*plucks a bath and shower out of a dollhouse bathroom*
will this work? :P -
Holy damn... love the coloring.... especially the eyes.
-
probably the costume threads Warface heh.
And yup, that helmet and skirt, with the leather flaps above the cloth material are exactly what was depicted in the Lady D greek soldier pic. Thanx Djeannie. I'm willing to wait for the costume sets. I jsut realized that I was going to put it on my stalker anyway, which is the last of my 5 villains I'm planning on working on, and she's only 12 atm so I won't have the slot open for her Lady d look soon, just wanted costume ideas. -
nice I just was looking at the Dark Lilac piece while looking through his commissioned work... that's totally awesome, he did that duo piece well. Gratz!
-
That and aren't our CoX characters technically copyrighted to NCsoft so if it were a problem commissioning other characters from Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse, etc. even our characters would fall under that issue?
-
heh I was gonna say the same thing Rook. very NeoPet-ish
-
I don't have the comic with me atm, since I'm at work, but from memory they have Lady D with the silver helm with red plume, a metal bustier like top, a sword that looked fairly close to a Greek Hoplite, the forementioned shield with an uppercase Lambda, I wanna say silver with golden highlights, the skirt I cant' remember too much details of, but was a standard classic ancient skirt with the metal waist that looked fairly soldier fitting.
had a standard building with the columns and arched roof behind help -
sweet!, der... I didn't think to use the metal fin thingie with red trim. the closest I could find was the mohawk fin, but that wasn't available with the helmets.
Yeah the body and skirt and such I already have an idea for. In the comic it had the base look for a Roman soldier but quite modified to fit Lady Death, even has her holding a shield with... a Greek letter Lambda.. oh hell... It's a Greek soldier... D'OH!
Oh well.. they still have the helmet and plume, jsut different details. *needs to pay attention to details more...*
Thanx again LJ! -
since there's already another costume advice post out there I thought I'd throw out my own. I tend to do themes across my Heri's and Wherls, civilian, the Dollz, robot mimics, etc.
A while ago I picked up the Lady Death Warrior Temptress (Ninja cover) comic as part of my usual subscription to Lady Death stuff. And her in in the ninja pose with other ninja around her blew me away, as did the all the various "warrior" themes Lady was drawn in. So I thought.... dude.. I wanna make those in CoX. So far I've gotten made a modern matrix version of her, her classic Lady D look, and plan on making a samurai, ninja, and Roman soldier looks for the 3 Wherls who don't have those costume slots open yet. The ninja and samurai I can fidget with the costume creator to et what right look I'm going for.
However, I'm a bit stumped going about trying to make a female Roman Soldier, particularly the helmet and plume.
If you guys were trying to create the same what would you guys do? -
very nice! evokes images of the first image Sara Pezzini (Witchblade) was ever seen in to me.
-
very nice Warface! pose and facial expression look pretty good
-
ya got the style of the circle down pretty well down to the details on the headband, but yeah, she looks like she's bored.
-
awesomesauce! The PK oughta love that, very nice work indeed. the varied poses that make each character stand out a bit more is a nice plus.
-
damn fine detail on the facial features, good work as always LJ!
-
either that or he has a pair of quivering piles of grey jello for feet..
-
hmmm, yeah.... it may be me but she kinda looks... bored. the pictures makes her look like she's thinkin... "oh joy... yet another day and something else I have to do today." I think it's the way the eyebrow is drawn.
-
yeah that's a great start, the abs do look a bit too long, and too many abs yes, looks like a scrunched spring. Still, aside from that its good, awesome pose, very good coloring.
-
ooo purty!
yeah its very cool to see a piece in it's stages, pencils, to inks to colors. especially by different people.
-
whoa! Nice sighting man! +watched
-
Nice first commission Rook! And you're right, she does look mischievous

Do you make your own costume pieces or is there a pack? BTW although all are incredible.......... Hawkgirl is freaking awesomeness.
[/ QUOTE ]
No packs. In fact, I think my reliance on pre-made pieces is coming to an end. In the case of Hawkgirl, I modelled her helmet completely from scratch, and that's the peice that really brings her together.

wow, all self made, that's sweet man. and true, Hawkgirl's helmet is a-mazing.
