Warshade...tried a couple of times. Do not like.

Try simple things first, Fortress. Make sure you don't have uneeded things running in the background using resources. Then, defrag. (It's amazing to me how badly the game gets borked, especially after an update/patch.) While in the game, I hit /reloadgfx about every hour. I also made a shortcut for ipconfig /flushdns and do that before going into the game. (This seems to help if I experience lag, which isn't often...I have an old putersaurus that runs the game just fine.)
If those things don't help in any way, I'd sugest you post a HiJackThis report and dxdiag here so the smart techie folks can give you more insight. Good luck, and hang in there!

Nyx, I have been playing since April 28th 2004, and I have never once been bored. I have a few 50s and have yet to do even one Incarnate trial....I will when I feel like it. I STILL have not done everything even after 7 years, and the devs continue to add more and more goodies/changes. (I'll probably NEVER catch up LOL.) I love playing my 50's, especially teaming up with lower level characters/friends. Perhaps, to 'freshen' things up you could try:

Do missions at the AE...this is a source of creative and totally new content that will be a real change.

Go to Oro and go back in time. Challenge yourself to do all of the missions you skipped, dropped or out-leveled.

I always promised myself that if this game became a grind or was no longer fun, I'd stop playing. For me, there is no end in sight...there are just too many things to do that are yet to be done. It's not only one journey. It is thousands and the end remains over the horizon, always. I truly wish you good luck and hope you get your 'fun' groove back.

7 year vet here, too. I honestly have never been bored and love this game. (Tried others, none came close.) Made friends, sometimes laughed till my stomach hurt, and have to say it's the cheapest 'therapy' there is for getting rid of anger. I made myself a tee shirt that has "City of Heroes-It's just a game", along with a pic of one of my toons on the front....the back of the shirt says "...yah, right!" LOL. Like the OP, I have invested thousands over the years into the game, and more. There is a loyaly and emotional investment for me also. ( I remember a moment in the game that moved me deeply...the day Christopher Reeves passed away, Atlas park was filled with players facing the flag, saluting, grieving and on bended knee as a tribute.) There have been many moments like that for me. To lots of mmropg players, this is just a game. For me, "....yah right!" I am looking forward to continuing the fun, creativity and new goodies for as long as CoH lives.

Downloaded and tested. They work great for me. I had a lttle flickering occasionally with the last drivers, none with these. I am getting a slight fps improvement also.

Babs has always stood in that spot since day one. Galaxy will be gone when the new issue goes live.

I had the G15, but found I didn't really use the LED screen, so I got a G11. it still has the 18 keys. I love it.

The devs paid attention!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These are SO much improved over the original concept, it goes off the Richter scale!
