Hazy's Garage presents: Panda Power Costume Contest
Wednesday, October 27th, 2010
7:00 PM EST
Please gather under the statue of Atlas in Atlas Park.
Each contestant will be judged on their costume and how adorable it is. You can make a panda costume as just a panda or you can dress the panda up anyway you want.
The prizes will be 150 mil for first, 100 mil for second, and 50 mil for third.
This was inspired by Nemu and other pandaminded folks in SHF. -
Looks like I have a reason to get Hambush to 20 and over to blueside
-
Ocho, check your PMs!
-
Had two full teams again on Wednesday, a good number of us got to 15+ and should be real close to leaving Praetoria in the next couple of meet ups.
-
Had a good time Trick or Treating and doing the events as they popped up last night. 8 hot feet + 8 AM + 24 imps makes for some quick Trick or Treats.

Quote:You can lead a team on an emp, I've seen it done. Buffing team, making sure they are following and attacking the same thing as you, and using AB on hami tank when it's up.Sure, I'd take charge where needed, but I do think I am most useful as am empath.
It involves a lot more concentration than I can muster, but I think you would do it and do it well -
-
I was going to call it that, but some people might not have been around for when that was used as the term for setting graphics all the way down.
-
Quote:Binds speed things up a lot. Setting graphics all the way down also helps with lag. And people wearing basic costumes (no capes, auras, wings, animated tails) also helps with the lag.Edited this in after a days reflection:
I could use binds, I suppose, to compensate for the typing issue. But, there is still a matter of connectivity during high population times. I'm working on this - shopping around for a new MB with memory - although I'd like to salvage the memory in this system, that may be wishful thinking. It's just going to take some time. For now, other expenses have a much higher priority. -
Yes, to clarify leading a mito team is different than being the raid leader. Mito team leader just needs to have everyone following and attacking the same mito as them. A simple target bind and one to let the team know you are moving to the next one is usually all you need. You only have to herd 7 cats instead of 49.

Hey Liberty, I'm interested in what everyone has to say in response to the following two questions. Please answer honestly, and if you don't want to post a response, feel free to send me a PM or tell in game @hazygreys.
1) Are you interested in seeing regularly scheduled blueside Hami raids? Why/why not?
2) Are you interested in leading Hami raids/a raid team? Why/why not?
Thanks all. -
Quote:This is a very good point. Not crossing over to blue side is a good idea, turning of XP and waiting for everyone else is even better. Blazing ahead in levels on a Super Team is fairly pointless with the way things work. We all will hit 50 eventually just by showing up.As there are no task forces in Praetoria, there's no real reason to worry about holding anybody up. However, I think it would be good if everyone that hits level 20 turn off xp until everyone else hits level 20.(Of course, you could keep xp on and just not go through the portal. )
If we have a few folks that aren't at that point, if the rest of us go hero side, those left behind won't be having very much fun, I wouldn't think.
I'm sure we'll cross that bridge once we get there, but it's something to consider. -
Heh, while playing my tank there were plenty of times where we were fighting resistance and I'd be at -40% defense. Being a low level tanker is hard enough, it's made even harder if you're in praetoria.
-
Had a great first night turnout. Two full teams of kinetic fun. Already a couple of people have told me they are going to try and make it to the next outing.
-
Once more people hit 40+ on their fire/rads, would like to try some of the shorter shard TFs
-
Quote:I was wondering why you needed to get to 15 on a toon. That explains that. How absolute is this rule, if you don't mind me asking? I could bring a 37, but I like one of my lvl 7 alts better, and not certain I could get him to 15 by 8p est. I've been working on his costume, powers, and background the last couple days, and I ended up having to reroll him twice.
Thanks in advance, and either way I'll be there unless wild horses drag me away! (and possibly even then...)

Edited this into the first post:
Since we can't join or start SGs while in Praetoria, we'll be coordinating the group through use of a global channel I made named "Liberty Superteam". Everyone interested in this team must join the channel atleast while we are in praetoria. This will make getting people on a team easier. Once out of praetoria, there is a SG being set up that will replace the channel.
Type "/chan_jon Liberty Superteam" in game to join the channel (without the " "). -
Going to try to run one this saturday at 7 pm EDT. We may need a yellow taunt team leader (Laseracid has volunteered), yellow assault team leader, and a blue assault team leader for it though. I have a few in mind to ask, but if anyone else is willing to give it a try, pm me on here or in game @hazygreys.
