Well, I know for sure that you can add other email clients to Hotmail...and the calendar is awesome. You can sync with both AOL and Hotmail, and both will import personal calendars.

I also use two email clients like you, Ironblade. One is for friends/family (everything else is blocked), and one is for paying bills, ordering merchandise and for business.
I have tried Thunderbird, Incredimail (kinda cool) and Zimbra. I went back to just keeping the email proggies in the 'favorite' bar. I can open them both if I need to in different tabs in the same window...don't usually need to do that. I use AOL (not installed, just the web version) and Hotmail. AOL has just introduced Project Phoenix, a souped up improved version that's quite nice.

I had a corupt driver that caused problems. After a total uninstall and clean reinstall all was well.

You might want to go to your CoH folder and delete CoH.checksum. Then click your CoH desktop shorcut, and let the checksum rebuild itself. (You might have some corrupt files.) When it's done, do a defrag, verify files and try to enter the game. Good luck, and hope that works!

Finduilas, I would first call Verizon Fios and ask if they have experienced problems in your area. They should be able to remotely test your connection/speed to see if there is a loss. If there is a problem on their end they should resolve it for you. If it turns out to be not that, come back here and we'll carry on. Good luck and don't give up.

You might try some simple fixes first that have worked for me.

Delete the Coh.checksum from your CoH folder in Windows Explorer...then hit your desktop shortcut and let the files rebuild fresh. (There might be some corrupted ones.)

After that, do a defrag. (also, I ALWAYS do this right after a patch/update before going into the game....for some reason, the patches/updates bork the files.) Defraggler is a great, fast and free program, and the one I like best.

These steps have solved problems similar to yours many times and are the things I always try first. Hope they help. Don't give up!

Hmmm...I defeated him with my fire tank before the patch. I lured him to the hallway..when he bifurcated, the buff-pets were still between the rails by the center in the big room and were out of range. I never even killed them, just zeroed in on him. It will be interesting to try and duplicate what I did with another tank. If the buff-pets' range has been increased, might be a prob. I really enjoy soloing, and hope that this new change won't force anyone to team just to defeat him.
