I don't see that happening...making a cold/cold dom controller would be pretty ridiculous. I guess we can cross our fingers tho
-
not sure if melee defense is the way to go, but other then that, it looks solid..you might put a Lyso in Gleaming Bolt and a stealth IO in sprint
-
Looks fine. I think Combat Jumping would be more useful than a one slotted Total Focus :P
and after this latest patch, does FF+chance for rech proc still work in pets? -
I wouldn't use hotfeet for this build.
for teaming, I'd prolly do somthing like this..

i wouldn't use plant or grav in pvp.. altho i love trying to make things like that work
and just for the fun of it, here's a random grav/rad

and a random plant/storm

few people keep saying Force Bubble doesnt use much endurance, not sure how you figure that...its alot more then Dispersion Bubble..
to the OP, I know you've already started a defender, but it seems like a troller would be better so you can get Indomitable Will...sure the bubbles will provide less defence..but with Indom Will you'll be detoggled (surpressed) less..
and i wouldn't worry about your damage output..just keeping the bubble up :P -
I modified a few things on your build, I only had a few minutes (at work) to look at it..

hardeen not dun: Level 50 Magic Controller

don't forget regarding global bonuses...you have 1.88% max hp 9 times....anything after 5 won't count..you also have 2.5% recov 8 times..
i see alot of powers you went for the 1.88% max hp..i do this also..but keep track of how many times you do it
also, when going for max hp...I don't see the point in going out of yer way to get a measly 1.13% max hp..sure it all add's up, but in hover you used 2 slots for this reason only..not worth it imo..
you put 2 Energy Manip's in Thunder Storm...imo 2 thunderstrikes or some HO's would be of more use -
2 lockdowns for the 3% damage and maybe a 2nd Unbreakable for the 4% recov?
-
if you haven't already made the toon..i would say make his origin Science...you can buy lvl 13, 17, 21 Single Origin recharge enhancements from Mr. Yin's store in Faultline (unlockable)
this way you could 3 slot AM and Hasten with 96% rech at lvl 10.
now if you don't have Mr. Yin's store unlocked on any of your toons and you decide to run through the faultline arcs (6-8 missions?) you will prolly end up being lvl 16+ before you unlock the store...
but i'd recommend unlocking it on one of your toons, cause you can simply transfer enhancements via WW's or a buddy for any future toons
Mr Yin only sells one type of SO to each Origin..here's a fancy list
[u] Origin-----Type of enhancement sold[u]
Mutant-------Damage SO
Natural-------Damage SO
Technology---Endurance Reduction SO
Science-------Recharge SO
Magic---------Accuracy SO

You might mention that you're Empathy in your comments (this might help) OR if you've always had this in your comments you might remove it :P
and on a side note..
--It'd be nice if we could /search for "Teams looking for more"..
if a leader's name is Red Fist..then your search could come up like "Team Red Fist looking for 3: any AT, lvl 15-20 pls"
of course Red Fist would have to change the team's "status" to "seeking more" and add a few note's i.e. lvl prefer'd, AT prefer'd, forming TF etc.
or maybe on the search list you could have a list of toons lft even with that particular toon offline! Any tells to that offline toon would go to the global of the person looking (the /tell sent to your global could mention that this tell is being forwarded from $name...)
--I've got 35 toons on Champion, at any given moment I would be interested in listing at least 5 of them "looking for any" and 5 looking for a specific TF, and 5 looking for specific badges.. -
--ever see Stone Cages or Stalagmite's on a GM or Monster? the animation is huge!...That might be a cool tier9 stone blast attack, just have one giant "stalamite looking" spear thingy blast up out of the ground (with a high mag knock-up of course) :P
--hmm, cant think of any other animations besides Hurl Boulder..maybe you could just throw chucks of your body at something (the parts would regenerate as long as your grounded)..idk sounds like a really slow blast set
--earth manipulation as a blaster secondary would be straight forward..wouldn't even need new animations... -
--my vote is grav/rad or second grav/kin..
--i also have a grav/storm which i lost interest in at lvl 23..im sure its great at higher lvl's
--my grav/FF recently got 50, it took forrreverr
anyways grav/rad seems more offensive to me..and better if you have to solo.. -
I bet elec/* is the most "non-played"..As for a secondary, maybe elec/mental, elec/device's, elec/cold?
elec/cold would work pretty good actually, with the control of Ice Patch allowing you to end drain mobs with more safety..
altho, ive never been a fan of end drain in PvE. -

And DPS is key, so sometimes, (and in most cases) Multiples procs arent as efficient as a IO set in that power.
[/ QUOTE ]
The best rule of thumb is low damage single-target and low to mid damage cones.......

heh, everytime i hear "rule of thumb" i think of Boondock Saints

What else can people come up with?
[/ QUOTE ]
--Karma: Knockback protection's dont seem to add up
i slotted 5 (experiment) which should equal 20 KB protection
instead, Combat Stat's show's 8 protection AND about every 9 seconds the 8 will "flash" 12 then go right back to 8..
i haven't tested this on other toons and i haven't tried stacking Steadfast KB protections past 2
--on a separate note, while in RV my KB protection [which normally is 29 (5karma's + Acro)] drop's to 5~6ish...i'm assuming this has to do with Diminishing Returns.. -
although, i have 5 karma's slotted in my emp, and Combat Attributes only counts 2 of them! I wish this was corrected, problem is people dont slot that much protection so there's no one to complain to the dev's :..(

not to mention that going through a loading screen double stacks the uniques for 2 minutes so thats another 45-90%
so including all that your total +regen just from health can possibly add up to +272% for a few minutes
[/ QUOTE ]
i knew this worked for sheilds n such..never occured to me it'd work with the heal uniques :O..
so i could enter a mission (double stacked regen), pop a O-portal to Ouroborus (triple stacked regen), use mission tp'er (quadruple stacked regen), then enter my mish again (quintiple stacked regen)?! whoa i have to go test this..
or have 10 buddies pop their O-Portals and go back n forth oroborus/talos/oroborus/talos etc. Really no reason to do this, unless your solo'ing a AV on a squishy or just bored -

i'm pondering trying out an assault rifle/devices blaster
[/ QUOTE ]
If you've already played the other blaster secondaries, devices offers something different. It manages to keep me interested because of this.
If you're new to blasters, I'd stick to the others for the first taste. Devices will still be there if you ever feel burned out and need something unique to keep you interested.
[/ QUOTE ]
on the other hand..if you've never played blasters..then you wont be disappointed by the poor damage of a AR/devices
i have a 50 fire/devices which i dont play much cause he's spec'd for WB..but its ok
also have a 50 AR/em which is surprisingly strong. Boost range with Flame Thrower and Full Auto = very nice
if i was to recommend a primary for devices i'd prolly choose fire/ice/sonic before AR..of course play whatever interests you.. -
[ QUOTE ]
Ah very cool, definitely worth getting then.
[/ QUOTE ]
you might check the prices :P -
lol I drive by a park otw to work that has a plaque...everytime I see it, I want to "fly" over to it :P
also hate it when i try to adjust the PoV of a screen shot.. -
well, I'll state the obvious
you'll want to max the recharge on AM and Hasten asap..so between the 2 of you, you should have AM up most the time
what lvl are you?
you'll want to slot heavy end reduction in Radiation Infection..
lets see what else..
I usually plan builds off what Mr. Yin's store (in faultline) sells in the way of Single Origin enhancements..
So if you and your buddy are Science origin, you can get lvl13 recharge SO's at lvl 10 (which would be great for 2 rads)..
--Mr. Yin's store has to be unlocked by doing a story arc, but you could buy them from WW's if any are available, or you could have a different toon finish the arc and transfer them to your lower builds etc..
--Mr.Yins sells lvl 13, lvl 17 and lvl 21 SO's, but only one type per origin..here's a breakdown.
Natural origin -- Damage SO's
Mutant origin -- Damage SO's
Science origin -- Recharge SO's
Technology origin -- End Reduction SO's
Magic origin -- Accuracy SO's
If you guys are lvl 22 or higher..then just forget what i said about Mr. Yin's
remember "shop smart" "shop S - Mart" .. and Mr. Yins! -
its been said many time's but..
Awesome!
lets have a robot/mech giant thing contest! post your pics here! -
Nice guide. Dark Maisma is my favorite, it actually makes the game too easy tho
so strong..
In regards to Twilight Grasp, i've never used more then one Acc.. My i11 build has one Lyso and 5 DocWounds, but TBH with all the acc debuffs in your arsenal, you wont even need Twilight's Grasp..
I find that I rarely have to use it, because the mobs are neutered right off the bat with Howling Twilight or Fearsome Stare.
Dark Miasma is too strong and I'm serious about how it makes the game too easy, so bring your Dark to the 8 man invincible Carnie + Malta + Nemesis missions..
