    I agree, but this might mean that they get buffed later on. After the ED fiasco the devs decided to introduce powers as a bit weak and buff them later if necessary - if I understood things correctly. Currently lot of patron powers are pretty bad in PvP imo.

    Teh good thing about Warburg is the fact it's a free for all. Yes, teams do form but they're normally pick up teams meaning PvP there is still accessible to the casual PvP player who is not in a PvP specific SG.

    Encouraging SG's to field regular teams is just going to see it drive the more casual PvP'ers out, which is the last thing PvP needs right now.

    Personally I see complete opposite. More people in PvP zones brings in even more people. They can opt to watch from the sidelines, try a shot at the fighters or whatever.
    At least we wont be cut off from the arena chat while fighting. Personally Ive yet to see the PvP zones being ruled by SG-specific teams..

    It may be chaotic or it may not. Having the PvP zones ruled by juvenile trashtalkers puts more people off PvP than anything imo. Lets clean them on occasion

    Oh well, its only my opinion.

    What lighting effects? You can change the intensity and coloring of the lighting of the room in three layers, roof, walls and floor. If you want spots, you can try using lamps which also add to lighting.

    How the hell do you jump when held. I think what you wanted to say is that Plants and Earth holds dont have a -fly part to them. Wich I can kinda under stand but why dose cages and roots have -fly then bloody stupid design if you ask me.

    [/ QUOTE ]Because if you're holding the jump key, you'll be up in the air again before the hold actually applies. This is because those holds only work on targets on the ground.

    I wish there was more action earlier though, since I live on a +2 hour time zone.. Stopping at 3 am is too late for persons with real life..

    Teamwork and tactics are essential in any scenario. Nothing to do with tanks or other ATs for that matter, since there is no single type of character that can keep team alive if the rest of the team decide to make it difficult. (well, somebody who forcefully team teleports everybody hell outta that situation is about the only thing that crosses my mind..)

    And btw, I dont know a single tank secondary attack that would ADD to team survival more than taunt.

    TK is really difficult to use properly on a generic team mission, but it still has its uses. An autohit AoE hold cant be that bad, can it? I got it on my dominator.. Well, in PvE its still mainly as either a panic button or something to help stacking holds on a boss. Still one of the cooler powers in the game.

    SIrens is the only zone where people are actually encouraged to enter pvp combat. In other zones they dont gain anything (apart from badges) from it. Hence it is the most populated. The devs might give this a bit of thought.

    Personally I cant imagine playing a stalker in sirens call without stealth. I got invisibility as well at the moment, but no stamina.. heh heh.

    It is fascinating why the red name posts are contradictory to this. According to them, there is nothing we can do tp other players on PVP zones that can be considered griefing.
  14. Same sort of experiences here. RV is mainly filled with badgehunters who we 'are not allowed to attack'. I can understand this if theres a big concentrated effort to get the AVs but other than that..

    I currently run Dark Embrace, murkey cloud, Obsidion Shield, actro batics & opressive gloom without endurance problems.

    I dont have /dark scrappers myself, but after watching conversations it looks like cloak of fear is largely responsible for the legend of crippling end costs. Maybe just drop it and dark is ok?
  16. Devs.. In the meantime.. Mind adding SOME functionality to the mission computer in ADDITION to IoP trial?

    Because I was optimistic at the time, mission computer was one of the first items built for our base.. its been collecting dust and eating energy/control for ... 9-10 months? Shows what you get for being optimistic in this game.

    Hey I actually got an idea.. if you are adding sort of newspaper missions to heroes, you could make mission computer as a contact. oh well who am I kidding..

    You cannot drop unstoppable but you can hold thru it. Unstop still stays on as its a clicky power.

    Like others said, domination doubles magnitude and doms dont get the criticals.

    Well depends on what you want. Personally I think masterminds are great fun compared to scrappers. Especially if you take a bit more proactive secondary as opposed to, say, forcefield.

    If you want to mash things to bits with reckless abandon, make a energy/energy blaster like mine

    On the other hand, any AT can be boring when you are grinding solo missions..

    On defiant I have seen a fair bit of brutes, corruptors and masterminds (ive even dueled a mastermind on arena in a relatively random match, couple corruptors as well), but dominators are definitely the rarest. Brutes are propably the second most common after stalkers.

    I for one try to see things in positive light. True, you would propably not reach the top of arena duel rankings with claws/dark powerset combo, but that doesnt mean it cant be played in PvP.

    /dark is underrated imo. One of the most difficult to kill villains I've met at pvp zones is Lady Fuya who is an /dark brute.

    EDIT: SR stands for super reflexes, another scrapper/stalker secondary.

    You could post what powers you already have and how you have slotted them so we could comment on them.

    Claws is in theory less damaging than other primaries, but it is possible to make it work. Its got faster and cheaper attacks so it can keep on attacking. Also, it depends on what type of villain characters you are trying to take down. Focus, slash and eviscerate are your better attacks, and try to fit follow-up in there as it improves your damage in the long run.

    Slotting properly with Single-origin enhancements is important, how have you slotted so far and what level are you?

    Personally I think energy can fit magical origin, as I have a magical mind/energy dom myself and the red (not blue!) blasts that doms get are cool

    Mind is as control as you can get, but its flipside is that it gets no pet of its own, and its not very damaging imo.

    Fire is indeed more damage, less mez, but I think both sets are good to play.
