  1. I haven't been able to make it to the raids for the last few weeks, but a 'best of the best' raid sounds like it may be fun, I'm definitely going to try to be there most likely on my beam/time defender.

Yeah, I'm still making it a thing, but the last couple weeks between the summer event and real life things happening here it's been a bit quiet. Going to maybe wait til next week and open a new thread to try and get interest up for it again.

And welcome back Bluedood, I started 3 years ago so not sure if we missed each other, but it's always nice hearing about oldtime players coming back! Hope to see you in PinnBadges, best place to know whats going on around the server good or bad (with a healthy dose of drunken speech thrown in for good measure).
  3. Knowing Tsu, I probably have a spot reserved, but if not I'll roll with you, either way I'll probably bring my defender anyways. Not really in it for the rewards (if any), I just enjoy the challenge of staying alive on +4 and racing is always a fun challenge.

Hello everybody, sorry it's been awhile since I've updated this, but eventhough there wasn't any activity this week for it, Monday Night Fights is still active and will continue this Monday.

This week we'll be in Warburg (30+ free for all zone) and if there are enough 50's we may move over to Recluse's Victory. I'm hoping we'l see more activity in the coming weeks but I understand that it may still be a bit lax with the summer event still going but with enough advertisment I think we'll get it going!
  5. This sounds very fun, I wasn't on yesterday if thats when the teams were talked about, but I'm going to try to get on one of the teams. As a long time runner of +4 ITF's, (many, MANY of which I was probably the highest body count) I can tell you they are usually alot of fun (specially if your team leaders sole mission during the ITF is to kill his team as much as Rommy's gang).

    All Washed Up

The moment I heard waterblast was on beta I reserved two names, Aquafearna, a water/dark manipulation blaster and for theme going for the presence pool set, and Hydroforce, a water/storm corruptor.
  7. I have to wait all the way till next Tuesday?!?

Ok, didn't really get the response for this weeks zone I was hoping for, but with the Blockbuster Event live wasn't completely unexpected. With that said I'm also not really sure how the turnout will be this week, so I'm thinking maybe I'll just give the option on the channels between Recluse's Victory and Warburg again and that even if there will be enough interest this week to get it going. If not, Monday Night Fight Night will still continue, it may just need to bounce back after the thrill of the new event wears off. But I'm sure we'll see some good fights tomorrow anyways, so I'll see you then!
  10. My first and home server as my sig says is Pinn, I actually thought it was Virtue didn't know I goofed till already had a few characters going. In the begining, I teamed only a few times and didn't really know how to find any so I tried Protector and found teaming to be easy. Then I was introduced to the global channels, decided to join 2 of the more populated channels on Pinn and try it till the next free server weekend as I had planned to move the toons I liked the best to protector.

Then I started paying attention to PinnBadges. It was like coming home. To a big drunken party. I made good friends with people there, they are my people. I also made friends during my time on Protector and have some fun toons there so I play there from time to time as well as a toon or two on other servers to test the differing communities, but I came home and I don't see anything taking me away from there.
  11. I don't think you have to be 30 exactly, I got new contacts that started Night Ward arcs after I hit 29.

For the second week in a row, Monday Night Fight Night was a great success! Unfortunately I wasn't able to play the full time, but I was very happy to find out that it ended just before I logged back on and that people seemed to have a good time.

It seems that we have better turnouts when its happening in a zone that lower lvl players can access, so for the next round I'll take a vote for the zone we'll occupy, hopefully there'll be enough votes here that I can have it put on the PinnBadges MOTD well before Monday.

Again, nice fights Pinn! (even Kemli & Warlord's Daughter, who made my tank feel like a sleeping stalker )

Well that sucks. Thats the sort of thing we're trying to avoid with Monday Night Fight Night, just keeping it fun and light. With that said, this week (tonight) will be in Warburg but I'll only be able to play it for an hour or 2, maybe a little longer, but by all means don't let that affect the Fight Night.
So, I hope to see a good turnout for tonight, happy fighting!
  14. Ryzzhan, RUN! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!

Just kidding, welcome to the The City & I hope you enjoy your time here! Been here myself going on 3 years and love just about every minute of it, good stories, fun power combos, and the community is a great one (even if the judgement is a bit off as they let me in here.)

I don't think there could be a better answer than this. I fully agree with Samuel Tow, without games my life would be full of stress, with games my life is just a few bumps in the road from time to time that some time putting my brain to work doing things that challenges it creatively to overcome obstacles helps to smooth out.
Can't say that sounds like a regret.
  16. Wait, where are these 'friends' who leaves the game and gives their stuff to others? I know the wrong ones!

Seriously, even though I'm only coming up on my 3 year badge (end of August) I've made friends with some players who hasn't played in quite some time, 3 of them were the first 'group' I fell in with that I played with almost nightly for a while. But far as I know they didn't give their stuff away. As for myself, even if I decide I'm done with the game (never going to happen, they're going to have to drag me kicking & screaming from the servers before they can turn them off) I don't think I can give away everything, maybe a good amount of my net inf., but i don't think i can give away all the purples/PvP IO's just in case I change my mind

Last nights Fight Night went over very well, lasted at least 4 hours with the most participation I've seen yet! Big thanks to all who came out to make it happen. For next week, I'm thinking of maybe Warburg, it'll put everyone at level 38 so that'll give us a few more powers to play with while still giving non-50's a chance to join in the fun thats 30+. And with it a free-for-all zone, not much need to worry about having more of one faction over the other.

So I hope to see some of the same participation for next week!
  18. I like the idea of a gender neutral person, but remember they are 'born', so there has to be some kind of sex types involved, so with that in mind, I'd imagine that female would probably be best in the regards to trying to use more empathetic and thought provoking techniques rather than bruting through things.

Now for AT's, they are strong to begin with, then they had the gift of power, even if it disappeared, so I think scrapper or brute. Though on the other side of the coin, stalker could be a natural race progression for a people that tends to be afraid of anything they percieve as different, but for power sets I think could work I'd go with maybe scrapper.

Power sets, mace/shield. Use a club or something, as a not that smart but powerful race, picking up something and swinging it would be the most likely choice of weapon. But as a show of intelligence, she would think that hitting things may not be enough, so she picked up something, maybe the first thing she came across like a manhole cover, and uses it for protection.

For looks, I agree with other post's that it should start of basic then progress to some more armor type clothing as she maybe not think of it on her own, but notices that other heroes do it for more protection and adopts it.

    *edit*

As for intelligence, I think maybe it should start of as a show of mimicry, acting like she see's the people of the new world act, and have it slowly start becoming more natural for her to think of things on her own than waiting to see what others do.

Going to give it another go tomorrow in Siren's Call. Monday Night Fight Night has been in the MOTD and I'll advertise on the help/LFG channels, with it being in a lower lvl zone we may get more interest. Hope to see more there!

But I think you'll find the game a fun experience.

Ok, letting everyone know that we'll be doing the Monday Night Fight Night again tomorrow! I'll try to be on between 7-8pm est to try to get it started but by all means, if there are enough people on earlier that want to do it please start, I'll be just as happy to get into it in the middle as at the begining.

Meant to post a lot earlier, but was held up. Monday Night Fight Night got off to a bit of a slow start, but had a pretty good finish, a team each (hero/villian) of 4-5 going at it for awhile, balance going back and forth, I'd have to call it a fairly good success. Thanks to everyone who came out to fight & gratz to anyone who even got a recipe out of it, but more importantly just had fun. We'll do this again next week and hope to have more in the brawl, & if you're a reader from another server with a few transfers burning a hole in your pocket, feel free to come try it out too!

Ok, Sirens Call seems like as good a place to start Monday Night Fights as any, hopefully there will be enough interest on the channels to get it off to a good start. Because of some 'unforseen' issues, I'm not exactly sure when I might be on tonight, but with a little luck I may be on around 7pm-ish, but please don't let me not being there hold it up, I'll try to get on as soon as I can.
