This happens occasionally to me. I close the shortcut, give it a bit of time..if it doesn't start, rinse and repeat. Usually, after 3 tries it connects. Sometimes it takes more.

That is strange...deleting your coh.checksum file should not have done anything with your test file. Hyperstrike is correct..you should reinstall the game. When you said you 'erased' anything to do with cox, does that mean you didn't actually uninstall it?? Perhaps you could post a HijackThis and CoH Helper here and some of the brilliant techies can spot something that could help more.

TPBM is thinking about an old movie they saw long ago, and wishes it would pop up on tv one of these days.

Try the simple fix first. Go into the CoH folder and delete the coh.checksum file, then click your desktop icon for the game and let the files rebuild/repair themselves. (At this piont, you might want to defrag.) Then veryify files, and see if you can get into your game. Good luck!
