When I run 2 instances, I make sure that most background stuff is shut off.. I type /maxfps 15 into both accounts. This makes the same things happen on both screens at the same time. (Really handy for putting one toon on follow.) This, combined with XFUNK's good advice might just do the trick. Good luck, and hang in!
