afaik the 2nd tier TECH empowerment station is called linear accelerator, so I guess he is talking about the differences between 1st and 2nd tier tech empower.stations.

Claws also has +50% self damage power that can be permaed.. Personally I see spines as the one dealing less damage. I really don't understand where all this prejudice comes from
Afaik, spines attacks in comparison have the lethal damage element EXACTLY the same as claws equivalent attacks, but in addition spines has the toxic DoT. And thats all. Does the DoT really make that much difference?
If you take away the DoT, impale does same damage as focus, ripper does same damage as eviscerate, etc. And both sets do lethal damage. Am I correct? -
I agree with getting stamina, particularly if youre poison. I base this thought to my build in test server event. Plus of course theres the question of most suitable travel power, I have to admit Im not sure what IS the best travel power for masterminds.
Poison trap is the only relatively naff power in the poison set, all else is good, and you might still want poison trap for the -regen. And getting the rez power is of course optional.
On the other hand I've come to the conclusion of propably dropping leadership from my MM builds, it doesnt do enough I think. -

I'lldefeat anybody in the PvP zone on live servers. Test was different, but here the badges have the PvP risk factored into them, and if someone can't stand the PvP pressure while hunting, he doesn't deserve the badges IMO.

I agree, on the first few lvls its more beneficial getting the attacks instead of shields. (that is, if were talking about non-respec build).
Dull pain is beneficial because we'll be going against vahzilok most propably in the early lvls and dull pain gives toxic res. -

I think higher tier use more salvage but thats just a guess. -
Energy melee tends to concentrate on hard-hitting single target attacks, so people pick energy usually for PvP purposes. Its a good set.

Her signature power - soul storm - ignores mez protection it seems. I suspect its working as intended..Thankfully it has longish recharge.
Using def buffs so it will miss is an option. -

I dont know since we only have the first one yet. Afaik the duration of the buffs increase as the station gets better. -

The RV event made me wanna have a spines / sr, seriously those babies handled like a dream. It was like playing Freon without any of his weaknesses for a loss of a small bit of damage. This toon will eventually be build for zones.

Too bad I intend to keep playing on defiant. If there are too few pvpers in here then leaving just makes defiant lose one more.. -

I agree. Im here to have fun. The banter in pvp zones is not supposed to be serious sort. I seriously don't like the current moaning and lolling in pvp zones.
And to Imaginary, unfortunate side-effect of being too good, is that opposition feels too easy. I don't think its that much about characters, although a squad of stalkers at the stealth cap are hard-pressed to find anything that would cause problems to them..
During the test server event I was on both sides, and there were times when zone was completely dominated by either heroes or villains, so I think the power balance will be about even after we just get enough players playing villains in PVP..That may take months though.
Overall I think that villain ATs require more skill to play in pvp than hero ones.. -
I do wish you could place an empowerment station to the entrance room, so I could buy one for my villain's one person apartment

I entered sirens call from the villain side for the first time and I was extremely lucky to get one troller's scalp when scrappers were running around.. Of course this was because my stalker is still extremely weak, badly slotted, no stealth, only SS as travel power, lvl 23But I like challenges, heh.

they mght be worth places for events like raids pvp events and stuff like that but im doubting how much use they will actuly be both to small and large groups

Goonies atm concentrate on tech salvage to build stuff, we have 3 tech worktables, and thus we built an arcane empowerment station to burn away the arcane salvage, and to prevent the temptation of using tech salvage to buffs.
