I was under the understanding that the banned arcs would be unable to be unpublished so they would take up a slot.

/unsigned. It can get annoying, but sometimes you want to broadcast something to the whole zone while in the AE buildings.

Fire Melee is pretty stout. Fast Animating attacks (scorch, incinerate and fire sowrd) are perfect for +dam procs and building Fury.
I'm running a level 42 Fire/SR brute that eats through content. I will say /sr is a late bloomer, much later then WP.
[/ QUOTE ]
If I figured everything correctly, a fire/shield scrapper abusing AAO might have the highest sustainable single target DPS. And I didn't even account for damage procs. That was using Incin, GFS, Crem, FS, repeat, which may not even be the optimal attack chain.
[/ QUOTE ]
With brutes, when shooting for AV killers you always want to include Gloom in your attack chain. It has higher DPA than almost every single other brute attack and any brute can take it.
Current project is a Fire/WP that I will use for AV killing and still workin on the damn attack chain. I figure I will just calculate the DPA of all attacks and then put them in order from highest to lowest once Im done -

firstly - ignore the kinetic combat advice. it's good advice, but you wont find any. none.
as a matter of fact on infinity there has been only ONE RECIPE from the entire set sold in this entire month at any level from that set. that's how rare (and expensive and in demand) it is.
[/ QUOTE ]
*cough*
It is possible to find them. And they show up as bronze recipe reward rolls for AE tickets.
My brute is all of 3 weeks old, and I'm certain I bought all but one of the pieces off the market. Further, I have another set, level 32 to 35 (all but the knockback proc) crafted and in storage. Again, mostly bought off the market, though I think the dmg/end/rech piece dropped off an Ouro mission.
If you look at the last 5 sold on Acc/Dm recipes, it shows 4 level 35 recipes sold today. So they are available to those that are waiting or putting out standing bids.
They're rare, but not hen's teeth rare.
Also, FYI, the markets are cross server. So it's as "rare" for me on Virtue as it is on Infinity.
[/ QUOTE ]
i';ve had bids in for three weeks. and no, not low ball bids
[/ QUOTE ]
Odd, I just put in bidds for 3 full lvl 35 sets not counting the proc and got them all in 2 days.
They show up if you have the funds. -

I just really don't like tanking for teams .. too much like being the de facto team leader.
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't foregt people resenting you for it, too.
.

People only resent bad tanks. If you run into this alot, perhaps tanking is not for you. -
Really when dual pistols comes out they should have a nerf gun option.

There is entirely too much Knockback in the game for Willpower to forego Taunt so long. You do know that Taunt debuffs a target's range as well, right?
[/ QUOTE ]
As mentioned though I rarely team if at all yet, I tend to find other powers more beneficial than a debuff for a targets range... thus far anyways.
[/ QUOTE ]
Personal favorite debuffs are the big debuffs to the green bar. -
lol here is the PvP dialogue. Devs- We want to hear what you think about these PvP changes.
Us- No way, here are several other things that can be done to not turn away your current PvPers and bring others in....
Devs- Ummmm no. Love it or leave it but your opinions really don't matter. We were asking to appear nice. -
Dual Chainsaws. Never gonna happen.
Please be wrong. -
Team TP. Had somone take this power after 7 people told them not to. TPd us all up in the air and then ran out of endurance. We fall to the ground into a big spawn, loose most of our health bar when we hit and then many of us die from the mobs. Boot.
Caltrops, Ice storm or rain of fire - Anything that causes a nice tight group of mobs to scatter everywhere. Now if you have somehting that either slows them down to the point where they seem to be in granite form or held, then those powers rock. -
Same here. I have both and yes they do stack.
-
Toss FA. You have rage.
HPT, the damage redux don't do much there. Could use 1 or 2 of those slots for other things. If you have room for 2 damage redux I like the steadfast 3% def and whatever the duo one is I think res/end for a bit more recovery.
Only need 1 slot in SOW. The extra 2 do 0 for S/L since you would already be at the cap and a total of 2 slots for about 5% additional resist. Not worth it IMO. -
Sadly all this was made known to the devs in I13 closed beta and they still gave us the fuster cluck that is our current pvp system.

You actually have 10 people in a zone? If so, consider your server fortunate. You're lucky if you find 3 people in a pvp zone at one time on Pinnacle...lol
[/ QUOTE ]
Here here. There were only a few of us even before the nerfs. Now it is a ghost town. I kind of died a little inside when I deleted Widdle Bunny Foo Foo. -
Just need to go back to I12 rules. Increase pvp smashing and lethal damage.
Allow tough and epic shields resists to all but only half of the normal that it gives to s/l. So if it gives 30% S/L then you would have 15% to everything else.
Toss suppression unless actually hit by a person.
If the devs really want all holds to affect players and only for a short while, fine. Put mez protection back and increase the mag to say 40vs players. That way the heavy will not hold your brute for 15 seconds.
If you can figure out how to drop the resists and def of toggles you can figure out how to keep RttC and AAO going without having them affect the player or anything else.
Toss DR.
Once you are back to this point then you can make smaller, mesurable changes as needed.
All just IMHO -
*** You are ignoring this user ***
Really people. Do this and he goes away. -
Neither. More like average. No wait TOTALLY average.

I would go with Smash Melee/Brute Armor. aka close your eyes and click on something.

Slotting for +regen on a /Willpower brute is the worst you can do (actually slotting for it on a /Regen scrapper is the worst, but still). The +regen will not be noticable and will barely increase your survivability at all.
[/ QUOTE ]
You so funny. I suppose having more defense on a /SR brute is bad too. -
HP and regen work fine for me. For decent mitigation the sweep combo works wonders as well.
Similar slotting as above but with my melee I use 4 Kinetic contact and 2 pounding slugfest for another 8% regen. -
[ QUOTE ]
Unless I'm doing something wrong with my mission, they made a change to the way Force Field (and maybe Sonic Resonance) allies act. I have an FF ally in an arc I'm testing which is supposed to follow you around with the big bubble on to provide some semblance of mez protection for squishies (since the enemies are mez-heavy). However, when I rescue the ally, they turn the bubble off. When I move away from them, it comes back on - but turns off again as soon as I get close.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a new "feature?"
[/ QUOTE ]
That was an exploit that has been fixed. While a few poeple were using it correctly and only haveing one helper with the bubble, others would have multiple spawn and after you rescue a few of them you did not have to worry about petty things like getting hit. -
If you really have that much of an issue with lag in those spots you should probably either upgrade your computer or downgrade your graphic settings.
