she is getting good, did she do the background as well?
-
looks good to me, cute pose, good facial emotion, textures go well for both the top and pants.

awesome in a different than the norm style

There's a Captain Clover in a the Strike Force SG on Guardian. He might make a good fit for March. Head over to Strike Force's website and contact them. I'm sure he wouldn't mind being chosen for it.
Crestent, Are you able to access my Heris page from the Heriverse link in my sig? -
That's a real good point, he does hips really well. I guess I got used to seeing it on the frequent updates Alex provides on the Clash of the Titaneses.

according to some Church myths, the spear was the only thing that could kill Longinius before the Second Coming of Christ. It's also told that becaus the spear was bathed in the Blood of Christ, it gave the holder powers of command over other people.
Some of this was shown in the short lived T.V. show "Roar" which starred Heath Ledger before he hit it big.

Hmm, the spear doesn't have any special powers in the Top Cow stories, or at least the women that have bore the mantle of the Magdalena, blood female descendants of Mary Magdalene, have never been told to use it. It's been more of a symbol and specialized weapon.

Whoa.... that'd be an interesting story of Casca crossing paths with one of the Magdalenas. She carries with her the Spear of Destiny, the Spear of Longinius....

"Soldier, you are content with what you are. Then that you shall remain until we meet again. As I go now to my Father, you must one day come to me" - Jesus Christ to Casca in Casca: The Eternal Mercenary
That would be an interesting confrontation to say the least.
Consider Casca a combination of a long lived (2000 years) Highlander-type Immortal with the temperament of Snake Plisken (from Escape from New York).
Cut out his heart, burn him at the stake, cut off his head or blow him to bloody pieces, the Curse that keeps Casca alive and ageless also makes him impossible to kill (Christ won't allow it). He can be imprisoned though and has been buried alive on a few occassions.
The blood of Christ that runs through Casca's veins is a blessing and a curse. It keeps him alive and ageless, but will kill anyone else stupid enough to drink it or try a blood transfusion (and they die very horribly indeed).
Unarmed or with a weapon in his hands, Casca is very deadly. From his ancient Gladius to a Medieval Crossbow to a modern Assault Rifle, Cacca is a master of War.
Casca also has a phenomenal (almost preternatural) memory. He remembers everyone he has encountered over his long existence, and can recall facts, figures and details of events and memories long since passed with ease.
Casca's sworn enemies are the Brotherhood of the Lamb who have plagued him throughout the centuries, seeking to follow him all the way to the Second Coming of Christ and then punish him with the very spear Casca used to wound Christ (Although the Spear of Destiny itself cannot kill Casca as only Christ will decide when Casca can die).

Guh.... Hmm Maggie would be a bit disadvantaged. Each Maggie that has taken up the Magdalena mantle is just an ordinary woman, usually with an extraordinary faiths, but nevertheless just regualr women, they're given trainign by the church, but they aren't of the batman trained/skilled variety. Most of them have been nuns, others have taken up the mantle before they went that far. At the very least they've all been believers, to the point where they've made decisions based on what they believed of God and turned against the church, when it sought to do something she saw wasn't what God would have wanted.
Not sure Maggie would intentionally want to harm Casca, unless she deemed him a threat to someone's life. -

Yer welcome to use any of mine, none of them are really associated with any month. Maybe Herracane for July, patriotic and 4th of July. *shurgs*

just type it once. the 1 or 0 is like a toggle, it flips the UI on or off regarding screenshots.

Well I'm waiting to use Casca Longinius from the Barry Sadler series of novels when Issue 12 comes out. The novels were loosely based on the stories of Saint Longinus and the Wandering Jew.
In the books Casca Longinius is the soldier who pierces the side of Christ as he suffers on the Cross. Cursed to walk the Earth until Christ returns, Casca becomes the Eternal Soldier.

wow... Star vs Night is so vibrant colored, it was already amazing pencilled but colored... wow... gratz on getting art like that.

cool deal. if it ever comes out i'll shoot you a PM. If its not out by next Friday I might just ask Marc Silvestri himself about it when he's out here for Free Comic book Day. lol
-
A pic like the one from this article?
It was supposed to be out in Feb, but I haven't seen it pass through my comic shop yet, nor have I seen it on the weekly ship lists or on any price guides or ebay. So I have no idea where it is except for its late. It'll prolly follow the usual crossover team up plot line, but top cow/marvel crossovers have been pretty fun the past year. -
I'd look forward to seeing that, Maggie crossovers are always amusing... although they seem to take forever to show up.... *is still waiting on the DD/Maggie book to see the light of day*
-
<------religious babe (the avatar, not me) and not my own creation unfortunately. Maggie is Top Cow's.
I like that bio of yours Gideon. Not as much as I like Maggie's but it's got a nice spin to it. -
damn, that's fantastic Juggy, ya brought that one to life well!
-
Been there! Happened to me on the Foo, Juggy and johnbecaro pieces.
-
wow, very slick. nice self made AT icons and card template. very cool that different poses were set for each character. I'll admit one thing for sure about altitis, there's some unique character concepts/name/costume combinations that I'd never think of due to my creative style, or lack thereof, up to one's point of view, heh.
-
the motion and the angle on that battle scene is cool
-
My first screenshot and second and third and fourth..
my COH Beta and early but now deleted alts page -
sweet collage of a family lineage of sorts. very cool how each are unique in their own style.
