sweet! very cool, taken well from the original photograph

Yup, go get art from Foo, y'all.
Just tell him what ya want, in general if you don't have something specific in mind.
Then let him suggest something, which will prolly sound pretty good. Something that he'll realize after he suggested it that he doesn't know how to draw it. Something that he'll end up drawing pretty damn good, and fast! -
sketch looks like its off to a good start. that middle finger does look too skinny compared to the rest. helmet and head look ok, maybe just a little bit bigger body, or smaller shield, one of the two?
-
yup, get his art if ya can people. These sketches alone are great. That recent one Aluna, nice perspective. And Alex is really good on communication and ideas.
-
was gonna say.. the most I could do is take screenies of one of my chars that uses the toga costume piece... does that count? heh
-
heh its does look a little sad, but a great piece nonetheless

anyone know which comic issue blue steel was in? hehe

Issue #12. Just a heads up though, Bystander made an avatar from his appearance in that issue. -
Sexy, and intimidating, very nice. The leather colouring doesn't look to bad. And I agree, the hands bring out the piece well.
-
Hmm, should I go see if I can find someone that can PM Angie into Herri and someone (not a clue who) for Heri? :P
-
lol funny conversation, and hawt piece, the artwork i mean
.
wow did ya do good. That's one lucky friend to get some art like that. -
hey that's pretty good work man, finding a pose that would allow for the DB and doing that pattern. kudos
-
Hmm sounds interesting. If nothing else it'll be cool to see what costumes are created inspired by the same song.
the Guardian forums did something kinda music related a year or so ago, we posted theme songs for our characters. Pretty revealing thread that one. -
I like both, one for when she's about to fight the other when she's relaxing. Without knowing anything about the character either would work. But reading from the comments on the shy look, I'd agree that it'd depend on the character. As much as the "I'm about to school you" look looks pretty sweet if it doesn't fit the character, it kinda makes it weird.

I need an Avatar and I want a unique fan made Avatar. So that every time I see that Avatar I'm reminded why I do my Job, because you guys make this game great.
I'll pick my favorite submission March 31st.

Too bad you're looking for an avatar and not a full-out poster. If you were looking for a portrait, I'd be all over this.

Pssst, hey Blue, jump on this opportunity..... like now lol and as a bonus you could prolly make a avatar cropped from the poster and such. -
I'll take a shot at this, took this from a screenie in game:
Blue Steel Avatar
Might submit an alternate if I can find my COH comic that featured all the trainers and TF contacts in one issue. -
wow.... that really turned out well. the poses of the 5 main villains looks great, very in theme with the CoH and CoV splashers. Ya did pretty good work on the pets. The bots look a tad bit out of proportion, but considering you had that many characters to draw up and the time frame it's still done pretty good.
-
wow, that turned out amazing. the blurring and movement effects to make it dynamic, the shine on the armor pads, very nice.
-
Well, I defnitely can't try and tweak those existing looks since I haven't purchased the wedding pack, but they do look good.
Gotta question though. What kinda look were you going for? Does it necessarily have to suit your character or be something that they would pick? Were you going for a look that someone will know your power sets and origin without having to check your info windowk?
I dunno if this would help, but I tend to approach costumes for anything I create by what the character would pic, in most cases. Or what they'd pick within a certain look. Like the civilian theme for my Heris. Each look for the most part represents their choices. Heri's a cowgirl, Herri's a biker babe, Lady Heri went for a movie X-men-y look. Herra just looks like a normal kid out of college. *shurgs*
Oops... sorry... ramblin about me, sorry botu that. heh
Her blue skin I'd guess makes it harder for certain colors to look well on her, but there's still ways for a look to work, just have to have an idea what look you're aiming for and go from there. -
idea!! next on dA Radio...... CoX artists Unplugged...

This is Scirocco's, or is it Ghost Widow's, Mako's or Scorp's statue base. I know which it is, but I'll never tell, see if you can guess. This picture, like all of the rest, is in 1280x768 resolution. If you would like to use it for your own select screen, you will of course need to trim it to your own screen resolution (removing 128 pixels from each side, for example, if you are using a 4x3 aspect ratio) and then deform it to 1024x768 (if necessary). The splasher only accepts 1024x768 images, but if you squash the image, the splasher will stretch it back out to fit your screen resolution.

Hehe it's fun to guess this one, although if one has been in Grandville enough, familiar with the patron shields, or have the badges for the villain AVs from Recluse's Victory, it's pretty easy to guess which platform that is.
Nice job on all of the screens of angling the screen jsut right and removing the existing statues.
