I hate blind invites and its because of something you dont find in other MMOs.

When you are TPing and you get an invite box, you have to clear that box, by which point you are falling towards the ground and may not have time to stop before you find yourself on 1 HP with a mob around you.

Thats why I have "no blinds" on my toons. I'm not being rude I just prefer not to get the debt.

Maybe Kill alls could be made Kill 99%s that way the odd mob you've missed as they are stuck in a wall could be much less annoying?

Good idea, any change that makes finding a team or leading a team easier is a good idea.

Right now we just need to wait for someone to say "This has been discussed before"

To be honest I run teams and have no issue with sending a tell first. When I'm solo though I do have "no blinds plz" as I prefer to NOT have a team invite appear in front of my screen in combat.

When I'm building a team I type

/t $Traget, Hi $Target are you LFT?

Then I select a person from the find list and send the message. You can go though the list of people available to team in you level range quickly and wait for replies.

It takes a couple of seconds to set up and is as quick as inviting AND you WILL get a better response.

I dont think you'll change people attitudes but moaning you're better to play along.

I did it yesterday, got the temp power and the cossie bits, so it all seems to work.

With the upcomming DXP weekend (23rd Jan) looming I was wondering if anyone knows how Double XP intereacts with Patrol XP.

Is it
A) you just get DXP
B) you get DXP * PXP (which I think is 2x1.5 = x3)
C) you get DXP + PXP (Which I think is Basic [1] + DXP bonus [1] + PXP bonus [0.5] = x2.5)

I'm hoping it's B, but expecting it to be A

Bad idea, they just get shot, go to the Hospital and then are closer to portal corps.

So they get a bit of debt (or none if below lvl 10) I doubt it'll have any impact on their level progression as they PL.

To be honest it'll just affect the rest of us when we go to PI at lvl 40.

Very good and for the first time I was part of a group that took down the Winter Lord.

In fact for good measure I took down 3 of them over the event period. I'm proud to say the 2nd and 3rd ones were both where we (wife and I) rushed to the aid of Heroes stuggling to take them down and broadcasting for help, very comic booky!

First 50 Two years, I think it was probably nearer 6 months with that toon, but I'd suffered a lot of altitis.

Last 50 (Charge Nurse) too about 5 weeks (2nd Dec 08 til 5th Jan 09).

No PLing on any toon. We play 4 nights a week for 3 hours, but over Christams we (wife and I) got extra gaming time in.

Blue side you can get them in FF in the buildings East of the station near the canals.

Oddly my wife and I often go to PI and hunt Fakes at 37 or 38 for the Unvieler badge and the XP. At that type of level the Accolade the badge is part of is very useful. We do it as a duo and don't bother anyone else.

So I'd say no to the OP for that reason alone. BUT having read all the other reasons I'd say NO to the OP as it impacts too much of the game.

Post I#13 changing my speech bubble colour via options doesn't seem to work any more. Have I missed a change where I need to toggle another option to see speech bubble colours OR are they broken?

The idea was for a crazy build, thus gimping yourself is just one side effect. Lets be fair its better than playing to 50 without leveling thats just damn hard work.

Another thought for a crazy (though not very crazy) build. What about only taking primaries, secondaries and ancilleries. I think the biggest pain would be not having a travel power, but some builds could get round that (kin springs to mind) and perhaps a lack of stamina (though again some builds don't need stamina). Is there a build it would be worth trying with? Is there one which doesn't need stamina and can gain it's own "Travel" type power?

Very true it's not hard to keep 7 other people CMed for a whole TF.

Provided you dont try to keep 2-4 Fortituded (depending on regen speed), 1 or 2 ADRENALIN BOOSTed (depending on regen speed), use RECOVERY AURA and REGENERATION AURA whenever they are available AND keep everyone alive. Then its very hard given the activation times of all the powers and the CM lasts only 90 seconds.

Having Dinged 50 yesterday with Charge Nurse (Empath Defender) I know it's almost impossible especially as you can be sure just as you are trying to CM someone someone else WILL need healing.

I like the idea.

Maybe to reprogram it you could do a mission? BUT only allow the mission to be done every few levels (say lvl 10, 20, 30 40 and 50). That way the location can be changed to a good one for a character of a given level.

The mission could be given out by the city hall rep or maybe by someone new who's in charge of the city wide teleport network, the "City Engineer" maybe

Has anyone ever leveled throuhg to 50 only taking pool/Ancillary powers from lvl 6 onwards?

lvl 1 One Primary and One Secondary
lvl 2 One Primary OR One Secondary
lvl 4 One Primary OR One Secondary
lvl 6 One Pool Power (1st Pool)
lvl 8 One Pool Power (2nd Pool)
etc

You get 24 powers by lvl 50, so the first 4 powers from your Primary/Secondary plus 4 pools each with 4 powers and all 4 powers from 1 Ancillary pool = 24 powers.

Would think it's possible, but you're going to have very limited firepower. Which pools would you go with?

I like this idea, just hope they can fix them so XP comes through a bit more often. I don't think I've managed to use the bonus Insps once on Charge Nurse, every time I've leveled it's been on exit from a mission (often 1-2 bars into the next level) with no one about to arrest.

You have to wonder what the harm would be of them being on a team in the other sides zones.... surely they wouldn't be targetable by other villians or Heroes...... erm bet thats what the problem is.

Though I was helped in the Rogue Isles but a GM who was a blaster and I couldn't attack him so maybe not.

I'd rather have an unskilled buffer able to properly keep the team buffed than die because they cant keep the buffs applied.

I've run out of slots again , I think we need to split the english servers into say 4 instead of 2 just so I can have more alts.




No I'm not serious I just thought it would make a change from the merge the server threads we see all the time

It's a shame cos I always seem to level as I exit the mission and then can't really use the End/health fill and big insps that come with leveling. Still maybe it'll fixed.
