I like contest where we get to be creative for you. There was a contest for an up and coming artist to see if we could creat a bio in three sentances that most closely matched her actual bio. So, names from a hat will work, but designing a new hat would be cool.

something like that sounds good, a creative contest would fit the arts section. something like you write up a character's bio and we design a costume to match, or vice versa, you design a costume ,we come up with a bio. could benefit you as well if there's either a background story that you haven't found the right look to match or vice versa. Either that of you're just curious what we'd come up with for either a bio or character, in comparison to your own idea(s).

drawing names out of a hat works too if that's what you feel like it. you're the one doing the free art.

True, they're helpful to even non-squishies, but it's also good to keep in mind that on two of the challenge settings, No Temp powers and only AT powers, you won't have access to Shivans.

I slightly miss them as well. I got whatever degree of creativity I have from a RP focused MUD (still had the usual hunt and level deal, but RP affected the zones and makeup of the MUDworld) and a Transformers MUSH.

When I heard about COH and how one could literally create ones own hero and then possibly write their life deeds, backstory, I was hooked. Many may not know the backstory of what I've written to tie my heroes and villains, unless they check out my now horribly non-updated website, but I know their story, and that to me what adds to make CoX fun, and that I took from MU*ing

Mender Silos' TF is pretty soloable. Although I did it on a Tank set to heroic. The first 3 mishes you always have Manticore as a pet, although he does run off on his own sometimes. And mission 4 you have Liberty, Swan and Mynx. Which are enough to take down Manticore.
On the 5th mission, the more heroes you have helping out on the jade spider the better, as it's damage will both be deadly to you and them. YMMV of course, depending if you have any buffs or debuffs. I found it easiest to be able to keep most or all the heroes alive is by scouting out the map first. and then plan out who to get first, based on who was by themselves, where they are on the map and what travel powers they have. Due to the heroes possibility of falling, all of them are pretty much Boss class, aside from Citadel, I'd bring a Shivan or HVAS along for the ride, or both, jsut in case.

That DoT of Doom as well as the second method, PA, SS, then FR sounds awesome. I haven't had a chance to try either yet, but I'm slowly getting to the powers I need to try it. I'm at level 19 and thinking about how to try Doc Vahz solo, I was gonna try him as an AV, but noticing how much end hit I get with summoning PA and FR I think I'll try just as an EB, but I've already started to work in the PA, then FR tactic, and atm I use deceive, blind, and spec wounds to support. I don't have the other storm powers yet, working in on the power pools, speed, stamina and flight, and then I'll build up the secondaries. but using Pa and able to rest during the fight as well as resting after every other fight or so, due to how long some fights take are magical. It's wonderful to have both deceive to suddenly have a semi powerful or powerful ally to help out as well as aggro in the PA. I dunno how I'll fair against Doc Vahz yet but fighting all the other bosses I've had trouble with on other sets haven't caused problems, and I at least wanna try out the Doc knowing the only thing that's been an issue so far has been end. So far holds, confuse and PA have given me time enough to rest during fights to recover the end I need to keep going.

Tal_N, wow, very amazing guide, I just recently rolled up am ill/storm and found that I'm nearly following your guide already, but found a few tips I didn't think of, pve tips, slotting, how to use certain powers, etc. Thank you, awesome guide!

Gratz Beef! That's totally cool to get written into the story directly. I've got an unnamed background cameo for my main. But getting a line in the comic... immortalized forever.

17-19 are out in print, with 19 just released this past Wednesday. The digital versions aren't always up at the same time they get released in stores, but its forgivable. You can also subscribe to the comic, so it's mailed to you. That also seems to be hit and miss of when you get it compared to when it's out i shops but it's usually within a month or so, if not a week

Yup, there's one called Guardian. A lot of us use it as a chat channel and some of us can get a little silly, but its the channel that has been very helpful for badge whores, as well as reporting events happening (fires, troll raves, monster sightings) as well as a place to look for people for TFs/Trials as well as general mission help. Need those people to get those simultaneous clickies? Ask on Guardian. Getting killed by a certain AV. Ask on Guardian. The regulars are very friendly there. Most of us have multiple alts and will help in most situations if possible, even if it doesn't benefit us any. Many will usually broadcast badge missions (spelunker, doctor's ally, negotiator) for those that need those to rise in badge [censored] ranks.
