bring whatever character you most want to play", I have to ask SG-mates "could you please break out that other character you have instead of the one you most favor which you are currently on?"
Please consider revising this. -

Are you sure about those? From others' comments, it seems Mako's power is supposed to get you past the laser doors, and the glowies are what kills the 5th Column. I remember the Corruptor on our team dragged the Scirocco power to chat, and the description I recall only mentioned damage, and being more effective against restrained foes (just like the sand devils, tornado, and water spout actually are)
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm going by my interpretation of what other players and misremebering what Castle posted on the I15 test boards, and my runs of the BSF. I guess my impressions of the Failsafe Backup were wrong. I though the consoles are what triggered it.
[/ QUOTE ]
You're not misremembering, they just added the laser doors and moved the consoles behind them.
Too many people were wandering over to play with the consoles.
