  1. Of course... it's not really art in the sense of drawing or painting or rendering or, well, anything that takes a significant amount of talent, but last night I got the urge to make my wife and I header images for a couple of our pages at The Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe, and I was having so much fun, I just kept making them. I'm up to six now, and maybe more to come later, but I was kinda happy with how they turned out so I thought I'd post them here.

If you'd like to see them, check them out here . Critiques and comments welcome.
  2. Whatever you do, don't draw this guy...

    Zenvious

He would definitely disapprove of the culture represented by the link in your sig.

Seriously, though. Someone was offended by a bunch of Transformers and l33tsp34k? Talk about overly sensitive. And how does that apply to your skill as an artist?
  3. Hero Prime

    meh.......FRAPS

Best way to take out the UI is to record your session using the game's DEMORECORD session, then use FRAPS to record the playback of said session.

    Looking good, though.
  4. $15.73.

I didn't think that was so bad.
  5. Sorry about that, guys. That was the gallery at our SG site, and I didn't realize I had it set to need an account to access the pages in it. I've fixed the link so that it goes directly to the image. Lemme know if that works for you.
  6. ... but you come here and see all the art other people are having done, wish you could do something of similar quality, but know that you simply lack the talent (whether natural or trained), it's nice to happen upon little things that help you make nifty little art-like images out of your screenshots.

I grabbed The Digital Art Shop's "Sketcher" plugin for Photoshop, and found it to be a fun little toy. While it isn't perfect for screenshots - it accentuates jaggies if you don't have FSAA turned up - it makes for a fun way to design sketches of your characters.

Here's one I did this morning of my character, Mr. Protagonist. Sure, it's obvious it was a screenie, but I'm happy with how it turned out, all in all.
  7. w00t and stuff! Happy B-Day!
  8. I'm looking for the name Flutterfly if anyone knows who's got it.
  9. The Zenvious Foundation...

We are a small, privately funded academy and research center located in the heart of Paragon City, dedicated to the eduction of our fair city's brightest stars.

These young ones, whether they be hyper-intelligent or possessed of super strength - whatever their unique abilities may be - are the future not only of Paragon City, but the world. They are stalwart and true and prepared to take on the calling of real heroes. They show great strength of character and, with minds unjaded by the frustrations of adulthood, have proven their mettle time and again.

It is an honor, as head of the Foundation, to open our doors to these young sentinels, and to provide for them not only a place to learn and to grow, but a place for them to feel at home, to feel as though they are not alone. We have, in them, the opportunity to train up a new generation of superheroes who can grow up unashamed of their abilities and gifts, and able, thus, to reach their full potential.

But the training of our young heroes is not the only function of the Foundation. Indeed, we house an advanced reseach center, focused on such subjects as the hybridization of magic and technology, then duality of Kheldian humans, and interdimensional travel. We work hand-in-hand with organizations such as Portal Corp., in an effort to assure that beneficial results of our research are made available to those in need.

We have been part of some rather amazing breakthroughs, including the recent discovery of an alternate Earth, a world devoid of sentient life. After exploration and cataloging, we believe that this alternate world could be used for its rich farming land in order to provide our own world with abundant food resources which can be made available to the destitute peoples of less fortunate nations.

We also assist in the funding of a less constrictive group known as The Tomorrow Project, an organization of fine heroes with amazing talents and a drive to keep Paragon City and the world safe from those who threaten it.

If you are interested in finding out more about The Zenvious Foundation or The Tomorrow Project and the work we do, feel free to contact me directly. or visit our website at www.zenvious.com. Thank you for your time.
  10. Welcome to the Zenvious Foundation Adminstrative and Student Center.

This is a shoestring budget base for a small supergroup on Virtue, and since we are a group of roleplayers, the base had to be both functional and designed for RP use.

As you can see, we're not completely functional, but we're doing pretty well. Here is a good Overhead View of our facility. We can start the tour in the Entry Room (alternatve view), through which we can reach the main hall. I chose an Oversight Center for the main center because of its cost and functionality - it could be used to build non-functional roleplaying areas, such as the Student Center - which is devided into a TV Room and a Soda Bar - and a functional area that houses the Control/Energy combo item and our enhancements tabs.

Around the corner is our medbay, adjacent to which si a sitting room. Then comes our teleport bay. On the other side of the base is the Control Room (and associated Admin Center), with the haphazard energy room around the corner. (No pics for that one, as it's just not pretty.) And finally, we come to our lowly workshop - which is unpopulated right now and only serves as an entry into the Foundation's Restrooms. *grin*
