It sounds like you are really proficient at puter stuff, but sometimes new eyes can help...
Did you try powering up, tapping the F8 key till you get the access screen, then hit 'open with last good configuration that opened Windows'? Do a System restore to a point before you had a problem? (I know these are pretty basic, and I am no great techie, but these have solved the problem for me when similar stuff has happened.) My wonderful father always said to start with the obvious simple things first, then move on. I sure hope that some of the brilliant minds here (and there are LOTS) can give you more insight than I. When you finally solve your problem, I hope you share your results with others here, who might be frustrated with the same troubles. Good luck,RL, and hope you solve it soon!

Well, you could try the following..couldn't hurt.

Download Malwarebytes free and run it..if it discovers any bad stuff, delete them.

Uninstall/reinstall your video driver. I was having freezes a short time after logging in and after doing the above, my freezes stopped. Good luck, and don't give up.

Well, I made an interesting discovery tonight while doing a borked bank mission. This is what I encountered.....exactly as Robson described. I went in and out of the elevator till the 'floaters' were outside of it.


I couldn't target them but discovered that using an AoE power caused damage. I did this over and over till the mission actually completed!

It does take a long time, but not that long..try and just let it run uts course.

I had to change the scroll to 'middle button' to make my mouse work in the game.

I know it's not a magic fix-all. I noticed that after a patch, when I looked at the fragged files in the Defraggler, 90% of them were CoH files. I can only speak from my own experience...there have been a few times after a patch/update that I couldn't log in. Ran the Defraggler and afterwards all was well. If this info can help someone else, I feel it's worth passing along.
