I, too, have a few toons inspired by movies I have loved. (I even try and make at least one costume as close to the movie version as possible, and try to get the powerset as close also.)
A few of my toons are in honor of characters that I admire. I created The Lone Ranger's daughter...


the long-lost and unknown sister of Superman...


and Zorro's child...

These all belong to an SG I made called Legends Live On, and are for the relatives of well known folks.
I also love to create toons with a 'play-on-words' name and matching powerset, like HareTrigger...


My inspirations can hit me any time, any place. It could be a concept, a word or whatever. I LOVE the creation part of the process, and seeing my idea become a reality is very self-gratifying. Even after seven years it has never gotten old.

I agree it's annoying. There were characters I had on test forever, and were deleted. I'd like to understand why this was necessary, or perhaps the purpose behind the wipe and lockout.

Hmmm...I compared Hyperstrike's site-suggested driver against what the official Nvidia site recomended (for MY card only) and they were different. The GeForce site said the driver was for WinXP...but Nvidia site said it was for Win7, and WinVista. (I have WinXP, 32-bit.) I usually rely on File Hippo for new drivers, then go right to the Nvidia site to d/l. I wonder why they can be so different?

I had the same problem and it really was awful. I exited the game, rebooted my puter, did a 'repair' from the launcher dropdown then defragged. Entered the game and it's been back to perfect ever since. Hope thsat works for you!

I was so hoping we could solo that mish...but every time I try, it just drops my queue.

Gosh, I have been playing for seven years now and STILL have not done/seen it all....and content keeps getting added all the time. I can't say I have ever been bored or suffered burnout. If I ever felt like that, I'd probably stop playing. This game has given me so much fun in so many ways. I have made some wonderful friends. It has proved to be a wonderful fantasy getaway during some real life nasty moments, and a great way to vent by feeling powerful while 'arresting' baddies. Perhaps a time away might be what you need. Wait until there is some new content to be tried. I play for fun and have never been let down yet. Hope you can find your 'fun' again someday.

Update: there was a lot of flashing right after the patch yesterday. Today, I ran a 'repair' before going in, then a defrag. The flashing is all gone and my game is beautiful again.

I have found that going into the cc an then exiting right away, then going back in waill fix it most of the time. It's still a pain to have to do that.

Add me to the list of 'flashing screens.' Have not had any unusual probs till today's patch. I also noticed Redemption's picture on the Tip menu.

When you have to ask what an 'enhancement' is....and you are level 50.

I'd like to see the swoon/colapse emotes added to the market.

BB, did you try using a driver cleaner before installing the new drivers?
(I use Driver Cleaner Pro which I purchased a while back, but here is a free one that works great

I found this from another forum:
"go into nvidia control panel, under manage 3D settings, in global settings, scroll down to 'Multi Display/Mixed-GPU acceleration', set to either single display performance mode, or multiple display performance mode, depending on your setup. Right under that is power management mode, set it to prefer maximum performance, and that stops the downclocking. Adaptive is default, and it varies the clocks according to usage. Max Perf gives the best gameplay and folding. Now go down to 3rd from bottom to 'Threaded Optimization, set to Off. Better for gaming as well as folding."

Please don't give up..there are lots of very smart folks here who might be able to give you a solution. Hang in, and good luck.

I have had this problem with my pets, also. AND, even if I release them, they still remain standing there! (This has happened after entering a mission at times, too.)

Wicked_Wendy, I agree with you. There are some things that should only be earned as a 50 as specific rewards, and should not be made buyable. I was only referring to these 2 emotes. (The 'tantrum' and 'ghoul stance' emotes are good examples. You earn these by finishing a mission...but they are not specific to level 50s.) I am curious why swoon/collapse have to be so exclusive? I'd love to see them either able to be purchased, or as rewards at the end of a mission that is accessable to all.

I don't understand it myself, but have found doing this, and other 'switch-off/on-then-back' has fixed stuff for me. A couple of times ingame, a strange 'bar' has appeared...I disabled Geometry Buffers, then enabled it again. Problem solved. At times, a reboot will help. It's very good that you shared your solution, as it may help other players!

All I was saying, is I wish they were available to everyone for purchase, not just level 50s.
